Prediodical Commie Car Thread
Discuss all sorts of cars produced and/or used in the eastern block countries.
This edition: Polski Fiat edition
>Fiat is a commie car no matter what else you say
>Dacias are commie Renaults
>West Germany is a fake Germany
>Permanent guests: Trabant Family
What's with the recent increase in soviet car posting on /o/ recently?
Cant say i mind because
>soviet satellite
But it still seems odd to me

commie cars are magical
They were also designed very conservatively and car-like, unlike the western autism spaceships with random cancer bulges
wartburgs are so communist
they literally made the stereotypical car, it's a sedan, everything is square aside from the wheels
it's the commieblock as a car, a cheap version of the capitalistblock square car like a BX or something
Who wants to talk about some weird dealership experiences?
I'll start:
>Be me, 16 years old
>Sitting at used car dealership waiting for a purchase
>Bored as fuck, no one to interact with
>Hear door open
>5 foot 10 8/8 semen demon sits down right next to me
>try to say hi but I can't say anything
>She silently puts her hand on me
>She's fumbling around with her other hand
>Starts rubbing her hand all over me
>Hear a bang, think nothing of it
>I'm literally shaking now
>no staff around to see this
>Grabs me deep with Amazonian strength and pulls HARD
>Holyfuckthisisit.pdf
>Don't want her to stop
>Finally muster up the courage to talk dirty
>All can say is "GRRRRRCLKCLKR"
>Tfw she didn't push in the clutch pedal
>Tfw my synchros are fucked
>Mfw I have no face
>Yfw I'm an MGM™ Short-Throw Shifter
You're a piece of shit OP, saw that coming from the first line.
>>16595843
Yeah fuck you OP, I saw it coming before I even looked at the thread
Its been almost 90 years since the creation of the Pininfarina art house.
Are they still the greatest car design team on Earth?
>>16595357
I prefer a lot of Italdesign's works, but at the end of the day all designers have good and bad products.

They never were the best. Pic related is true art, a perfect marriage of form and function.

Should I report if someone dings into my car with their door while at a parking lot?
>park in supermarket parking lot
>organizing papers
>old roastie and two kids come to car next to me
>little shithead gets into car slamming his door out as hard as possible
>clearly hear a bump
>get out and tell old roastie her kid hit my car
>exchange insurance
When I take a better look at it I might be able to buff it out but it might not look the same as it was before.
Should I just suck it up or report it to her insurance?
Pic related.
>>16594726
Closer look.
>>16594732
That will buff out, but what you need to worry about is if there's an actual DENT
>>16594732
>>16594736
It doesn't look like there's a dent. I'll double check.
How big of a deal is dry-rot in tires?
I was getting an oil change and my mechanic showed me one of my tires has a bit of slight dry rot in between two of the treads.
Tire still has plenty of life left, but he said the dry rot is serious, and the tire should be replaced right away.
So, replace?
Could you show us a photo of it?
What tires, what is their wear and what is their date of manufacture?
tires are the second most important things on your car senpai.
>>16594341
Dry rot is not a good sign. It's an indication that the integrity of your tire has been compromised. Your risk of blowing the tire is much higher and something as trivial as going at a high speed on the highway or driving over a curb can trigger it. Get it replaced.
should i get the Volkswagan Golf R or the GTI, I looking to buy one of them and not sure which on to get.

Didn't see one, so I figured I'd start one. Post your big, gas-guzzling shitboxes.
>cutting nigger speaker wiring out of my ghettomobile
>it's grounded in the trunk, carpet has been pulled up and see another small wire going to the same ground the nigger wires were
>cut it just the same
>must've been some part of my turn signals, 'cause now they don't blink, they just come on and stay on.

I'll give you ten dollars for it.

Currently driving the Crown Vic, Caprice is in the garage for the winter.
Caprice has a problem with starting and when I manage to get it started, it stalls out right away. Dash keeps saying low oil so I've been looking into that, I think there is a problem with a vacuum line perhaps... its a phantom problem, I replace something, car runs fine for a little while then it comes back.
Eager for spring so I can get back into working on it.
What are these 3 things on the check engine light?
>>16593462
Left: fan
Top: carburetor
Right: flywheel
>>16593468
So they're using this old logo on even non-carburated cars?
>>16593482
Why would they change a standard that everybody is aware of?
thoughts /o/?
cool
breaks
Bump, my dad had one but I know nothing about them and want some opinions. I recall my kindergarten friends being pretty impressed with it.
pigfat bundle of problems just like my 1st gf
lures you in with the promise of fun which to its credit it delivers on then it takes your wallet and patience on a ride until there isnt much of each left
youll whether stay dedicated to it to work through the problems or youll dump it on some other poor sod
The thing I hate the most over anything is people who don't care what they drive or anything
>be me
>teenager in middle class family
>work 2 summers and buy third gen Camaro
>it's shit but I love it
>Chad's birthday and he gets an all new Camaro
>ask him a few questions
>"Is it a v6 or 8?"
>"Idk it's fast as shit though"
>two months later and it's dented all over and somehow the trans is shot
Why are people so ungrateful for their car? So many kids I knew were handed new cars and they treated them like shit.. Life is so unfair
Cause some people aren't poor
its a disposable piece of machinery and boy it is it stupid to get attached to material possesions
life is fair you just suck at it
>>16588712
this. its just a camero.
What car do these keys belong to?
You got enough fuckin jerky there mate?
>>16632467
do you like beef jerkey
>>16632471

With like 60 more hp? By a couple tenths on a 2 minute track? What's your point?
Don't get me wrong I don't like the m3 and adore the Alfa but wat?
that's nice
but at the end of the day the alfa is still going to depreciate 5x more than the bmw ever will, even if its a twinscroll turbo pile of shit.
The F chassis on the BMW is now 6 years old, dating back from 2011.
Its competitors are all brand new, sometimes developed with the sole purpose of chasing it down. It is not surprising they have caught up after several years.
guys,
listen,
listen guys,
what if,
what if the cam shafts are turned with electric motors.
brb, patenting this shit.
for what benefit? I don't think you understand how engines work anon
>motor stops working
>valve through piston
shit idea
>>16629847
>electric motor fails
>timing gets knocked out of whack
>piston knocks valves out of whack
>goodbye engine
Should I snitch on this cunt? He pissed me the fuck off.
Also what are some dashcams that give night footage that doesn't look like total ass?
Snitch? Nothing will be done about it
You just got initial d'd on.
>>16626916
Nothing good ever came from being a snitch
