Will there ever be a proper sports car made new under $10k again? I get the feeling there's a huge underserved market for RWD cars that get 400+ hp with IRS that weigh under 2000lb - if any auto manufacturer could put a car like that together they'd make an absolute killing.
I don't really understand why prices keep going up over time but the cars don't get any better.

Which is something I don't get - computers have gotten super super cheap in the last 20 years, where a supercomputer from the 90s would be a cheapo disposable laptop these days. Why haven't cars followed the same pricing? A car with 150 horsepower nowadays should be less than $2000 if it was $20k back then

but it didn't fix it ( my belt needed changed anyways )
the squeak noise comes when i push down the clutch in neutral or 1st gear.
it sounds like it's coming from the transmission. Could changing the transmission fluid fix this?

For the last couple years I've had a 2006 987 Boxster S for my nice weather/fun car.
I had a 2007 Miata from 2007-2014... More and more I find myself missing the lighter weight and relative simplicity of the Mazda.
I'm seriously thinking of trading the Porsche in on a 2017 ND. Am I retarded? Is this going backwards?

Hi /o/ pls halp.
When I put my car in reverse the rpm gauge jumps and when I have my car on drive it stalls. What could be the cause? Also when I opened the hood the engine was rocking back and forth.

The first thing to check, always, when you're having a problem with an automatic transmission, is the fluid level and condition. If it's low, top it off, and if it's dirty have it changed. Make sure you check it with the engine running and in park on a level parking spot.
Your engine rocking back and forth means your motor mounts are bad and need to be replaced.

I changed the fuel filter and had a tune up like 7 months ago.
I just got my motor mounts changed and they are working properly. When the car is in park the engine just rocks back and forth. I am still trying to look online what the problem is and a forum said to use fuel injector cleaner so i'll give that a shot tomorrow

Also if it's low, make sure you use the correct fluid type. Your Camry calls for Dexron III fluid. Dexron is backwards compatible so you can also use Dexron VI which is better and some people have smoother shifts with. I've heard good things about the Mobil 1 Dexron VI ATF. If you get the fluid changed, it's also a good idea to change the filter in the transmission since it may be getting clogged and blocking flow.

Did the tune up include spark plugs, wires, and/or coils? It's possible your spark is weak on one cylinder, so it's misfiring. One way to check is to do a cylinder balance test. If it drops less RPM on one of them than the others that cylinder is your problem.
