Everything is it's own thing except for Decade which is everything. Ex-Aid literally just started last week. OOOs is arguably the best of the newer style of Heisei riders. Kuuga is the best Heisei rider period, but it's told in a cop drama format so it's not for everyone.

I thought the Level 1 CGI battle was pretty neat though. Lots of jumping about and such.
The person in the suit is pretty acrobatic in something so chunky looking to move in as well at points, like when he was flipping about to kick the meat monster.

From what the show said too, they only need to fight monsters in Level 1 form when the monsters are the meat blobs.

The main point of being a Rider is not being evil because of awesome powers. Most of the Riders' powers are based on their enemies. It's just that early Riders' enemies are cyborgs. Some examples like Black's power came from Gorgom, Ryuki are from a contract with mirror monsters, W's powers are refined Gaia memory, OOO's are part of the main badguys, etc.

As a person who likes both, I'd say overall sentai is the better franchises with a few PR instances that are better than their counterparts.
Thing is, Power Rangers being the particular show it is, the end result depends too much on how the producers see sentai footage. When they see it as the tool it is, you have the best seasons. When they see it as the limit it shouldnt be, you have some of the worst seasons. Sentai has, even at it worst, way more dedication on making a good product(regardless of the result).

Yeah. It definitely feels like a minority opinion, but there are definitely some that didn't like Fourze. I found the overall structuring of the series was absolutely awful, and none of the characters really went past one-dimensional stereotypes. Meteor was fun for a few episodes, then he started jobbing left and right and was just kind of boring. The high school setting did absolutely nothing for me, and the theme of friendship felt kind of cheap when so little time was spent developing actual characters out of the friends. And the gimmicks were the most horribly hamfisted I'd seen before Ghost. Every two episode cycle was 'problem > new switch > new switch is conveniently exactly what overcomes the problem > new switch is forgotten and never used again.'
