SP2022
F-16 vs F-15 in aerial dogfight...which would win ?
>>29817188
F-15
Probably the F-15
The F-16 was a low-cost alternative to it to begin with, and F-16 squadrons are reverting to F-15's as the USAF gets smaller.
F-16 is less heavier...so that's mean more maneuverability than F-15 ?
Well, /k/ after getting out after my 4 years and lurking I finally said fuck it and decided to get a gun.... A SIG P320 Full, in .45.
It's my first weapon, and I wanted something ultimately reliable since I want to be safe depending on what neighborhood my girlfriend and I move to, as well as simple range time for the sake of it.
I wouldn't mind getting into some extra classes and such but as for me, all I have is basic handling and shooting (Since if any of you been in Navy basic know, its not much) so I was wondering what advice/tips on handling, cleaning and just general care besides the obvious such as keeping it clean and well maintained after a day of shooting.
Also, general discussion.
>>29816955
>.45
May I ask why?
>>29816955
4 years to make a fucking decision?
>Alpha
>Beta
Nope OP is a lambda
>>29816955
good quality gun. It'll go boom reliably for years to come.
What's your opinions on the FN SCAR (light and heavy)? I shot a 16s awhile ago and it was crazy accurate and it felt nice.
Bump. I've always admired the rifle.
>>29816918
Felt like a gucci AR-10. Pretty good but not 2.5 stacks good. Nothing wrong with it though.
>>29816918
The scar 20, cz bren 805 and the radon rifle are what I'd spend my inheritance on if given the chance
What's stopping some manufacturer from making an M16A1 clone? The look is very iconic and they're pretty sought after, I would assume many people would want one that doesn't break the bank.
>>29816852
All the major aluminum forges are busy making A2 spec lowers for cheapshit carbines and uppers with carry handles are at a higher premium for this very reason too.
Everything production wise about the ar15 is about outsourcing and cost cutting.
Making new a1's is neither unless you use existing kits which are very scarse.
>>29816852
>What's stopping some manufacturer from making an M16A1 clone?
Nobody gives a shit except for nodak spud. Now fuck off and stop being a faggot.
>>29816852
Because there aren't enough people that want one to justify the cost to anyone but boutique operations that sell in small numbers to collectors and people that like to be jerked off over the internet about their hipster build.
They could be cheaper than a rifle with a modern spec lower and flattop upper and I still wouldn't buy one. If you want something exotic, get a transferable. Then you'll have something that's actually unique.
I just opened up my latest order from PSA, and I noticed that about 6 boxes of ammo had fucking water in them. The cardboard was so waterlogged that it fell apart, and there are literally water droplets on the cartridges.
The outside of the shipping box had no signs of water damage, and I didn't notice the wetness until I opened up the saran wrap holding each "bundle" of ammo together. All the boxes of ammo were wrapped in saran wrap to protect them from the outside elements, so this must have happened before leaving the factory.
On a side note, I ordered 1000 rounds and they didn't send everything together in a case, instead sending the individual boxes, many of which broke apart in transit, since they added zero packing peanuts or paper or anything to the box to protect shit from rattling around inside.
What the fuck, PSA.
Has anybody had any similar experiences from this company? How suspect is this ammo? It's been sitting in moist boxes for at least a week, maybe more, if the factory workers packed everything up when the stock first came in.
This is how it was wrapped up, with 6 boxes to a bundle, and moisture in all of them.
>Call PSA and complain to the people that can do something about it
>Cry to /k/ because I need attention
The choice is yours.
Absolutely no water damage to the shipping box.

See this? This is what your donations buys you.
You think they are protecting the second amendment? You just paid for the NRA to fund political advertisements.
This argument is the weakest argument we, as supporters of the second amendment, could ever make.
How the fuck will this win anyone over to our side? This advertisement only appeals to people who already love guns.
To anyone else, this just makes us look ridiculous! It makes gun culture look like babies crying over spilled milk.
Our money should have paid for a YouTube ad campaign to educate people, statistics are on our side.
But, you know, that would actually work, and that's not what anyone with money wants.
Wake the fuck up, the NRA is a cancer killing our national gun culture.
Note: for those unaware, this is a paid YouTube advertisement in North America.
Two dislikes for each like.
Your donation has paid to make twice as many people turn against our agenda.
>>29816731
The only reason I like the NRA is not as a political organization, and as a group that organizes shooting competitions. In my area, there's really no one else who does that.
Which is the bigger meme? Why?
The microtech mostly because the little jackommando is even more useless than the full sized one
>>29816674
Microtech, you can actually use the Cold Steel
Make way for a true meme.
We've had some /k/ommando[s?] starting threads like:
>where can i buy a destroyer
>how much does a battleship cost
>what would you do with an aircraft carrier
Well, fuck all those expensive choices; let's go with something much cheaper & far classier:
>a square-rigged, first-rate, sailing ship-of-the-line
>(pic is of a 2nd rate)
Think about it: we can buy one from an owner no longer willing to put the money into costly maritime wood maintenance etc, or, better yet, we buy timbered land and log it all for wood to build a new one; there's a practically limitless pool of skilled & trainable labor available through the miracle of the internet, and we can /k/rew it ourselves....
>itt: /k/ discusses ownership of a big old sailing ship outfitted with like a hundred cannon
>>29816523
could we replace the old cannon with modernized weapons?
A broadside with RPGs in place of cannonballs would be a nice way to greet pirates
>>29817009
40mm BOFORS would be a better replacement I think. Adding an engine would also be a good idea, as the capability to ignore the wind would be quite beneficial.
>>29817009
RPG damaging a ship made from thick as fuck wood kek. I bet you are next gonna say they should turn it into living quarters for syrian refugees.
There is literally nothing wrong with using .22 for home defense
>>29816428
I mean, I guess making him laugh himself to death could work...
>>29816428
I agree, it's not loud so it won't cause too much of a disturbance, and a few shots will neutralize a threat
>>29816428
I agree
Why the fuck is this so hard to open?
>>29816350
It shouldnt be, are you using your hands?
>>29816350
It's childproof.
Are you a child, OP?
>>29816350
You must first gain it's trust. It will not open for any random person anon, you must live with it and teach it that you care about it. Show it some love and it will love you back.
my store is selling them for $55+9.6% sale tax.
That's not a bad price, cheaper probably than buying online and paying shipping+ffl. I bought 6 for $40 online, $20 to ship, then $70 for the transfer fee ($20 for first, $10 for each one after).
Came out to like $56 a lower.
I built one just fine, biggest complaint is the massive rollmark, the fire/safe is written in a childishly large size, and the finish isnt a smooth abodized black, its a rougher dark grey and doesnt match any of my uppers.
However, functionally they are perfect and I had no trouble building mine
there not bad. i just finished a lower build with one. no issues
>>29816269
>doesn't even have the 4th hole
They dun fucked up, that's why they're so cheap.
Would the British Army grant me "operator" status?
I just want to learn how to shoot weapons, fight, live off the land, evade people hunting me, get fit, learn hand to hand combat, become extremely mentally tough and be an all-round operator.
>I just want to learn how to shoot weapons, fight, live off the land, evade people hunting me, get fit, learn hand to hand combat, become extremely mentally tough and be an all-round operator.
Well I'll tell you right now OP you're in the wrong place
>guard didn't say "for you"
>>29816202
there are certainly oppurtunities to do all that in both the army and the royal marines. whether or not you are capable of exploiting those oppurtunities is another matter. you won't know until you try so go and talk to a recruiter.
you're looking at infantry, from which you're either going into recce or sf. i hope you're fit and like carrying a pack all damned day.
Why didn't you join the Cavalry, /k/?
What's wrong with you, not wanting to be apart of the greatest branch of any army this world has given host to?
>>29816188
>$23 per month!
Is that a lot or naw? I spend more on dinner in a single day.
>>29816547
Inflation puts it at about $35 a day, back then they had much less things to buy though.
>>29816547
Inflation....
637 and change, roughly. Back then 5 dollars for a 60 hour week was pretty common.
What are you reading? Show me your /k/lit/.
Rainbow Six. Too lazy to take a pic.
Just take your bump and go.
