Are the infos provided on his vids any legit? I'm interested in melee and historical weapon but is quite ignorant when it come to their actual specs and whatnots
>>29343147
He's an insufferable autist.
Go read some written articles or comb the relevant boards for information, youtube a shit.
>>29343157
but that take efforts anon, all i want to do is be a lazy bum and watch vids
From my perspective he and every other swordfag on the planet treats the idea of "steel and heattreat" like some kind of unknowable voodoo and refuse to believe that their precious $500 sword wasn't hand-made the old fashioned way by a barechested man with hand tools and an open flame.
Aside from that and his general autism, sure. He's fine. Just be aware that anything factual that comes out of his mouth he read somewhere else.
Hello /k/,
Im as new as they come.
I was curious what weapon this is and if the switch you see is the safety. And is it on or off?
Thanks
>>29343141
It's a Heckler and Koch UMP. Looks like that's a safety and it is on. Red means dead.
Looks like the safety is on.
White's on, red means hot.
>>29343148
Agreed. Interesting it is semi only...
Someone did it.
The assault rifle. Combing a rifle with an assault weapon.
Assault weapon is a made up term

That is an armalite rifle 15 magazine
Ok , Dumb Question : Could a group of Civilians operate an Artillery cannon / mortar with just a day of formation?
Mortar maybe, direct fire from static position easily.
Mobile mortar setup or indirect laying calculations difficult.
Artillery, direct fire unlikely, indirect complicated and unlikely
>>29342608
Not at all. 10-15 days of professional instruction, probably
why not? theres probably a few instructional videos online on how to do all of it.
My second pair of mechanix gloves just wore out and I'm looking for some better ones that will last a bit longer, any suggestions?
Also tacticool gloves thread.
+1 for sailing gloves
gloves are disposable pieces, my ironsights got about 6-8 months of hard use before the thumb and index blew out. still not like 40 bucks every half a year is a lot.
I hear the SKD PIG gloves are pretty durable though
>>29342459
Best gloves I've even owned.
Do you agree with the US Army's chief of staff that the MHS program should be dropped and Glock 19s bought as already used by special forces?
http://www.military.com/daily-news/2016/03/21/army-chief-eyeing-glock-pistol-as-services-next-sidearm.html
Which companies were contesting anyway?
>>29342383
Are glocks susceptible to dirt/dust/sand impeding function?
>>29342430
Yes. They severally impede the fragmentation of the glawk
What pistols have US special forces used in the last two decades?

I'm sitting here "inspecting my ammo" with my safe open behind me until I can confirm 100% what is going on, they dont have windows on this side of their house
>>29342171
Still call 000 and tell them there's a serious DV going on. Extra points if you're North Brisbane area, I'm living in the area with the highest DV rates in QLD, loving it.
Also, if customs declares those toys firearms, then they should treat them as such. They are breaking the first few rules of firearms handling, if they call that stupid because they're just toys... well good work hypocrites.

Seems like a lot of people claim that Russia was subpar in terms of organization and strategy, which led to a large series of reforms. What did Russia do well and do poorly in that conflict? How did the US-trained Georgian military perform?
the war revealed insufficient coherence at the tactical level as well as traditionally weak aspects of russian military such as night operations, reconnaissance, communications, and rear support. georgia's effective use of new-generation sam and radar systems has significantly complicated russian air operations during initial stage of the conflict, which lead to the greater attention to sead
still, it was rapid success. 3 tactical battalion groups have been deployed to south ossetia for counter-assault in a matter of hours. within 3 days, sufficient amount of manpower, vehicles and equipment has been introduced into region with hard natural conditions and defeated equally large force
the reform, initially conducted by the civilian defense minister, had aimed to adopt more mobile and compact brigade structure as opposed to soviet divisions, gradually reduce proportion of conscripts in the army to increase number of contract-based servicemen, import more western equipment from thermals to mistrals, create united special operations command equivalent to british uksf and american sof
since the old minister has been removed due to corruption charges and shoigu took over, number of initiatives is either reversed or pent-up while the main focus has shifted from structural changes to rearmament, re-training and social benefit programs
>>29342820
Yeah nah brah. Georgians are fuckups. I mean, Russia is a fuckupper too but Georgia truly defined fucking up. They did not seal the sole tunnel that the Russians were pushing their troops through when they had the chance. That alone could have stalled the Ruskies long enough for a diplomatic solution. But no. What a fuckup.
>>29341903
Considering how the reform mainly was aimed at reducing the russian military size and restructuring it i'd say it had very little to do with the war with Georgia, apparently it was already planned and attempted in 2003 and they just didn't get around to implement it.
If the reform had been a tactical one it would have been different i suppose.
/k/, what are some ways to conceal carry a handgun when riding a motorcycle? Also, what are some other methods of self defense that can be used?
For example, would having collapsible baton or knife secured somewhere on the bike be a good idea?
Ass-crack would be your best option for CC, and a bag of broken spark plugs would be your best non-gun weapons. As for why melee is a bad idea:
>Newton's 3rd law: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction
>>29341886
A lot of people I know go with shoulder holsters worn under their riding leathers/motocycle jackets, since it's a bit more comfortable on crotch rockets and the like. Also, and I've never bought pavement on a real bike before so I wouldn't know, but they say falling off and landing on something hard on you ribs is a bit better than something Hard up against your pelvis.
>>29341907
I was thinking more along the lines of being stopped at a red light and jamal gets mad you cut him off and tries attacking you.
So how do you go about cleaning an AR I got alot of wolf for really cheep and forgot to clean it after shooting it all up. I have kinda left it sitting for a few months and am getting worried
dont worry about it
>>29341495
itll be fine. if youre that worried about it just youtube it and find a video to show you how to field strip your ar. if you cant pull that much off you probably shouldnt own a firearm.
>>29341504
So I can just close it back up and clean some other time after a few more range trips?
I'm cleaning up an smle, and the only issue I'm having with the cosmo is on the rear sling mount. I've put it in boiling water, heat gun, soak in mineral spirits for a day and trying to scrape off what I can. It's so in there that I can't unscrew the hinge piece because it's in there with the threads so bad, I've broken two screw drivers in a vice trying to open it. It's all dried on there, and I've never seen cosmo this stubborn before.
Any fullproof ways of getting this shit off?
pic related, this is the piece I'm having the issues with.
Acetone works quit well
I remember my friend saying he had to soak his sks in brake cleaner.
I need your advice /k/
So I live in kind of a shitty neighborhood and I feel like I need a gun to defend myself sometimes, but I'm an alcoholic with a history of suicidal thoughts. I'm afraid if I had a gun I would get drunk or have a moment of weakness or something and hurt myself or someone else. What is my best option?
>>29341330
1: sack up and stop being depressed.
despite what you think depression is a mindset you choose to be in. the road out of depression isnt instantaneous, its long and heavily psychological. go to a shrink and have them fix you.
2: if you think youre a danger to yourself dont buy a gun
3: getting drunk is degenerate
An education, better job, moving to a good place.
>>29341330
I'm in the same boat about the alcoholism. Except I've already resolved to stop drinking since I'm getting a gun.
So I've been watching a lot of battle footage and I've grown to realize that terrorists are horrible snipers. Why is this? Is it lack of training or experience? Is it the guns they use? Not that I'm complaining but it just seems weird that in a lot of the videos the terrorist sniper in like 400 yards away and they completely miss. I have a dirt cheap Ruger American and I can hit a small Gallon of milk all day at that distance. I'm probably not factoring something in but that's why I'm asking?
Partly the low quality of weapon and ammo, partly the lack of training, partly the pucker factor
because killing infidels >>>>> basic weapons care

I have a story for you assholes.
It takes place in a gun store so it's /K/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fmdu6a3GpWY
Gimme a sec it's long. Also try not to be racist assholes.
Out shopping at Walmart for normie stuff and stop to look for some HK sling hooks.
I walk into a gun stores and start looking around, see two young black males both ( ages 21-25) wearing very urban clothes, one with bright red Nike sneakers, and designer jeans and flare red baseball cap. Other guy with white Jordan sneakers and also dark hoody, designer jeans and blue baseball cap. Both guys are trying to buy AR 15's, and ammo with a few mags. They are paying in cash. Everyone is cool in the store and a cop walks in at the same time I get there. He is off to the side looking at reloading stuff and materials.
I start hearing things, from the cashier and two gentleman.
(Guy two) I don't have an ID but I have no record.
Cashier: We can't sell to you with no ID man, it's law.
(Guy one) I'll buy both guns.
Cashier: I can't read this ID number man? I can't see the last digits on it the plastic is scratched and eroded.
(Guy one) I can tell you the number.
Cashier: We can't run it like that, it needs to be an updated and working ID / license.
(Guy one) Yeah it is old and expired bro, it got worn out my bad.
Cashier: I don't think we can use this ID to sell these guns, I think you need a new ID that isn't expired. You can get one from the DMV.
(Guy two) Yo man can't you buy this for us, and we'll pay you extra? (Talking to gun store Cashier.)
(literally everyone in the room is like WTF. Even the cop is like wtf did I just hear.)
The cashier says
"Whoa no guys we cannot do that, that would be a federal crime and a straw-man purchase."
"As much as I want to sell these guns and make a commission, I do not want to go to federal prison man. The ATF would shut this place down."
Both guys leave, saying they will get the new ID and ask gun store cashier to hold both rifles if they can.
Both guys walking leaving..... going towards and through nice neighborhoods and the direction of an area called the "Hill" part of town with high crime rate and crack is sold. Apparently they were going to buy both guns and walk home with them in cardboard boxes carrying the ammo and mags in pants.
I see the direction they are walking because I leave after them. No one else in store knew they walked their.
As soon as they leave, no one is making racist jokes or shit. Cop is still looking kinda like wtf. The guys working there start making jokes about what they would do, if the ATF put them in prison. No one was racist, and the guys were not aggressive but seemed really nervous and shady.
what the fuck man.
I am not saying they had bad intentions but I am saying people know something is going to happen.
They could have just had the intentions of defending their homes when SHTF, or they could be soros sleeper BLM agents ready for the rioting.
So if BLM is being urged to commit violent acts and civil war because of Emperor Trump, also because Gorge Soros and Illuminati.
Did I just witness two prepping BLM guys getting ready for their purging and rioting? damn son.
Illuminati confirm.
>>29341240
>"As much as I want to sell these guns and make a commission, I do not want to go to federal prison man. The ATF would shut this place down."
because that didn't happen, I doubt the rest of your story happened.
Trump, you posting fictitious stories on /k/ again?
Do you think that if the NFA hadn't been passed, cartridges over .50 caliber would be more developed and popular?
Take a look at how prevalent and widespread the .50bmg is outside of the roll of anti-material weapon. Look at how many guns are chambered in it right now.
Currently they're unrestricted, and the market is still super niche. What makes you think an even bigger and more expensive cartridge would have even more success?
>>29340610
No.
Anyone that can afford to shoot at >$5 a trigger squeeze. Isn't going to be bothered by the NFA forms and money.
>>29340651
>>29340652
What about >.50 pistol calibers? Like. 51 AE instead of .50 AE
