Can't really give you too much info but I have a German 226. Really smooth double action trigger pull and I like the placement of the decocker where I can use it without altering my firing grip.
If you want the MK25, make sure you know what exactly sets it apart from other 226's or you'll just be wasting your money.

Is it possible to eliminate travel time from projectiles? It would be super useful if artillery didn't have to adjust for shell air travel time when bombarding a target - just dial in the coordinate, and the shell would travel the arc instantly and hit the target. Or a soldier would be able to just line up shots and not have to worry about bullet drop or anything. Is this an active subject of research in the military?

Does /k/ have any experiences or knowledge of the lesser known (but very prevalent) use of drugs by soldiers in war zones? All I know is that lots of soldiers in Vietnam were borderline junkies and I suspect some of the ANA guys we were training were getting into the devils lettuce (thank god we never got into a proper fire-fight). Enlighten me.

Used to use it. It's a pain in the ass.
If you follow the instructions to the letter, heating the gun up with a hair dryer, scrubbing the shit in, letting it set, wiping EVERYTHING off... it works pretty good. It also takes entirely too much time and effort.
If you try to use it like a normal lube, your gun will start to get gummy and will have all sorts of problems.
If you were looking at it just because you want something non-toxic to use indoors, look at Mpro-7. I switched to that, and it's been great.
