I miss when cars came with factory oil, volt and temp gauges, either as standard or optional equipment.
HOWEVER
Are they just idiot lights disguised as gauges? What models of car offer gauges that actually do their proper job? Which offer gauges that are pure bullshit?
>>16896606
Gauges were inaccurate and were clutter. With computerized cars there really isn't a need for them.
I like them, but most people don't. Also gauges without actual numbers on them suck shit.
If your oil pressure and volt meters don't have numbers then they don't mean anything.
The oil pressure gauge is gimped. Because oil pressure changes by how the revs are. It would be like a second tachometer if it were 100% accurate.
>>16896620
yeah boost gauges change with rpm too but people still use them fuckwit
Why are performance-oriented inline-4's almost always 2.0L? Why not 2.4/2.5 for the extra displacement?

You can do a 2 inch spacer lift before you ruin CV axles.
The rest has to be tires depending on how much you want.
I haven't actually seen this kind of thread before, oddly enough. You guys talk about cars, but we don't always know whether you actually own or not.
So tell me /o/, what car do you drive? Post a picture of it if you can.
I don't just drive it.

I understand OP, reason this thread doesn't seem to prosper is because of the overwhelming amount of opinionated bus jockeys.

hi postie!
>GM engine

>Honda manual transmission
P E R F E C T I O N
But the Alpha Chassis is god-tier and the FD of the 90s doesn't represent what mazda could produce today as of now the only thing we have to go off of is the miata. We already know that just because Toyota produced the Supra in the 90s and the LFA on a unlimited budget doesn't mean they can make an affordable fast RWD chassis as made obvious by their partnership with BMW for a platform.
I also think Lexus interiors are better than any BMW.
No opinion on the rest but..
>Alpha chassis from GM
>Lexus exterior and interior styling
I don't know who should supply the engine necessarily. i wanna wait until GM unveils their new DOHC engine. Toyota's are kinda old not that there is anything wrong with that.
Alpha chassis combined with Lexus styling = gawd musheen. honestly wish Toyota really had got an Alpha chassis from GM instead of the Z coupe from BMW. its not like the Alpha can't be really light (sub 3,300 lbs for the V6 probably a bit more with turbo and intercooler for the usual Supra setup) which would still be less than the last Supra.

How much does a decent used 1990 Mazda Miata cost? I really want one and started saving.
>>16887410
Why 1990?
They are the slowest ones.
Get 1994+ for the 1.8L and have at least a tiny bit more power

Good point, but how much would a decent one cost? Also what kind of parts should i add?
