I was reading an article about some terrorist Delta captured and it mentioned that to keep a low profile, Delta, will embed itself with other units.
What exactly does that mean?
Do they embed with anybody or is it only infantry units? Anyone know or have any experience?
>>30633150
They may be super hero high speed action figures but when they're around here, they kick it in HQ. Drink coffee, eat Danish, warm their feet.
I'm joining SHIELD when I ETS.

Hey /k/ I have a question. I'm arguing with my father, and he believes that in the next year or two that drones will be able to identify a gun and fire based off its own decisions. I'm attempting to say that won't happen because the possibility of collateral damage would be extreme and the drone wouldn't be able to differentiate between shapes very well, it might mistake a pipe for a rifle something along those lines.
His argument is that cruise missiles are just launched from a ship and go blow up whatever they want, and that making a drone that shoots anyone with a gun isn't much harder.
>>30631443
Your dads retarded and you're <16
Does his uncle works at the DoD?
>>30631467
I'm 23.
>>30631479

How do you poor anons/anons that live in countries with retarded gun laws deal with this shit? I just want to go to the range and enjoy shooting a weapon, own a small collection of WW2 weaponry, and talk about it without looking like the guy that might snap at work and kill everyone
>>30631133
Where are you from?
>>30631143
fake Texas
>>30631133
i blow shit up with excessive amounts of explosives and wreck mudslime houses
Are explosive bullets useful? If no why no?
>>30630858
Have you ever seen a 30 caliber round? Even at its highest grain it's somewhere around the size of a gummy bear. At this time, we don't have an explosive that would be effective at that size.
I'd invent uses for them, so yes.
With less than a .50 or so you're not going to get much explosives into the bullet. Even the .50 is probably being pretty optimistic. So the bang won't do all that much. And on top of that you need to find space for the fuse. With both of those things compromising the design of the bullet as far as it's aimed at causing damage through its kinetic energy, so in the end you're probably doing less damage this way than with a conventional bullet. And in return you get somethign which is far more expensive, complex, and capable of failure.
I'm looking for a cheap hunting rifle, I have a thing for wood stocks but besides that my preference is just cheap. I've looked around some local gun shops and Cabela's used section, is there anything in particular I should look for?
>>30630337
Savage Axis and Mossberg Patriot are modern bolt action hunting rifles that retail for about $300 and are available in a variety of chamberings.
Please do not buy a Mosin Nagant, its a waste of money.
>>30630337
just get a sks
>>30630337
Levergun in 30-30
Why weren't the police able to kill the truck driver with their hand guns?
Would you be able to stop a truck with your everyday concealed carry?
>>30630228
Because they didnt want to and never intended to
>>30630245
They tried, I guess 9mm can't into trucks
Judging by the windshield, they were trying to get the passenger.

Last night I had a nightmare where I was driving down a highway and hundreds of flak guns were firing non-stop all around me. Aircraft were getting hit and they would fall down and hit the highway while me and the other drivers would try to dodge them. Helicopters, Fighter jets. Weird things that looked like obscure prototype aircraft. The last thing that I remember from the dream was a 747 getting its wings torn off and falling on the highway right in front of me.
The question is: could this really happen?
>>30629891
No. Most jets go over 500 mph. I'd like to see someone try to lead an aircraft that's literally a blur in the sky in order to hit it with exploding rounds that might not even reach the area around the damn aircraft in the first place.
There's a reason why you see missiles being used to take down jets now instead of AA guns.
Flak guns weren't even effective back then, especially if we're talking bombers. IIRC something like only 3% of allied planes downed were downed by flak.
I don't have an answer, but that's a pretty metal dream.
What was the throw weight of I-70?
Hey guys, noguns here, just wondering, if I saw a truck bearing down on a crowded street, and just happened to have a pig hunting rifle like a .303, what should I, noguns, aim for?
Lets say the guy was about 1/4 a mile away, doing 60 mph
>>30629648
The driver side windshield, just like the frogs did.
How was this a question that you needed to crowdsource?
Fuck i hate summer.
>>30629668
Ok, lets say I was on the passenger side
cheap guns, price range from $600 to lower.
>>30629613
Bushy complete lower, Stag upper. $580. But no BUIS or optics.
