Get some more Gustav
Sup /k/, i was bored and searched for weapons made in Mexico, they are mostly shitty rip-offs of much better weapons, for example, for me this gun (their god-tier rifle) looks like the aborted fetus of a G36 and a SCAR
They literally almost got sued by HK
Here's the link

>>29821035
yep that is what it is a shitty g36 copy
>>29821035
>for me this gun (their god-tier rifle) looks like the aborted fetus of a G36
HK was about to sue them for stealing the G36C's design but the Mexicans insisted it was a completely different design. They flew in an engineer from HK to Mexico and turns out they weren't lying.
p neat
Anyone know if I could legally carry something that can be used as a weapon such as a small lead pipe in Australia, specifically New South Wales?
Any ideas for "legal" weapons I can carry?

Steel toed boots?
A knife on your belt, I live on the gold coast , knife isn't hidden, I've never been hastled in public
Guys,
This is my first time posting about guns, I usually post about ham radio when I can and if theres a discussion going.
I'm really into history (I even made the mistake of making it one of my degrees in college), but I've never owned guns. I'd like to procure a Civil or Revolutionary war-era barrel-loading weapon. My price is $750 or less, if I have to fix it up I'm just fine with that because it'll let me learn more about the weapon.
Any ideas where I can find one? Anyone have any experiences or stories with these I might want to know?
Pic related, a Springfield 1863, standard issue to the Union Army during the Civil War.
>>29820785
buy a cheap BP .50 rifle, and see how you like how it functions, then, after you see how shit it is, get a real smokeless powder gun.
dont bother trying to 'fix up' civil war era guns, the repro's are shit, and anything you do happen to find that is affordable, doesnt have the parts available to fix, let alone even be able to fire safely.
you want a old-school fun rifle? get a Marlin 60A .22lr from the 70s or 80s, before they came with a gold trigger. Another nice starter gun is a 20ga pump, you can shoot that shit all day and not get a sore shoulder.
Or if you want creme de la creme, get a new benelli nova in 12ga (non-tacticool, no ghostring sights) and a tube extender. Should be about $350 OTD
>>29820785
>original civil war rifled musket
>under 750 dollarydoos
A. blackpowder is annoying to shoot unless you already know you enjoy it
B. don't destroy an antique fucking faggot. did they teach you nothing?
C. double your money and you can buy a high quality reproduction that I'd be mad jelly of

>wanting the boring ones
>not looking for a wallhanger spencer rifle
>not looking into getting a Henry Rifle
>not getting a springfield trapdoor
>not buying a revolver rifle
slightly related I really wish Uberti made a remington revolver rifle with the original 35" barrel. Also that I still owned pic related.
get a uberti or pietta 1858 revolver if you want something civil war esque on your wall. Best revolver design ever.
>>29820839
>"I want bp"
>recommends shit poorfag starter guns
marlin a shit. 10-22 best girl
Thinking of getting this in 9mm or .45, anyone tried it out and can explain why it isnt the best ammo ever invented?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr6h44Pu4sM
>no recoil
>penetrates body armor
>excellent fragmentation
>accurate
>clean
>stops inside it's target
Is there anything wrong with this ammo?
>>29820930
Doesn't have a proven track record like gold dots or hsts.
Are you planning on shooting people with body armor?
>>29820979
No but if it doesn't over penetrate and it has lower recoil plus it would go through hypothetical body armor it seems absolutely perfect.
Its not even expensive
What AK-47s would you guys recommend? Polymer furniture is preferred but not necessary. Hoping to pay less than $750.
Looking at the M70s particularly. I know enough to stay away from I.O.
>>29820729
WASR 10
>>29820729
Stay away from SerbShit.
WASR or Arsenal. There is no middle-ground.
>>29820729
>What AK-47s would you guys recommend?
Polytech legend
>the best round for concealed carry is the one YOU feel most comfortable shooting with. As long as you can reliably hit the offenders center off mass, then getting shot is getting shot which is bad no matter what caliber is used. This renders the 9mm vs. .45 argument moot.
>>29820626
So you're saying I can carry some thing that is a 22 short?
>>29820626
It's true most of the time though. Not many people are dedicated enough to keep coming for you after getting hit with even .32. If you got caught fucking a crackhead's wife, then maybe dial it up a notch.
9mm vs .45 is very nearly moot for all contexts except actual warzone combat.
>a 10mm is basically a .44mag
>Everyone flips out over these
Why?
They're fucking good, that's why.
>>29820625
Come on man. Even pogs got enough sense to know charms are bad luck
>>29821757
Get that shit out of my humvee.
So I'm looking at selling my Mauser (3rd from top, the one with the scope and recoil pad) for $350. It's my "long range" rifle, and If I sell I'll be looking for something to replace that role.
Question is; What gun should I get to fill that role? Ideally at or under $350, and something I'd be able to pick up locally.
>>29820605
Don't sell it, fuckstick
You WILL regret it
You will NOT find something better for that price
>>29820628
>>29820629
As much as I'd love to keep it, 8mm Mauser is pretty much the same if not harder to get compared to .30-06, and if I get a rifle in .30-06 I'll have ammo commonality with my 03A3 and the Garand I'll be getting soon
Is there something fundamentally wrong with new rifles?
I don't give a shit about your Mauser sale, but you have a nice ass collection. Wood furniture is my fetish
So far I have a

I'm thinking of getting a Glock 29, and was wondering about aftermarket parts
I've often read that Glocks have the widest range of choice regarding aftermarket parts, but what should be replaced? The spring, the barrel, the sights, what else? What brands would you guys reccomend?
Also, I've only ever owned slavshit and never modified them in any way. Can I fit sights and such myself, or do I need to take it to a gunsmith?
>>29820303
>what should be replaced?
Eh, nothing. If you're buying a Glock, it's because you want a simple and relatively cheap firearm. It'll work as is. There's no need to throw money at it otherwise.
>>29820340
That's what I thought at first, but if it can be improved even in small ways, I'm willing to invest a bit of extra money into it.
For the most part I've mostly seen reccomendations to replace the factory sights.
>>29820303
>>29820340
10mm is kinda a different beast, especially if you want to shoot hardcast lead rounds.
I have a KKM barrel in my G29 to shoot hardcast lead rounds (do not shoot lead rounds out of a factory glock polygonal rifle barrel). I also have a 21 lbs Wolff recoil spring to handle the super hot Underwood 10mm. Finally, trijicon HD night sights are a vast improvement over the stock plastic sights. I don't have a sight tool so I had them installed by my local glock armorer.
Whatever happened to these guys? I legitimately enjoyed some of their training videos and i actually found them informative if even at times a bit tacticool look at me but overall leagues ahead of douche channels like Yeager.
Everyone got nervous watching a nigger with a gun

LMFAO keep telling yourself that limeys here's a hint: you don't get to define what "super carriers" are. America does. Tell me about the QEs nuclear reactor O WAIT it doesn't have one does it?
What a piece of shit. What an irrelevant country.
You're weak. You exist at the pleasure of the USA. You know it. Everybody knows it.

Not that I disagree, but epic bait
Long time lurker here. Recently had my home broken into and robbed by 3 Latino meth-head teenagers (Southern California, if you couldn't guess). I've decided that maybe now is about time I get a gun for home defense. In the next couple of days I'll be visiting gun shops around the area to get a shotgun. Now I just need to decide on which one to get.
From my time here I've gathered that the most reliable shotgun is probably the Ithaca 37, and its probably what I'll be looking for first and foremost in the coming days. Are there any objections to this?
Bump for lack of reply.
>>29820130
In cali?
They care more about the criminals than you. Your best option for home defence is to move, buddy.
>>29820130
The Ithaca 37 is one of the fucking best shot guns ever made. You cant go wrong. Good choice
