How does /k/ deal with mice?

Discovered that I have one of them in my loft and there's probably a better option than a regular mouse trap with cheese on it.

Peanut butter. It works much better than cheese cause it sticks to the trigger.
Also it is never one mouse so set like 3 traps.

Would you rather be in the muddy, cold trenches of the First World War or be in the muddy hot jungle of Nam?

>>29319562
The 'nam of course, what kind of question is that?
You serve your 12 months and go back home, if you are not black or retarded you can spend these 12 months fucking hookers far away from the jungle. In WW1 you get sent to the front over and over again until you die/get crippled/war ends.
Also gas attacks, rats, stone age-tier medical service etc.

Nam.
At least I get to ride in a chopper.
>>
>>29319562
I have an above average IQ and blue eyes, so NAM. I will spend the entire deployment in a public affairs office or a supply room in Saigon, getting blow jobs from QT Asian loli.

Fav film/TV depiction Punisher '04, Warzone, or Daredevil Season 2?
I haven't seen daredevil yet but I love Ray Stevenson's portrayal
>>
>>29319478
Punisher '04 was the best film of the bunch, just due to how entertaining it was-- plenty of respect for Thomas Jane, but it just didn't FEEL like the Punisher to me. It was more like a weird cross between Death Wish and Evil Dead 2.

Ray Stevenson's take on Frank was spot on. He fucking nailed it, but unfortunately the script, the direction, the rest of the acting, just about everything else with the movie was terrible. Making it properly R-rated was the right choice, and it had a few great moments ("GOD DAMMIT CASTLE!"), but the movie was a real letdown over all. It's unfortunate that Ray doesn't get the respect he deserves for that role, because he really was the right actor for the job all along.

I'm only halfway through season 2 of DD, and I've gotta say Jon Bernthal's doing a bang up job. He's definitely showing a different take on the character, he doesn't act or sound quite like I'd expect Frank Castle would--he's just starting out, he's more vulnerable, more emotional, not entirely as far gone as we usually see him. I'm hoping the second half of the season lets him really tear loose, since DD's been pretty much cock blocking him the whole time, and relatively few people have gotten blown away on screen so far. It's different, but it's still good. If Jon got to play him in a spinoff or a new Punisher flick that keeps up DD's standards of writing but with the violence level of Warzone, it would be outfuckingstanding.

What kind of zombies?
>>
>>29318124
For melee? Pry bar and a good knife.

Ranged? 5.56mm would work fine, though I think one of the zombie survival guides suggests .22 because it's cheap, common(or was when they first wrote it) and is enough to put one down, but personally I'd want something that works on humans since, if The Walking Dead has taught me anything, I'll spend more time worrying about humans than zombies.

Yes. Have had one for 6 years, used it in the army because my country`s issue vest was shit at that time. It is everything you want in a combat vest.

M83 Chest rig is a really good alround rig, can fit a bunch of different magazines, everything is basic and simple.
Some people complain about the mag pouches only having velcro, but if you want buckles or something just sew them on.

/k/, I'm looking for a starter gun that tries to be cheap but durable, and fires the cheapest possible ammunition.

I intend to practice a lot, because otherwise why bother having a gun? So I figure ammo's gonna be my main cost. But I'm having a hard time figuring out which gun offers the best combination of price, durability, and cheap ammo.

Please help!

Marge did keep the gun at the end, and used it when Snake broke in to the house.

How useful are these things for pre-emptive strikes on nuclear forces?

If the US wanted to hit all the Pakistani launchers and stockpiles before the pakis can launch them, would they be able to do it with a synchronised B2 strike?

I have a question /k/.

How important is actual combat experience to an army?

Does it make them, all other things roughly being equal, significantly more effective than an army that hasn't had real combat experience in a long time?

What sort of things do they learn as a result of being in combat that you can't learn from war games? What did the Russian Army learn from its war in Georgia for example?

How big of an advantage would it be to the US that the US military has been fighting wars for decades if it fought an army like the PLA, that hasn't fought a real war in decades?

>>29316608
Generals with experience > Generals with none/limited
Equipment that's been tried and confirmed on the field and in battle > Equipment that has just gone through testing and whatever

Simple as that anon.
>>
>>29316608
Nobody knows how well something works for real until it starts flinging live ammo at something that's flinging live ammo back.

that's the case be it planes, tanks, equipment, doctrine, training program, or the quality of your officers/NCOs.
>>
You don't necessarily need experience
However experience teaches you what works from what doesn't
Proper doctrine, tactics, training & good equipment will trump an experienced army any day.

>>29316822
>>29316710
Practical testing & large scale exercises can be done
It's just usually not common because there are bureaucratic incentives of not "rocking the boat".

I hope this is /k/ related enough, and I don't think I'm breaking any rules.

A friend of mine said he'd make a Mauser 98k (any WWII rifle really, but I like the 98k) if I got him prints for one, I'd just need to pay him $200. So I'm looking for blueprints/ schematics of the Mauser 98, do they exist? If so where to find them?
As far as I know this is legal btw, but I'm not fully versed in gun laws, so I may be wrong. Any help is fully appreciated.

Maybe find a armour's guide and see what that has for measurements.
>>
>>29315900
How the fuck is he going to make one without the immense amount of specific machinery required to build the various steel parts/action of the mauser rifle.

How will he BUILD a barrel?

Will he form the springs himself?
>>
You just can't make it an sbr or sawed off, or fully automatic without a manufacturers lisence or a $200 tax stamp for each NFA registered item.

What's the worst recoiling gun you've fired /k/? In terms of felt recoil.

Mine: 3" sabot slugs fired from a remshit 870
or s&w model 29 4" barrel with hand loads so hot they cracked the brass. Neither were really that bad though.
40 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
A 686 with 158 .357 grain in it.

Not too bad, but it was loud as fucking hell compared to anything else.

It's hard to explain, because the recoil wasn't exactly "worse" than the .357, but 9x18 blowback guns really "snap" a lot worse, and beat the FUCK out of my hand webbing. PA63 was the worst for this with the single stack; the cz82 not so much.
>>
>>29315255
Wait are you complaining about 9mm recoil?
