Can you even be a real /o/ enthusiast if your car has one of these?
how can you not enjoy that simple feeling of turning your key.
Oh and what the fuck was the point of those civics where you had to have the key in anyways before you pressed the button.
/o/ purists are the cancer
>>16898134
You are not an enthusiast if you have autotragic.
Push button starts are cool.
>>16898134
Push starts used to be a luxury item, now they have trickled their way down to even the most basic cars. Some Chevy model as of late has a ghetto looking key delete for higher up trims while the base model still got a key. Yuck.
Personally, I don't like push starts. Sucks they are becoming more common.
im going to buy my first car within the next 3 to 6 months. but i often hear this
>dont get a nissan, anon. they're unreliable
>skylines, Z32s and silvias suck to the ass
>you'd ought to buy $12k for a good SX
the Z32s i get because of the cramped fucking engine bay and the silvia is a moody bitch but what exactly is wrong with Skylines?
and im more looking towards the N/A normie models. maybe the R33 series since i hear they have good bang for the buck and one of the most reliable of the skylines.
so far this is what i heard from my mates
>R31 stay the fuck away due to prior abuse
>R32 preddy good if you want to pay $2k in maintanence every year
>R33 good all rounder
>R34 pretty hard to come by and they're often abused
also Silvias have the same excuse with the SXs btw
You've been listening to a certain few trolls on /o/ too much. The cars are fine.
>>16898028
>buying a nissan
dont fall for the memes man.
you could have a nice vette for same cash.
I'm trying to decide which car to go for, I've fallen in love with the look of the RX-8 and also RX-7 to a very slightly smaller degree, saving for and buying one isn't out of my budget but from what I can tell maintaining them will be. My question is what alternatives are there with a similar style design but lower cost to maintain, ideally that can be bought at AUD-$7500-$15000? Power/speed isn't a priority for me, if I had to name something I did care about it would be handling.
>>16897915
Don't know about Australia, but RX-8s are pretty cheap here. As long as you get one that has been properly cared for, and you continue to properly care for it, the cost to maintain isn't any higher than average.
I've had my RX-8 for a few years, and the only thing different from the maintenance I did on my Civic is that I change the oil a bit more often.
>>16897915
I´d say the GT-86 is a similar concept, but a different style.
>>16897915
>if I had to name something I did care about it would be handling.
mr2 series.
Accept. no. substitute.
unless you can find an elise which is very likely in that price range.
Which automotive youtuber is the most /o/ of them all?
Is it RCR? Doug? Vehicle Virgins? Which one captures the essence of /o/ the most?
Braden Carlson
>Reddit Car Reviews
please
The one that captures the essence of /o/ won't be very popular at all.
So these vile little cunts have a habit of walking their dirty paws all over your car, sliding down windshields and rear ends scratching the clear coat, marking their territory with acidic piss, leaving "presents" on your roof and chewing through cables/wires especially when warm.
Yet they are a protected animal with big-ass fines when killed.
Is there any way to get rid of these bastards, or do I just specify to my insurance company that I want coverage against animal-induced damage?
There seems to be ways of scaring them off by toilet or mole tablets (smell), beeping devices, Ive also seen a harness that puts electricity into your bodywork so the little bastards get zapped. All of these have about a 50% success rate.
Germanistanis and Austrians will know what Im talking about.
tl;dr how to protect my vehicle and get rid of pests without getting caught
haha. funny looking cat

What's the budget? What's the intended use?
Questions that don't deserve their own thread
I really want to get a 1991 GT-R. What would be the most cost effective way of obtaining one (short of importing from nipland)?
I was thinking of buying one off of Craigslist on the west coast and towing it back to FL. Would this be a good idea? They're super expensive on the east coast.
>>16890082
Buy one off some guy on craigslist that isn't running and fix it. They just hired a 19 year old kid at the dealership I work for and he's making like $9 an hour and drives a 600hp r32. Fucker inherited some money and bought it when it wasn't running for like 15k. I give him props though, he works on it himself.
>>16890082
If going thru all the headache and paper work is worth saving a few bucks then do it.
Pacific Coast Auto is your best bet based on what I know. Email them
>I was thinking of buying one off of Craigslist on the west coast and towing it back to FL.
or that, less stuff to deal with.
OR you can just be patient and wait for a reasonably priced one to pop and haggle a bit.
>>16890101
oh btw I live in Florida too, so he bought the car somewhere around here.
Which car has the coolest gauge cluster?
Protip: Full screen clusters can never be cool
wew
I think some of the VW gauge clusters are pretty good, not the base tier ones but the ones with full MFD.
A boost gauge should come stock on every car though....
>>16888352
Was just gonna say this, I love the gauges in my mk5.
Pic not mine, but related
I see these semi-often. Why aren't they illegal?
AFAIK its still only popular in a select few areas like Houston. While Texans may not like nignogs, they dislike the repression of "muh freedoms" more

Dayum, you nailed my city. Good job, anon.

Every time I see those I really want to go grab my big ass motherfucker of a sledgehammer and whack those things off.

Tokyo drift FTW
Who doesn't love the unbelievable tale of a middle age high school redneck who goes to Japan and beats Donkey Kong with an RB25DETT Mustang?
I like tokyo drift the most, because it is just completly stupid and fun. But I also did not see movies after it
>>16903568
The first one is the only good one.
