H25A is a pretty good engine except the timing chain issue which affect every H25 out there (cant tell for the H27A).

Front diff is vaccum activitated with a pump in the front bumper, i changed mine its pretty easy. If your 4x4 wheels is flashing that is the most common reason.
Manual shifter transfercase is fun.
The 2.5 have a lot of torque, very fun engine.

If you ever have to change an upstream O2 sensor that is one of thr most shitty atrocious job I have ever done on any cars.

It's a good engine but it's now obsolete compared to Ford's 5.0 and GM's small block line. Back when it was introduced in 2003, it's power output was impressive.

>Chevy Silverado had the 5.3 (285 hp/325 lb-ft) and 6.0 (325 hp/370 lb-ft)

As you can see, in the early 2000s it was the best of the best performance wise. However, Ford and GM kept updating and creating new engines such as Fords 5.0 and GMs 6.2. It's an old engine in dire need of replacement or a major update.

They're getting better, but they don't last as long as Hondas or Toyotas.

In 03 I happened upon a 98 Trans am with 40k miles for 9100. It was salvage title and looked flawless inside and out, had been run into on the drivers side. I was looking for either an lt1 car or a 79 older bird because I didn't think I could find a newer one for the price I wanted to pay. I bought the 98.

260k+ and 14 (hard) years later I still have it and just retired it as my daily driver. Salvage or not it was a fantastic, reliable car and I couldn't have been happier with (and never doubted) my purchase.
