>tfw related to the worst union general of the civil war
why should I even live
>>29810403
>We will never have another general as based as Sherman.
Why live?
Is it weird to sleep with a handgun?
I don't have PTSD I just like to feel safe.
>>29810339
>I don't have PTSD I just like to feel safe.
So its like sleeping with a teddy bear.
>>29810339
If you can fit your dick into the barrel, i guess you might as well.

>>29810339
Whatever helps ya sleep at night.
So, just watched season one of Okkupert.
Russians with the political support of the EU do a soft occupation of Norway, which turns violent.
The US has abandoned NATO and gone full isolationist, so Norway is all alone against Russia.
I thought it was going to be shit, but it was pretty damn great. And way more realistic than a lot of other "resistance fantasy" flicks.
>>29810308
Thanks for the tip. If I can find it, i'll definitely watch it.
>>29810469
I think Netflix has it in a lot of countries. Not sure about the US.
Just don't expect "Red Dawn; Europe edition". It's more of a political thriller than an action series.
Is this the one where a Scandinavian guy goes to smoke behind the restaurant his wife owns, starts up a conversation with a Russian who is also smoking, and the Russian thinks the Scandinavian guy is a spy?
I think I've seen like 15 minutes of this.
Are 2 or 3 gun competitions legal in Australia?
>>29810211
No I take it.
>>29810211
What eo you mean 2 or 3?
I've seen the SSAA guys do combo lever and revolver comps
>>29810320
3 gun is Rifle,Shotgun and Handgun
2 gun is Rifle/Shotgun and Handgun
>92 on ASVAB
>still picked infantry
JUST
whohere /wrongMOS/?
>did good in college
>didn't feel like it's right for me
>joined the army as enlisted
>they told me I could be an officer
>didn't listen
>>29810120
You poor, dumb bastard
ASVAB is like a test for kintergardners
None of the jobs really correlate with ASVAB scores. I met some of the dumbest motherfuckers in my 68W and now 68C (formerly M6 ASI) and it requires a "high" GT of 109
My WLC instructors were infantry, and some of the smartest guys I've ever met.
I guess none of this will make sense to OP yet
OP you didn't fuck up infantry or medic is the only thing worth doing if you're going to enlist desu

They might be practicing flight routes and comms. It's perfectly reasonable to train someone like this before you start spending so much money on the real deal.
At armor school at fort benning I learned how to maneuver with tanks and position yourself respective with the other tanks in your platoon by walking around in a box with the top and bottom cut off 3 other dudes
Statistics wise, what plane has been used more often in the CAS role, especially now with Coalition air support dealing with ISIS? I can't be the A-10 every time.
>>29809946
I think in desert storm and IOF/IAF it was the B1 and the f-16 respectively.
It was never the a10
>>29809946
The US has been supposedly bombing ISIS for over a year now.
Yet ISIS still exists.
Despite alleged non-stop bombing from a dozen different countries.
Hmmmmmm........
>>29809953
IOF/IAF ?
don't you mean OIF and OEF?
>>29809946
Used more often?
Probably F-16 initially
As far as most effective, Apache helicopter and A-10 by far.
Does an observation/scout Helicopter do anything besides get blown up?
Also why do anti-submarine Helicopters exist? Do they actually work?
Feels like leftover roles from the 80s.
How does this thing act as an anti-submarine tool?
Yes
They exist because jobs
>>29809861
Okay, because for the life of me I can't imagine any of this shit being useful in a real war. Especially cost wise compared to other options.
Beretta 92a1, any problems? I'm considering getting one and would like to ask /k/
For what? Range gun?
Go to side-arm, range fun
>>29809811
Nothing to complain about here. I use mine as my regular CC.
What does /k/ think would cause another civil war? Not necessarily north against south but perhaps a revolution. Who or what would you support? What would push you to fight? What would the aftermath of a successful or unsuccessful uprising be?
Slavery again, but this time for intelligent robots.
>>29809818
>implying slavery caused the war
libcuck get out
>>29809847
you're right
it was about states rights to keep slavery legal.
/BGT ballistol general thread.
Whats that smell Edition.
Why is the best gun oil/cleaner ballistol and why does it smell like dead animals.
>>29809732
ballistol is the best clp, i'm glad to see someone else shares my opinion
>>29809732
>Paying money for literal canned mineral oil and alcohol.
http://www.ballistol.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/MSDS_TECH_BIO.pdf
I also use ballistol. I've tried a lot of different products and in my opinion it works best. I think smells kinda like black licorice.
Hoppes 9 is still king when it comes to smell though.
Why did the USAF go from being dominated by bombers to being dominated by fighters?
Believe it or not, there was once a time when there were more B-52's than fighters. Fighters (or interceptors as they were called back then) were seen as a purely defensive measure. It was assumed that bombers would be doing all the real work and the fighters would just be something like a goal-keeper for protecting the homeland.
What happened?
>>29809574
LeMay called it quits, ICBM's became the new hotness, and the hippies ruined everything and made being a bomber pilot uncool.
SALT treaties because "muh nukes" ,the end of the Cold War and "this is totally not a bomber guize" bombers like this thing
>>29809574
>Believe it or not, there was once a time when there were more B-52's than fighters. Fighters (or interceptors as they were called back then)
kek.
>tfw you go to the range and one of the guys there walks up to admire and chat about your gun
>>29809509
>do this and get to shoot nice guns you're on the fence on buying
>>29809509
>be at range
>shooting with buddy, he's firing an old police issue .38 revolver
>next lane over is a qt and a guy
>tacticool oper8or, obviously trying to impress her with his knowledge and shiny AR
>tells her to stand left foot forward, right foot back, lean into rifle
>stops dead and looks at us as buddy starts blasting
>"Is that a .357?"
>uh, what?
>beelines over, starts sperging out over buddys pistol
>look over at qt, she's picked up rifle and is standing like her told her
>whatthefuck.jpg
>she's left handed, so her torso is completely twisted around in the most uncomfortable position you could imagine
>sperg is now shooting revolver, still spilling spaghetti everywhere
>lady fires 6 rounds, squints, then fiddles with target return
>go over and show her how to bring it back in
>didn't even hit the paper
>looks highly annoyed
>offer to give her some pointers, show her how she should stand as a left handed shooter
>sperg STILL sperging for some bizarre reason
>"Your boyfriend really likes revolvers huh?
> says"Hesnotmynoyfriend" lightning quick
>signalrecieved.jpg
>she fires, hits target, show her how to walk rounds in and aim properly
>gets really excited, blows through whole mag, puts rifle down
>chat her up for a few minutes at bench, apparently this is their second, and last, date
>get her number
>sperg realizes I've been macking on his girl
>stomps over to his lane packs up his rifle, stomps over to us
>forced smile, "You ready to go?"
>"Yeah, nice meeting to you anon call me"
>sperg looks at me like he's about to fucking cry
>"T-tell your buddy I said thanks again for letting me shoot his gun"
>walks out with his head down
>feel a little bad
And that's the story of how I met my wife. She actually likes shooting, just doesn't like being ignored.
>>29810075
HAHAHAHA!
This is the best story ever!!
Hey /k/ommandos, I need suggestions for a bug out bag I'm assembling for my wife. She's 5'6, 130lb. I've got everything from a-z, except rifle. I'm currently looking at Henry Arm's take on the AR-7 Survival rifle.
Any other ideas? Remember : Light, Reliable, Easy to Use/Maintain/Disassemble/Stow and Carry.
Thanks in advance.
(pic related, fully disassembled AR-7)
>>29809507
From what I've read, you'd be better off with a Ruger 10/22 takedown. Supposedly the new AR-7's are complete trash and even the older ones (which are supposedly 'okay') are inferior to the Ruger 10/20 takedown.
I had toyed with the idea of getting an AR-7 a while ago, but I ended up with the takedown. I'm satisfied with my decision.
>>29809507
I have an AR 7 (the Henry survival one) and it's a piece of shit. Won't eject a round. 2 gun smiths later, no answers. Still will not eject every 2nd or 3rd round. Get something else. My neos works every time, even with shit ammo
>>29809529
>>29809577
Fuck. Honestly I was about to order one, the whole "super light and super stow able" aspect is pretty fucking hypnotizing. Ruger 10/22 looks pretty promising, but I hate the stock stock, but it looks like there are tonnes of different non oem stocks.
This is why you don't use undersized bullets. They produce violent but shallow wound channels.
The test was with .22-250, which is considerably faster than .223. If .22-350 can't break that egg, .223 with the same bullet can't either.

>>29809435
>varmint bullet
>going 500+fps faster than if it were loaded in .223
>being surprised it has a shallow wound channel
Yeah you're a retard.
>>29809435
good to hear, I was worried about my eggs that are 2 feet deep in my flesh
>>29809455
The fact that it's going faster should cause MORE damage, not less.
