Hey guys. I'm finally ready to become legit and race on actual tracks instead of getting nailed by cops on the street. Only problem is how?? Unfortunately finding events is a huge clusterfuck of information.
I've tried looking at the SCCA for chicago and while they're full of info they have very little going on.
If I look at say the Joilet speedway its pretty much the same deal.
I wish it could be as simple as call a number and show up, and maybe it is but I haven't found that number yet.
I'm ready to put my ride through hell this summer through any racing other than drag. Even if you're not around Chicago how did you get into it. Anything would be a huge help.

If you keep it that way for longer periods then sure, stuff might/will happen, but a small touch will rarely do anything, and usually at most it'll kill a 5a fuse or something

No you're fine. Its very very unlikely anything got fucked. I remember once i dropped the dip stick and it landed perfectly on the battery. It made sparks for like 15seconds before I could remove it safely

The reason I started this was because Smythe Kit Cars in Massachusetts did it again. You were all confused as fuck when they released an El Camino-esque Ute kit for MK4 and Mk5 VW Jetta's and Golfs for $3500.
Well, they're doing it again.
This time, it's an Ute kit for 2005-2010 Dodge Chargers. It's still in the development stage, but going by the VW kits they offer, it should also be useable as a truck.

If you're wondering if they're useful, the VW kits are rated for up to 650 lbs in the bed, which means you can legitimately call it a 1/4 ton truck.

Someone hit and run my car while it was in my college's parking lot. Car still works but the front bumper was dented in.

Already contacted the campus police and there are cameras in the parking lot.

I would have immediately hopped on my bicycle (I had a car and bike at university) and looked for cars with marked bumpers. The way your bumper was damaged may indicate if it was a front or rear bumper that hit you. A lot of times, I saw cars back in to a spot so they could leave fast. If someone backed in fast, their rear could have bashed you good.
If your state has front plates, their license plate screws may have scratched your bumper, thus showing it was their front that hit you. That narrows down what you look for.
