So I had an idea for a new kind of pistol holster. I'm not from around here, but I'd like to see what the gun guys think.
Essentially, it's a holster with a keypad lock. If you don't enter the combo, it sends an alert to the local police. If a gang of dindus jumps you on the way home, you'll have backup before they manage to sulk into the shadows. If someone steals your gun, they'll be apprehended before they can do any damage.
And, yeah, it'll probably be prohibitively expensive.

>Oh shit I'm getting jumped!
>Let me input my 9 digit code while getting the shit kicked out of me
>Fuck, I messed up
>ALERT
>SMART HOLSTER ENTERING LOCKDOWN MODE
>THE AUTHORITIES HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED
>Gang bangers laugh because they know I'm defenseless
>Take my gun and holster
>Police show up just in time to find my dead body
>Holster tracker was smashed and niggers have my gun with no punishment
Good try OP
This is so fucking stupid its not even bait. What are you doing OP
>>30627282
Op meant it would be unholsterable it qould just call cops
I shot a glock 17 for the first time today (along with a springfield xds), and it was okay. Except, we only fired 50 rounds and had a failure to eject the spent casing.
G17s don't normally do that, right?
Right?
Well, they usually just explode. I'd consider yourself lucky, OP.
What ammo? I've seen brand new out of the box glocks fte wolf
I'm no gun expert.. but it might depend on the ammo you were using.. steel or copper?
And probably plenty of other things too.
I've had copper rounds eject no problemo, and had steel casings get jammed up more often than I'd like..
How would you redesign this into a less vulnerable vehicle?

Add treads and /thread
Do you ever play with your guns while drinking/drunk?
Would you say it deminishes your trigger discipline and increases chances of a n/d by a large margin?
I understand that guns aren't toys and I know to follow the rules of firearm safety at all times but you know what I mean by "playing" with your funz
>>30626859
I play with my guns all the time when I'm drinking. I don't play with loaded guns when I'm drunk though.
>>30626859
I do sometimes use my nugget bolt as a prostate massager. The meme is real.
>>30626891
Have you ever accidentally dry fired a gun while drinking or drunk?
I am looking to get a pistol before the upcoming election/racewar/apocalypse.
Problem is, not 21 so I can't buy from an ffl. I'd like to be able to feel up some pistols before getting one as a gift or getting one used.
Would a gunshop have any issues with me looking at a few? I'd probably buy a box of ammo or two since they wouldn't be able to get a sale from me.
Mainly thinking of Canik TP9V2 for a full sized or a Radom P64 as a CCW.
>>30626499
Well, /k/omrade. You can buy black powder handguns.
>>30626499
You can always make your hand into a pistol and pretend. pew pew
>>30626499
Step 1: walk up to counter. clerk asks if there's anything he can help you with.
Step 2: point at a gun and say "Can I see that one, please?"
Don't act like you aren't going to buy anything, don't tell the clerk you are underage, don't mention someone else might buy a gun for you. Unless you look prepubescent nobody will question you.
Would a Javelina have stopped the truck in Nice?
>>30626255
Yes. Was there a point to this?
only if they were a few kilometers away watching from a hill or something, police having Javelins would not have stopped the attack
it's designed to stop tanks. I would hope it could stop a truck
One Deag
>>30626215
Shortening the already shortened Deagle to Deag doesn't make you cool.
Owning a Deagle doesn't make you cool.
Posting in /k/ about Deagles doesn't make you cool.
Shit in you hand and yawn.
>>30626291
I don't know I own a deagle and pretty much everyone thinks its fucking awesome, sometimes its nice to own something interesting and meme tier rather than boring and practical.
>>30626291
>>30626412
Yeah, if you show it to normies and even some /k/ommando-tier people, they'll still think it's awesome. It's just a cool gun, whether you accept it or not.
Alright /k/, I thought up an incredibly small semi auto shotgun(probably a saiga pattern) purpose built to fire pic related. Any ideas or input?
>>30626127
Make it for less than $500 otherwise no one will buy it.
OP here think pic related but even smaller, with neat features and afformentioned chambering
why not a handgun that shoots minishells?
realistically, how long could this last?
>>30625919
right up until someone shot you
This is almost as stupid as arab bread helmets
>>30625919
Not sure, but I know what I'll be shooting at next trip to the range. I suspect it will work against .22lr and maybe birdshot.

who is this neckbeard
>>30625793
He just got back from the war. He's got some money for his dame.
>>30625658
Thank you for your service.
Ban assault trucks!! We need sensible truck legislation now! Look at that black assault steering wheel, it's only use is to kill more! Sensible people only need wood steering wheels!
In all seriousness how would /k/ defend against a truck barreling toward them? Use high powered rifles? Throw children under the wheels to jam it? Would body armor help?
Anyone have that bear suit gif?
>>30625656
Simple, ban assault famas.
>>30625656
BAN ASSUALT SWIMMING POOLS, SWIMMING IS A GAME OF LIFE AND DEATH
My Dad just called and said he wants a .22 pistol to start learning to shoot. Whats the best bang for buck, nothing fancy. I've never owned a .22 pistol before
>pic unrelated
>22 pistol
Why not a 9mm?
Or even a 380?
>>30625465
ruger mkiii or browning buckmark.
real best bang for the buck 22lr is a heritage roughrider but he probably doesnt want a single action revolver
Ruger MKIII, or Browning Buckmark. if he wants an auto loader. They have so many variants that you are practically guaranteed to find one that will be perfect for him.
Don't know how I've never heard of this, apparently the US military was looking at purchasing rifle rated groin protection and even awarded a company a contract for doing so back in 2012. They call them GAPI plates. Does anyone know if this went anywhere? Medium version supposedly would weight ~1.7 lbs.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ceradyne-inc-receives-groin-armor-113000215.html
https://timemilitary.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/draft_pd.pdf
Russians have a pocket for plates in their 6b43 vest, the groin plates are the same as the side ones.
>>30625403
The only people I've seen wear them were Raven Sword personnel in MGS4.
>>30625443
I've known about the Russian 6b43 for a while now, also has a lower back plate. Also the German groin plates that are almost the size of the chest plate. I'm just surprised that it took me until now to hear about the US military trying it.
I'm looking for a semi automatic shotgun for home defense use. Any suggestions?
>>30625159
Benelli M_
Take your pick
>>30625159
Pump action or gtfo faggot.
Not OP, but I hear a lot of shit about people having thousands of 12ga shells just in case but is there any shotgun other than the benelli m4 that one would actually shoot that much with?
