Well my car got t-boned today by a jackass running a red light. I'm fairly certain it will be totaled.
I've always wanted an s2000, and I think I might finally get one (I've always had hot hatches and boring SUV's so they're "practical"). Is it a bad idea, as a single guy without kids, to only have a 2 seater roadster?
Well not really but an S2000 isn't a good daily driver, a Boxster would actually be better
But as a second car there's no reason to not get it
>>16479708
>an S2000 isn't a good daily driver
Not disagreeing or arguing, but what makes it any worse of a DD than you'd expect of a roadster?
>>16479714
>high strung engine with next to no power under 6000rpm
>burns oil
>ride isn't the greatest for your every day roads
soft top is utter trash and doesn't insulate you from the cold or road noises
>soft top also rattles
>hardtops are all stupid expensive and/or don't fit properly
>cruisin' at 6th gear at 4000rpm just to keep up with minivans
>literally every cop has it out for you, in a car where you're going to chirp the tires

Idea Guys (Come up with Sticker Ideas, /o/ club names, etc.)
Anons with artistic talent willing to make decals for free.
Anons with decal production equipment (Specifically Vinyl Printer Equipment)
i hate to say it but stickers on the inside of the car
moreover stickers on the passenger dash
are REALLY juvenile

I want a manual transmission hatchback with little miles that's fun to drive, easy to maneuver in the city (Boston), will need little to no maintenance outside of the regular, and is <$17k.
Is this the best car I can get, and is this a good deal for a very lightly used, certified, pre-owned vehicle? It's a stick.
>>16479180
yeah i guess
Why not spend almost 10k less for a few years older manual compact with a few more miles? That car still has a lot of depreciating to do.
>>16479180
Scion ia which is basically a rebadged mazda2 sedan we never got.
So I'm going to be getting my license fairly soon and my father told me to start looking at cars.
My budget is up to ~8000€ but preferably under 5k.
I'd like either a mid/full-size wagon (Mind you, I'm in Europe so a full size wagon here is something like an A6 Avant), a GT car (Like a 3000GT) or a compact I could share with my mother.
My only requirements are at least 4 seats, older than 2005, should be a manual (needs to be manual if compact, my mom doesn't want to drive an automatic) and preferably awd/rwd with 150+hp.
It also needs to be reliable so no Chrysler Benzes and stuff like that.
I was looking at these:
>1995-97 Ur-S6 Avant (2.2T I5 230hp 6MT AWD, pic related, I'd probably remap it)
>2002-05 Corolla TS (1.8 189hp 6MT FWD)
>1995-00 Civic Aerodeck VTi (1.8 169hp 5MT FWD)
>1995-98 E36 328i (2.8 190hp 5MT RWD)
>1997-00 W202 C250TD/C280/C36 (2.5 I5 TD 148hp/2.8 I6 184hp/3.6 I6 280hp 5MT RWD)
>1981-88 E28 525i (2.5 150hp 5MT RWD)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
>>16478712
why older than 2005 with that budget?
personally i don't want a goofy hatchback look but I do like the functionality those provide so I'm considering pic related myself if I can find a decent one, but I'm not too sure about reliability of older mazdas because of the whole mazda-ford thing
>>16478712
>needs to be reliable
>looking at an Audi
the corolla or civic would be your best bet.
Horsepower doesnt matter. Its your first car. Its supposed to be a shitbox. Youll appreciate it more when you move on to your next car.
trust me.
So b/o/ys how'd the purchasing go? Went great for me! (pic related)

at the end of the day its still a fucking yaris.
I am exited about the new engine.

Why can't Ford get this part right?
Anyway, should be fun to race in my FiST
Why would anyone want to live in any place with winters?
>Need snow tires
>Salt dmages car
>Sand damges car
>More likely to get hit
There are literally no benfits here. Just a money pit overall.
>>16476834
Because I do not dictate life based on my vehicle and being an adult I can buy a new commuter car when I need one.
Drive this morning in -10 degrees F weather cuz I'm not a cry baby.
>he's too poor for a second set of wheels
>he's too poor for a beater
>he's too poor for a beater
>he thinks that everyone drives as badly in the winter as they do in his sweatbox state
Stay in Florida, you useless cunt. Winter is super enjoyable if you live in a place that actually gets snowy and not just grey.
>>16476834
>Need snow tires
so what, they are cheap
>Salt dmages car
not if you are not a moron and wash your car every month or so
>Sand damges car
nope
>More likely to get hit
if you are a retard then yes, otherwise in winter climates people actually know how to drive.
Wish I was a burger.
It's pretty great. Genuinely a fun time
Sometimes I envy being a burger too, anon. Something about being able to live with all modern ammenities in somewhere so isolated nobody gives a fuck about what you do. A place where being able to spell any word with more than seven letters makes you an intellectual and dumb semen demons are dime a dozen.
Fuck, fampai, I'm unironically considering becoming a burger! PLZ HELP!!!

Matt's response on rebbit is that the guy was kindof a dick or something like that, which led to a bit of an escalation.

It's pretty obvious the guy is a dick, typical sunglasses wearing Porsche dude-bro faggot, he's so high and mighty.
What show is this?
>stage 2
Saying "stage 2" by itself is pointless, yes, but if it's the name of fhe part or tune you do kinda have to say it's running a stage 2 Cobb tune or whatever.
MY CAR IS STAGE 2

so its stock?
Mfw stage 2 auto trans rebuilds that blow up just as fast as factory.
