Good morning /k/,
I was just offered an internship at SIG Sauer for Testing and Evaluation of new models. I'm an engineering major and I'm looking to get into defense engineering after I graduate.
My problem is: I have little experience shooting. I'm going to start practicing asap but I was wondering if you guys had any advice
>>29824211
Get an experienced (preferably good and trained) shooter to train you. See if someone offers it in your area. It's well worth it, considering it'll save you from rookie mistakes and getting stuck with them.
>>29824211
If you're serious, buy a 1911, a Glock 19, and three different Sig handguns, put 500 rounds through each.
Then start studying them. I don't think they will respect someone who isn't familiar with the firearms.
>>29824231
also do this so you don't hurt yourself or anyone else

Can love bloom on the battlefield?
By far the stupidest thread delete this shit
>>29824038
Yes, war is filled with all kinds of faggotry. Including the literal kind.
is rape considered love?
Can anyone identify the camo pattern on this jacket my uncle gave me, I originally assumed it was a British jacket but I could be wrong
>>29823992
British DPM not sure if it's 95 or 58 though.
>>29824034
Actually yeah I'm gonna swing with the 95 pattern.
Buttons on the front and shade of the camo say it's a Pattern 85 combat jacket to me
What is your favorite knife metal? Would it be good for EDC?
>440C masterrace here
>easy to sharpen (but kinda easy to dull)
>Doesn't rust as easy
>Cheap as fuark
Anyone like D2 tool steel?
CTSXHP
>>29824946
I have one for a Benchmade butterfly knife
Yeah yeah mall ninja etc
It's still sharp after a lot of abuse and just about indestructible

>>29823841
>unleash first wave of dogs and babies in tacticribs
>ATF empties their mags into the dogs and throw every flashbang grenades at the tacticribs.
>the casualties are high but I expected this.
>my body is ready.
>I come out with glocknades and yell Allah akbar
>blow the house up with no survivors
>Satan brofist me for a job well done while we fuck demon bitches.

Put my dog in the basement,
Cover the living room floor in shoe strings
put up posters of conversations i've had with friends on facebook that look slightly incriminating in regards to me making an SBR.
Those 3 things should buy me enough time to run outside, grab sks and go innawoods
Bury my hard drive so they don't seize my dank ass /k/ memes
Why did simple non explosive traps go out of style?
Do they even teach them any more?
Because mildly annoying someone isn't the same as blowing them up with twenty kilos of HME
>>29823733
>punji sticks are mildly annoying
>>29823726
Because modern militaries aren't guerillas fighting insurgencies.
What's the most overloaded and bulky "Future Soldier" project in the world?
For consideration, I present the Swiss Army's IMESS
>>29823519
>EOkek
Swiss Army has always been a little... special
>>29823527
You get that privilege when youre eternally undefeated

I was watching fear the walking dead, getting a chubby at the sight of Strands mp5.
And i started wondering.
What are the laws concerning guns on private boats.
Im not currently a boat owner (but i was).
And i just never took my gun with me.
Do any /k/omrades carry on their boats?
Also H&K long gun thread.
My favorite H&K rifle.
Which costs more than my last boat.
>>29823273
don't do it OP, let me tell you a story
>be me
>owned a small yaught
>worried about security, so I had some guns on board
>first day I took the boat out I hit some rough weather
>boat capsized
> lost all my guns
>it was tragic
Would you rather construct your secret headquarters on an oil rig or an aircraft carrier?
>>29823250
Oil rig desu
>ramp
>slavshit
>>29823250
>>29823258
>how do you want your secret base fham?
>just fuck my shit up
Hey /k/, I'm a newfag, and I was wondering about your suggestions for an ideal weapon for home defense. I live in an area with a lot of junkies and a high crime rate, but my current apartment is relatively secure. That said, better safe than sorry.
Pic unrelated.
I use an AR with a light on it.
But if you're worried about your stupid neighbors or whatever you could always get a pistol caliber pdw like a beretta or keltec

A reliable, high-capacity pistol in 9mm, .40, .357 Sig or .45
thread/
This is my first post on 4chan so I figured why not so yeah here's my extended clip revolver >inb4 gun safety
welcome to /k/
You look like a faggot but yeah welcome
>>29823148
What is trigger discipline
Bears. I want to not be eaten by them. I live in the PA area. What's a good woods gun for black... bears, mountain lions, and AT murderhobos?
AR15 in .50 Beowulf.
Mosin Nagant
>>29823067
>>29823070
Yeah generally you want to keep things light when you go in the woods, you Dorito crunchers. I'm looking for a pistol of some kind.
Is this at all feasible?
Essentially an AR-platform that you can build at home.
But big emphasis on Build At Home
I don't know much about making guns, but why aren't the exact same fire control groups used in every gun out there, and unless you're going for accuracy, why aren't blow backs used for reliability?
Can someone with firearm knowledge please explain this
>>29822907
A straight blowback with full sized cartridges sounds like a bad idea.
>>29822913
I'm just seeing a big hunk of metal wobbling back and forth, sounds like an ergonomacists nightmare, sure but what's wrong?
How many people here actually know enough about guns to talk about this subject in depth?
Why do wehraboos and popcult militaryfags in general jerk off to Erwin Rommel, but nobody gives much credence to the real Axis military genius, General Guderian
>go to wiki
>ctrl f
>type: defeat
>18 words found
yeah fucking "genius"
>>29822839
He was a good guy and theorical, but compared to Rommel, he ended not doing much in the war, as he was soon called out from command and become panzer inspector.
>>29822839
he was part of group that tried to kill hitler
so people try to glorify him as one of the good nazis
