As a polymer DA/SA pistol, what it should be is a competitor to the CZ P-07 and P-09, as well as the HK hammer-fired pistols like the USP, P2000, HK45 and P30. There really aren't a lot of entries in this category, and the Sig does a good job of being well designed, well made and affordable. What Sig decided to market it as, though, was a bargain alternative to the P226, which didn't work out very well.

In a close quarter fight, why doesn't the side with body armor basically wipe the floor? Although they don't protect everything, I would think it'd be enough to give the distinct advantage. Most people instinctively aim for center mass and given that Level III can withstand up to 7.62, is there any reason that for two equally trained sides, that the one with body armor shouldn't win? Assuming that the opposition would have no knowledge of the armor before hand and that none of the weapons have armor piercing capabilities.
Obviously, again, this wouldn't happen, just wondering why.

Body armor makes a big difference, but so does training.
We've got the best of both, thus our enemies cannot stand up and fight, therefore most of our casualties are bomb related.
Thing is though, body armor isn't 100% coverage, so while it might stop 30% of hits from counting, it mostly changes the fight by teaching users to be bigger risk takers because it principally protects you from wounds that would have been fatal.

depends on the caliber, 7.62x39 has alot of kenetic energy, if you took a hit from one at close range, the armor would stop the bullet, but the force of the bullet would knock you back, making it hard to get a clean shot off

I don't think someone ever plans to purchase a gun at a pawn shop because you can't be sure of their stock.
They can be good for looking around and seeing if they've underpriced something because they're not familiar with it, but they wouldn't be a first choice.

I'm so conflicted
So with Arsenal SLR-107's being completely gone, I'm trying to decide which first AK to buy. I want something which can stand the test of time and is relatively cheap to work on, being on a student budget. My budget is approx 1400$.
Is centurys cq good enough with the C39V2's? Or is maybe and NPap or an IO a better option. The C39 goes for about 860$ and I figured maybe I could get a handgun as well, a CZ-85.
Appreciate your opinions, especially sonce the market is pretty volataile as of late

Recent acquisitions /k/?
Got a new muzzle brake and sound director yesterday and got it installed today. I also milled out the vent holes on my HK green handguard.
I think it's looking pretty nice. Although I do kinda miss my G28 flash hider.
