Okay, so, long story short:
19 F - just realized I'm actually attracted to girls about 8 months ago, not sure how/when to tell my friends/family. I'm thinking of telling them but somehow I feel held back because I feel like I've not fully accepted myself as gay yet. I KNOW I'm gay, I just can't really come to terms with it. I can't consider myself gay, whereas I have nothing against the LGBT community.
Thing is, I'm starting uni sep 5th and I feel like it would be so much easier to just tell people up front that I'm gay, and not have to come out 'twice' to people who think I'm straight. Immediately coming out at uni has the benefit that people won't have known me as 'straight' so it'll probably be less of a shock than to those around who do, now, know me as straight.
Thing is that I'm not sure if I'm ready to come out in such a short period of time. Any advice on this?
