Why is it that America can't build a basic affordable sports car when literally every other country can?
What about this?

Pretty sure that was ridiculously over priced.

learn to drive amerilard
>>16470975
Ausfag here, I didn't own a car with a tacho until my I was 21. It taught me to drive by ear and feel. That way when I got one I didn't really need it and I could focus on the road more.
Is there even any point to owning a non-turbocharged Subaru?
I own a legacy wagon. It's nice being able to drive it at the limit and know the chassis can go further than the motor. On the other hand it sucks knowing almost every car on the road will blow your doors off.
>>16470968
Besides the engine not being quite a firebreather, it's a good car. Super comfy and still handles nice for being an AWD wagon. I can throw it around a corner as hard as I want and it'll take it. Confidence In Motion is a very fitting slogan for these. The handling is very predictable and all the inputs feel just right.
>>16470974
This to be honest. Most people drive slow enough though that the 170hp is still plenty for passing them with.
>>16470968
There's no point in buying any Subaru.
which is more of a meme?

>>16470825
Depends on aplication.
I will assume nothing sporty because of the open diff.
For vans and pick-ups or other cars that will have a lot of weight on the rear axle RWD.
For normal cars FWD because of less parasitic loss and more traction.
Pfffft... Is that your car anon!?
Hahahahahaha thats a girls car!

If Trump made Ford dump more money into a V8 specially designed around the car he'd instantly be /o/ur president.

>Kerb weight 1,524 kg (3,360 lb)
3400lb Challenger in T-4years.

damn these are going to be great poorfag cars, even moreso than they are now.
>>16469871
They'll probably scale the Giulia up a bit. Remember, Alfa still needs a 5er/A6/E-class competitor (Alfetta?), which would be more consistent with the current Challenger/Charger sizing. Anything under 4000lbs for the Charger/Challenger would be neat.
Wha excites me more is the mention of a Barracuda revival. As long as they don't cheap out and put it in the Dodge lineup, it'd be amazing. It could share a platform with the upcoming 6C coupe (basically a Giulia coupe iirc), which could actually get close to that 3400lbs goal, even with a big V8.
Also, the 3rd gen Hemi is getting a bit old. I think they'll update it around 2020, and there's plenty of room for improvement:
>aluminium blocks
>cam-in-cam independent VVT
>direct injection
>turbo Hellcat (instead of supercharger)
My dream lineup Challenger/Charger lineup would include all of the above, and look something like this:
>2.0 Turbo I4, 200/280hp (Rental car trim)
>304 (5.0) Hemi, 385hp (R/T)
>392 (6.4) Hemi, 500hp (Scat Pack)
>426 (7.0) Hemi, 550hp (SRT-8)
>392 (6.4) Hemi, 800hp (Wolverine)
Just got this code this morning in my 1999 bmw 528i.
What should I do? Any quick easy DIY solutions?
>>16469571
Learn to google. How fucking hard is that. You will get better answers than you would here.
That is a BMW specific code, that means it has a specific reason behind that code. It wont mean the same thing as on a Honda. You need to find a BMW forum with people who work on BMW's that have dealt with the code before. Read, research and try solutions you find. If you can't figure out how to do that take it to a shop or drive it off of a bridge.

How did you find your shady inspection guy /o/? Just brought a 240 back to life and I'm worried if I go to your average Joe tire/lube express some 30-something year old with a hard on for his managerial position is gonna fail me. I should get past memeissions with a new CAT I'm putting in, but the back brakes are fucked atm and I gotta wait till another paycheck to fix those. I can still stop in the allotted time for the brake test too cause I got good 300zx brakes on the front. Did y'all just find the brownest inspection place in town and slide them a $50 or what?
Unless you're in California there's no way a 240 needs to pass emissions.
>>16469423
I live in Texas in one of the few counties that does emissions, luckily I'm OBD1 so the CAT will get me past.
bump cause I know /o/ can do better

Why is Lotus so unloved and underrated?
they are owned by force india
they are really expensive and really slow
weak aftermarket
everything is fuck all expensive
insurance is through the roof
its a very niche market
>>16469246
Lotus isn't unloved or underrated. Nobody buys/drives them because nobody wants to sustain bruises every time they drive to work/school.
