fuck no. You sound underage
>buying a 30 year old Porsche (german engineering)
>buying one with the engine in the opposite place they are known for.
>buying one when it'll be your ONLY car
buy a fucking civic you cuck.
Not unless you have a lot more than $1500 laying around for parts and repairs. They're good cars (for their time, not really very good by today's standards), but they're not reliable, and parts can be expensive
>>16475410
>buy a Civic
Why is this the typical edgy response, no one wants a Civic, they're lifeless boring shit boxes. Believe it or not, there are people that a are ACTUAL car enthusiasts and want something better than a typical economobile.
Kill yourself.
Redpill me about S15's. Will I score hot anime booty with one of these?
Asking my sons behalf, btw

they're sporty, slow, fun to drive cars that look like econoboxes. thats really all there is to them.
anything that's RWD, cheap, and wasn't sold in America is overhyped. this is one of those cars.
A pearl white Spec R is my dream car, so no redpill
What's the worst advice you've ever been given regarding cars? I'll start
>warm up your car for 10 minutes
>>16474347
hehe, I posted it again :)
Drive it like you stole it
warming up cars is stupid (unless it's cold out, then it's ok fuck getting in a cold car)
Call me crazy, but I really like the way this car looks. I see a lot of potential in it to be a great daily driver/weekend warrior with the right tasteful mods.
Do you guys think so, or is my shitty taste in cars a reflection of my low testosterone?
>>16474334
It'll be expensive when your aftermarket shit breaks (and expensive to get it), manual swaps aren't common but are doable, and it already guzzles gas which will get worse.
It's also heavy as shit.
But I mean do your thing dude, I would want to too
>>16474334
Dad is that you?
>>16474466
If he was your dad he'd be looking at American land-barges instead of Japanese ones.
hello oh, cel came on on the highway. p2096 post cat trim too lean. I reset it a couple of times but it comes back when i go over 100km/h. Apologies for the long winded post, mazda 5 2010

What?
Some OBD code thing, I think.
Check your O2 sensor?
>>16473912
have you changed your air filter lately or taken your car into service?
Fixable?
every thing is fixable, given enough money and time
>>16473657
Anything is fixable, but stuff like this just isn't worth fixing. Unless you're insanely attached to the car, don't bother
Frame bent?

I know it's an intake manifold for a V8, but beyond that, I'm not sure. Looks to be setup for multi-port fuel injection, but those types of aftermarket manifolds usually have the throttle body on the north or south end of the intake manifold log... unless that's an early EGR setup?

tower of power manifold for a Ford 5.0
So my RX-7 became a project car, and went to a dealer and bought... a Ford Fiesta hatch SE
Has anyone test driven/purchased Ford Fiestas? I just got one not but 2/3 weeks ago. I saw the ST for 32k but went for the 16k SE
Specs: Ford Fiesta SE
1.6 inline
Hatchback
5 speed manual
A few weeks of driving it feels pretty good. The handling is nice, it has okay to good acceleration for a NA vehicle, and its actually fun to drive casually.
I could have gotten the ST, but was just outside my range of value ( I'm working on my RX-7 FC in my garage, currently needs new clutch, radiator, wiring, alternator, installed a turbo so it needs a ton of shit.)
It's a shit box.
A Ford shit box. 16k could have gotten you a great used car a few years old.
>>16472658
>ST for 32k
You must be canadian.
You're asking about it AFTER you bought it?
What is the most aesthetically pleasing coupe, in your subjective opinions, /o/?
Please include year and trim options.
>>16471969
in my opinion?
1976 Lancia Scorpion. Looks are the only thing going for it. It wasn't fast (2.0L Fiat Twin Cam I4). It wasn't reliable (2.0L Fiat Twin Cam I4). And it was absurdly expensive new.
Brand new, these things were $11,000.
To put that in perspective, at the time, you could get a much faster brand new Chevrolet Corvette for around $7,000, maybe $9,000 with options.
>>16472042
It is so sexy though.
>dat ass
Sucked at pretty much everything else, but at least it looked nice. Proportions are spot on and everything, shame they didn't quite manage to follow it up with the Genesis.
What is the absolute fastest factory standard car you can buy that will attract absolutely attention, police or otherwise?
I'm thinking an X350 XJR might be in the running because it has 400bhp but just looks like any other old Jag being driven by some rich boomer heading off to play golf.
E39 M5 with a standard e39 body kit in silver.
>>16471590
In my view it takes way more of a car autist to recognize an R over a standard Jaguar, than it takes to recognize a BMW M car over a standard BMW.
I have no doubt that an E39 M5 would annihilate an X350 XJR in a race to 100mph, but even a policeman would see your four exhaust pipes.
>>16471442
Fast as in top speed?
Or fast as in acceleration?
Quarter mile? Power circuit? Handling circuit?
So. What does /o/ think about this?
Seems to me they try way to hard on the designfront.
looks like every other modern sporty luxury sedan to me
>>16471257
>eems to me they try way to hard on the designfront.
They didn't try at all, just took a 4 series Gran Coupe and slapped their own front grille and Maserati GranTurismo/FD RX7 taillights on it.
Audi
Hyundai
BMW
is all I see with some small changes to make it true OC due not steal
JUST FUCK MY SHIT UP

Are you guys on talking terms?
how double valve spring work?
very well thank you
they need to do way instain mother
>>16470494
Each spring has a different resonant frequency so they prevent the formation of coherent resonant frequencies that would otherwise amount to valve bounce
