If you were expected to go clear out a place like pic related, how would you prefer to be armed, and how would you deal with long, narrow corridors broken up by cramped but relatively spacious underground rooms?
Assume your mission is to disrupt the efforts of enemy saboteurs before they damage otherwise crucial infrastructure.
Personally, it seems like a suicide mission to me. No real space to maneuver. No real cover. As soon as the shooting starts you'll be too deaf and disoriented to be useful.

Depending on the length of the average mission, I'd go for heavy protection, focusing on the front as we're most likely going to be advancing.
A squad/group would have at least two guys with suppressing weapons. And they would all have molotovs or something similar. Good for underground places, won't damage the walls or ceiling, oxygen deprivation etc.
I'd just have a ''we're not hiding, so we're going full force on intruders'' thing going on.

Y'all /k/now w'hut? I'm buying an old brick townhouse in a bad Saint Louis neighborhood for a reasonable price. It has four bedrooms, and, because I'll be making the basement my personal demesne, I'll grant the four upstairs bedrooms to worthy /k/ommandos eager to join our coon hunting lodge! The rooms are large, so having pairs of bunk-beds would allow four fire teams for a total of sixteen troops billetted upstairs; the ground floor is equally spacious, so we can have cots & couches for pledges eager to be chosen to replenish the ranks of the sixteen primary hunters as they are lost. I'll need rent from each of you guys, of course, but we can work that out. You know what? I'll charge $250 per room; whomever's in each can work out how they'll pay, as long as I'm getting at least a thousand bucks a month in rent from the club's members. In exchange, you'll get prime hunting grounds for some of the most dangerous game in North America right there in the heart of its urban environment! So, who wants to go hunting? :)

Yes, especially on my home defense gun. You can't be too safe, because you never know when a gun will just decide to randomly fire.
