Someone that's transmasculine has started messaging me on a vanilla dating site recently and we seem to be getting on pretty well but if I'm honest I don't really know much about what transmasculine means and google seems to give various conflicting definitions.

Since transmasculine is a very broad label (covering the full range of AFAB persons identifying more with maleness, masculinity, and/or manhood than femaleness, femininity, and/or womanhood), I'd say that it's understandable to ask those questions. If you want to be particularly polite/inclusive, you can open up with your own preferred pronouns.

Cool, thanks, it feels slightly awkward that we've exchanged quite a few messages in the last few days, not entirely sure when is best to bring it up. Starting the long trip up to my college tomorrow (FL to NH).
