Anyone have any experience with the Ford C-max Hybrid? I like Ford's styling and cars better than any other brand. I don't particularly want a hybrid, but I want a hatchback and the other options in my price range are the Fiesta or Focus, both of which in automatic form have horrible problems with the DCT. I was just wondering if anyone here has an opinion on the C-max.

I'm looking at 2013s with ~70k-80k miles. I test drove one and it was quite comfortable and had a lot more torque and pick-up than I expected.

How's the driving experience of the volt? I haven't looked too far into them, just have trouble getting over the interior. Are they quality?

I'm considering getting a manual for my next car, /o/. I've never driven a manual car before but I have a motorcycle. How different is it? Will any dealership on Earth let me test drive a manual car knowing that I have zero experience aside from my bike?
16 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
it's not that different and you should be able to pick it up after a few hours of practice.
>>
The only difference from a motorcycle is getting used to reverse and trying not to roll down hills backwards. Otherwise you know how a manual works already.

New one is actually decent. Uses the same chassis as the Sonic, and a non turbo version of the new Cruze's 1.4 instead of the old 1.2L SOHC Daewoo unit.

But in case you want to live, doesn't it have bluetooth?

Sup /o/ recently bought a used car I'm doing payments on, I have a 5% interest dealer said I can refinance later for "better deal" how do I look around and find a better loan? I had my dad cosign for me if that means anything

shoulda done that work before you bought bro
now that you have driven that car off the lot it is worth less than you owe and no one is going to give you a loan for more the car is worth.

I have nonexistent credit, my dad has flawless credit, with that said realistically am I able to get better deal?

I put 10k down and have 17k left to pay, so do I just bite the bullet and pay it off FAST? think I noticed later on is that 1500 is most I can pay a month. It's through wells Fargo

BMW never sold the e36 touring in the US which is really sad, but they can be imported in about 2-3 years. Should I when they are legal to import?

Aren't they legal now? Check the import white list, I'm pretty sure you could import one now since its so close to the sedan mechanically.

what does /o/ think of this? i'm thinking the sport trim, 2013-2015 because im poor. probably not stick because they're incredibly rare.
any tips before buying one other than the usual 2nd hand buying tips?
anything wrong with these cars?

>spending 15k on a car
>i'm poor
No you're not. If you're so poor get a civic for 3k. Also,
>sport
>cvt
those things are mutually exclusive. The CVT is shit and kills any fun the car might have been.
>>
>>16906824
point taken but im not getting it as a sporty sedan, i can do better for 15k.

how bad is the cvt? i drove a friend's EX with the 4cyl and it was acceptable for what it is, so i really dont think i'd mind it. definitely would test drive beforehand tho
>>
The V6 doesn't have a cvt so get that.

Otherwise just get a 2011-2012 8th gen without the CVT if you want a 4banger, pretty much the same shit and cheaper with a 5spd auto.

Why are people always mistaking my 63 belair for a 64 impala?

64 isn't even the same shape chevy as a 63 and the badges clearly say belair on them.

Pic isn't my actual car.
18 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
who cares theyre basically the same car and not everyone is autistic enough to learn year to year differences

yours is just a lower trim Impala anyway
>>
>>16906694

Black guys and mexicans think my car is a piece of shit because it's a four door and not an impala though.
>>
Also it doesn't make sense.
If you don;t know the shape and year model don't call it something it's not.

Imagine if I went up to someones 92 integra and started saying oh man that's a real nice 88 civic.

People would think I'm retarded and they'd be right. Yet people always do that with my chevy.

Have a chance at getting a NA Subaru for £450, is it worth going the route of adding the turbo, or should I save up for one that is turbocharged at around £2k plus?
26 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I don't know about them but most cars cant simply be turbocharged and be exactly the same as a factory turbo. So no, unless its a project car for you.

£2000 turbo is going to be fucked and not worth it unless its a project where you will have to replace the turbo, etc.
>>
You can't just slap a turbo on the NA, it's got much higher compression and would explode under boost

And don't buy a £2000 turbo either, it'll have 200 thousand miles on it, or be abused by retards like you to the point of being ready to die
>>
>>16906546
Some look decent at 2k, but of course 5k+ subaru are looking all the better. Just need the (((money))).

>>16906660
>retards like you
>offers shitty advice

What do you think a Subaru is for, not for cruising any way? Think before posting, lad. I understand you can't whack on a major turbo, it's not my fucking point. It will obviously have to be tweaked, but the question is: Is it worth putting money into an NA subaru over just getting one factory made?

I have seen some at 2.5-3.5k with engine rebuilds, but if I can do it with the NA for cheaper, I will.

Fucking hell, buying a used car takes too much social contact and communication for a typical 4chan aspie like myself.

I look with awe at people who find it easy to buy and sell cars and actually enjoy that. I have a pretty decent pay and I can easily afford the miata I'm looking into currently, but it's such a big deal for everyone around me. My parents are urging me to reconsider because it's a 2001. car and they want me to shell out almost twice as much on a brand new shitbox because it's brand new and will not break down. My friends are contemplating if the mileage was tampered with or not, I'm looking into the taxes and the procedure involved, parking spaces I could use near my apartment and calling up the shops to get an expert opinion. Suddenly every person in my social surroundings knows I'm buying a miata and will ask me why.

At this exact moment, I kind of want to give up on everything and be a bus rider forever. It's far simpler and free of drama.

>>
>>16906104
Yeah, but that's not enough. Since I try to always be polite, I didn't ask a lot of questions I should have. I had a look at the car without having any talk on the price, without pointing out some minor damages on the car, hell, I forgot to write down the registration number. I don't even know the guy's name.

My co-worker bought a stock 2013 BRZ in manual. He never drove stick before buying it, is still bad at it, and knows basically nothing about cars (he doesn't know what a boxer is and thinks it's fast, for example). I'm going to help him learn manual, but should I try and get him into cars as well? It's basically made for enthusiasts.
21 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
no. you should mind your own business and not get jealous because he bought a BRZ.

just let him get on with his life and get on with yours too.

just because youre an "enthusiast" doesnt mean people like it when you force your dick down others throats. let him ask you first if he wants help.

Not sure which to go with. Sadly I need autotragic because women are worthless, though It seems to perform atleast as well as the manual even if its not as fun.

Give me a quick rundown. All the options are 07-10 so sadly the dual clutch is not going to happen for me.

There is also a 650i 07 and a M3 04 SMG i could get.

Thoughts comments advice appreciated. I'm not sure but leaning towards the convertible simply because its in the best condition.
