Who wins?
1,000 soldiers with Sks
Vs
800 soldiers with AR 15's
For unknown reasons, the AR 15's only have 20 round magazines with them.
Terrain: Desert.
Literally pick your favorite.

The nugget.

AR's can engage at distance and carry more ammo.
Haven't seen this thread in a while but what does /k/ think of gas masks?
Are they pointless considering most chemical weapons can affect exposed skin as well?
What about for tear gas in a possible government takeourfuns scenario?
Not totally useless, but very situational and you probably won't get much use of it.
That said you will find a lot of /k/kommandos who own one because of cool factor/SHTF fantasies.
I did use one on my trip to Chernobyl though.
>>30182155
They're hot and uncomfortable especially with the rest of your MOPP gear on, even if you sit at a desk in a climate controlled room. Lord help you if you have to hustle in the sun and heat, you might be one of the several yearly casualties.
>>30182155
You just found out that your kid is destined to be the leader who has the save humanity from a robot uprising how do you teach him to be the ultimate badass?
>>30182049
Shoot him and so I don't have to deal with this bullshit in the future. Fuck that. There is not training I could give him that would make him into that great leader. Nopein out of that.
>>30182049
turn him into a masturbation/heroin addict
>>30182049
Nothing.
If he is destined, it clearly doesn't fuckimg matter what I do.
Sup /k/, is this dynamite or what? Found in my garage. My guess is it's 4 decades old at least.
>>30182045
Dumb fuck thats a roll of hash, just smoke it.
>>30182045
That's a dog bone.
what are some diy handgun kits? I'm just curious. Right now all I can think of just 1911 kits, and 3d printed polymer frames (pic related)
is there anything else?
>READ MANUAL BEFORE USE
nobody?
>>30182013
The Polymer80 Spectre.
Glock 17 parts are through the roof now though.

AR confessions: I actually like the aesthetics of non-shit tier quadrails

Why'd you decide to go with BCM marked upper receiver and BCG on that build?
My dad used too. not kidding.
I actually would. With carrying a surplus gun like the 1895, getting if taken after using it on someone to protect yourself wouldn't be much of loss. You can easily go get one for a couple hundred bucks.
I need to get one still.
I see them on gunbroker and armslist. yet they are never close enough for me to visually inspect before purchase.
I don't buy old firearms online uness from a reputable seller. All the big names in online gunsales have been out of Hand Nuggets for a while.
I'm a newfag to /k/ and normally only browse other boards, so sorry if thats one of these threads you have everyday.
So I keep hearing from family members and friends, who serve in the police and/or military that they have no real use anymore, also reading that in the internet, and that they are completely outclassed by short-barreled automatic rifles (except for sound-supressing).
What is /k/'s opinion about that?
>>30181828
free mp5 2016!!!
>>30181828
Yes, they are.
Some people will dispute that (some people will dispute anything) but that's generally the way it is. SBR's provide better range, better wound profiles, and parts and ammo commonality.
>>30181828
this is generally accurate, everything an SMG can do some variety of short barreled rifle can do better
How does camouflage science work? What do a group of intellects test and discuss when they get together and decide what certain pattern of colors and/or shapes camouflage you best in a given environment?
>>30181739
If it looks cool its good camo

>>30181739
>How does camouflage science work?
It doesn't.
>>30183657
it does but not if PEO soldier is in charge of practicing these sciences
Would you agree with this list?
>>30181734
>Italy #10
no.
>>30181734
How they calculate this shit is beyond me.
I would calculate based off of:
Size
Technology
Force Projection Capability
Senior NCO experience
Senior Officer Experience
For me that would make the list:
1) US
2) Russia
3) UK
4) France
5) Germany & Other NATO allies involved in ISAF
China has size. That's really it. It's tech is crap, it can't project force, I don't think even their oldest generals have combat experience at this point.

A British soldier fought in WW II with a longbow, bagpipes, and a broadsword!! ...Soldier 7
Lieutenant Colonel John Malcolm Thorpe Fleming Churchill, or more commonly known as “Fighting Jack” was a British soldier renowned for his outlandish battle techniques in World War II. Routinely called mad, Churchill would go into every battle with a Scottish broadsword slung across his back, bagpipes under his arms, a longbow, and a quiver with arrows.
Churchill joined the army relatively early in his life. He joined the Commandos because it “sounded dangerous,” unsure of what his duties would be. Churchill was put in charge of raiding several German garrisons and became famous for his strategies. While in Poland, Churchill would give the signal to attack by shooting at the enemy commander with his longbow. This marks him as the only known British soldier to have killed an enemy with a longbow throughout the entire war.
Churchill also became famous for his routine attack style while trying to capture different enemy territories. He would jump from his position while playing a tune on his bagpipes. As he did this he would throw a grenade and sprint into the midst of the fighting, attempting to fell as many men as possible with his broadsword!
/K/ this is either a tale or this guy has the biggest balls I have ever known.
FYI you will never kill Nazis with a broadsword and arrows

>use weaponry that is 150% outdated and inefficient compared to standard issue technology
>get a freak-kill with it that you could've achieved with any other firearm
>get applauded for it because "duuude such a bada$$"
yeah I'm sure he did a swell job at laying down suppressive fire with his bow to protect his fellow comrades while advancing towards the enemy
dude would've been fragged within days of pulling that shit in vietnam
>>30181475
More evidence Brits are the gods of war.
>>30181582
He did that and more, check his wiki out before you go armchair general on him you fat faggot.
So i'm barely 18 and fully leagle to buy a gun, only question is what shotgun do I get. I'm pretty much going to exclusively use it for trap and skeet and am looking to keep it in the cheaper side. Ive been told the 1187 is good some places and others I've been told they are terrible. But I digress. What is /k/'s thoughts on this? Any suggestions. And oh yea my only criteria are as follows
>12g
>under $800 preferably under $500
>semi or break action
>wood stock (my ma thinks all synthetic stock guns are evil baby killer weapons)
870 wingmaster
>>30181447
sorry, forgot to elaborate. i know you asked for a semi or break action, but i suggested the wingmaster because its an affordable and solid option, albeit in the pump variety. its also quite affordable at $500 give or take
>>30181440
I would suggest Something made by TriStar I love their shotguns, check out their website.
Does anyone use these here? thinking about getting one. Am I fucking up?
>>30181384
If you think starting with a 1050 is good than go for it. Keep in mind they don't have any of the Dillon lifetime warranty and you probably will fuck it up.
>>30181384
everyone seems to be a fan of whatever brand theyre using themselves. the negative to dillion it seems is the price.
>>30181384
ok guys, what should I get for a first time reloding kit?
I want to reload some pistl rounds, like 8mm Nambu and rifle rounds like .223 and .44-40
so i´ve set it down to 2 kits from LEE
> 4x Turret Auto-Index Deluxe
> 50th Anniversary Kit (Single Stage Press)
bet sets cost me around 200 buckerinous over here in europe
what would be a better kit to start with?
I really like the idea of the autoturret, big pluspoint for quickchange-die system
but, the auto index is faster compared to the single stage one
pls help

We do not need this every day.
Why does the finnish army use yellow silencers?
Not a silencer, it's a blank firing adapter for training exercises when you don't want to use live rounds and put holes in your buddy.
That's a blank firing adapter.
>>30181273
That's a compensator for simunition rounds. It's only a training thing.
