more practical in close quarters, less likely to blow up spectacularly when hit, the OG Guntank basically depicted them as machine guns that happened to have missiles as ammo.

Starting September 1st, you have two months to build, customize, and paint a mobile suit of your choice into your own personal design. This can range from just a repainted Zaku to a kitbashed Gundam loaded with any spare rifles and Rocket Launchers you can find. Any suit from any series is fair game, just stick to 1/144 kits and you're good. When you're done feel free to post it in the thread, but also send pics to [email protected] so that all the entries can be judged/posted at once when the group build is over (If you don't want to be judged for the contest just feel free to mention it when you send in your pics).

I was kind of disappointed that the 2nd half of the movie completely moved away the focus from Nova-Shocker's plan. I think focusing it on the main cast stopping that would have been more interesting than the Alexander eyecon taking over as the main villain for the 2nd half.

There's a torrent for raws here, and eps 1-3 are subbed on youtube somewhere, but that's all we've got.

I personally think that even if the show stinks, someone should still sub it if for no other reason than the short length and the pure curiosity about what it is. It's also one of the only mecha shows in the 2000s with no complete dub, or sub. Not even an HK set.

Really? Even Getter Poseidon? I think Poseidon and Neo Getter 2's original design from the manga are the absolute worst Getter designs.

My favorite combiner is a tie between Voltron/Golion and probably the shin/original hybrid designs from new Getter (it's hard picking a favorite generation of Getter). My favorite would be Black Getter but I don't remember it ever opening get into jets so I think Ryoma rebuilt that scrapped Getter 1 with the body fused together.

Yeah, I have a soft spot for Poseidon. I think I may like it better than Arrow. Might be nostalgia, but I love G. The black one does look pretty sweet though.
