Any interest in an old school audio thread? Had a good one going last week. Anyone have a nice vintage system or plans to make one?
>spend retarded amount of money on old alpine
>still running the original amp and speakers
A-at least it looks nice
>>16484179
Lookin good. Seems like good old school amps are cheaper than high end head units of a similar era
>>16484200
Thanks.
I really need to fix the leak in my trunk before I'd feel comfortable upgrading the rest of the system, but at least the factory amp still works.
Literally, what the hell Dodge??

>>16483961

>tobacco

>vaping

>weed

>>16483961
The only thing i smoke is Nissan's in the toegay
This thing looks pretty sick. Cross-over that actually looks like a body on frame SUV. Sick.
>>16483922
Too bad it's worse in every way than a minivan.
>>16483929
How?
>5000lbs +
>2.0T
wewww
The older lambda CUV's were pretty under powered with the 3.6 to the point of drinking as much gas as a V8. They're nice on the highway but big and bloated feeling and numb in the city.
It's still a massive upgrade over a minivan though.
What is the appeal of 4-door trucks with short beds?
They're very common and look outright disproportional, not to mention you can't fit much in them. The long bed alternatives, when available, don't cost much more and don't look nearly as silly.
>>16483878
People buy them as masculine alternatives to buying a crossover. It's an image motive. Not a utilitarian one.
If it cant carry my bike inside the bed without taking the wheels and shit off, it's useless to me. I can do that in my wagon, it's inexcusable if a "truck" can't do the same. You shouldn't need the tailgate down and a cheesy ass extender to fit a couple dirt bikes in the back of a truck.
>>16483915
tfw your camper hangs off a foot because you got the 5-foot bed instead of the 6-foot.
whats a car you've considered as rare as hens teeth /o/?
>>16483849

>>16484373

I hate every single one of you fucking faggots, you dont even respect me for who i am
Oh, and it IS my car, every part as its my dads, its also mine
>>16483523
Huh? Who're you?
Are you the fat kid I see them making fun of, or the one with the phoney lemonade-stand story?
>>16483539
ok just stop right now, ive had enough
im not fat and you're a cunt. end of story
>>16483548
Enough? I've hardly even started.
So, you're the fat kid, we've got that down. What kind of car does your dad have? I'm too lazy to google, and typing a reply is probably the most physical activity you've had all month.
>Take my fresh purchase, used car into local well respected maintenance and tuner shop for specific brand and others
>Have them do a full inspection to see if there are any issues people more versed in this brand find, after doing so myself for two weeks
>As well as replace faulty timing chain tensioner and cover I already diagnosed as faulty
>Schedule a week in advance, tell them the two parts needed
>Take it to shop yesterday, hear back from them at the end of the day
>"We found no other issues, but we don't have the parts, they'll be here tomorrow."
>Today comes around, no word from them until mid-afternoon
>"We only ordered the cover yesterday, we waited until we pulled it apart today to order the tensioner, sorry. It's on the parts truck and should be delivered here soon."
>No word from them, doubting the car will be ready today as it's 5:45 already
>Soon to be entering the third day of no car, about ready to zip over and chew them out in person tomorrow morning after already doing so to the phone operator
I know it's frowned upon to maintenance places, but we already have another project car in the garage stuck on the lift and I wanted them to do the inspection anyways.
>>16483247
I never understood why typical greasemonkeyshit garages fuck around like this in the first place, but even worse that any of them would even dream of giving you any flak for pestering them as to why they cannot do shit in a timely manner.
Wrench on your own machines padawan.
dude you have no idea how hard it is to find a shop that will even tough my shitboxes.
can you say mechanical fuel injection?
>>16483276
They're not a typical shitty vato mechanic shop, they just appear to have had a complete logistic retard moment in my situation.
As I stated, I already had incentive to take the car in, so I figured I would have them fix this while they were at it to save me some trouble while the project car is being worked on at home.
I expected it to be a 1 day lack of car, and that's the reason for the come to jesus meeting I gave them.
So one of my car keys either got wet or the battery died. It would not start or open the car. My other key, which was barely been used, will not start the car either. I have a ford Fusion 2016...How do I start the car? (there is a semi hidden key entry, but once i open the car it still won't start.
>>16483097
>he bought a shitty midsize sedan
Hahahahahha
If your other key doesnt work, something is wrong with the car
