Convince me not to spend my dollaroos on an SP2022.

It's a shit design. Polymer shoehorned into an originally metal framed design.
Go for the P320 if you want a polymer Sig Sauer (designed from scratch for polymer), or just save yourself the headaches of modern Sig Sauer stuff and get a used German P226.
Get the P320 OP. I have it in 9mm and 357 Sig. Great gun.

What if I don't want strikerfired garbage?
How well would a proficient swordsman with a saber, a cutlass, or any such light sword from the 17th-18th century fare against someone from an earlier century with. Such as a viking with an axe, a man at arms with a longsword, a spearman, etc.
Understandably they'd probably be at a disadvantage if the other person had a shield or any amount of armor. But would they stand a fair chance if they caught them with just their weapon?
>>32812831
In the absence of armor or shields, the lighter weapon would most likely win. Melee combat wasn't like Game of Thrones where they bang their weapons against each others'.
The spearman would destroy all of them. Spears are really good, as range is king. The rest come down to personal strength and skill for the most part. Assuming all was equal then saber > longsword > axe.
>>32812856
Keep in mind, however, that creating a scenario in which weapons, but not their attendant armor and shields, are employed will result in a meaningless analysis.
This is my first ND.
My finger slipped off the hammer of my 686+ and sent a Hornady 110gr .38+P round through my mattress, through the boxspring, and into the spare mattress under it. As far as I can tell, it did not leave the second mattress.
I've been playing with my revolvers' hammers for months.
How much of a dumbass am I?
>>32812567
> through my mattress, through the boxspring, and into the spare mattress under it
Shitty penetration
>>32812582
this. what kind of mattress do you have? like some temperpedic foam? because my mattressis literally fabric on coiled springs of empty air
>>32812567
also unless your finger was on the trigger the hammer has a block that prevents falling on a chamber when not reaching full cock
post pics of the damage
The HK416 is objectively the best service rifle in existence right now.
And?
What is there to discuss here, OP?
>>32812464
Not best in terms of cost effectiveness.
The AK will probably hold that until someone else can invent a rifle that's mass produced for under $150
If you were in charge, how would you defeat ISIS?
>>32812086
Get KSA and other gulf states to cut their funding.
Arm Assad, coordinate with the ruskies.
Fuck 'em up.
Thoughts?

Well the game wasn't bad as a battlefield game, but for a WW1 game it was complete unplayable shit
>>32810302
I managed to ignore the WW1 part entirely and just play it like a battlefield game. I'm having fun with it because I've just rationalized it as an alternative universe
I mean, it is a legendary handgun, whether or not warranted.
Personally I dislike 90% of 1911s, but they can pretty much be considered the GOAT semi-pistol, because of length of use.
It's whatever. Quit being a /v/ faggot.
how the fuck do I get my hands on one of these?
>>32808189
You won't, you have a better chance of getting a semi-automatic VSS than you do a Howa
>>32808189
You don't.

but I REALLY, REALLY want one
/x/ here. These things are real. Any good anti-dogman weapons you can think of?
inb4 9mm pistols
Keep in mind these guys are 7-12 feet tall and can run 40 miles per hour.
>>32807459
does a dog-man differs from a standard werewolf, cause I'm pretty sure the last are very afraid of furries.
or silver bullets, if you have that kind of money
Seriously. They will.
it made sense to us at the time
so will the british
>>32806763
But is it any worse than the anti-tank rock?
When will this fudd round finally die off?
Seriously, with modern ammo, this is just a meme round for baby boomers.
Hep C is for baby boomers.
.45 ACP is the suppressed handgun cartridge of choice for the distinguished professional.
>>32806803
>louder than 9mememeter
nope
Have /k/ stocked up any food, water, fuel for generators, etc?
Just curious.
>Do you have at least 500 rounds of total ammunition
>Do you have at least 30L of clean drinking water?
>Do you have enough canned food to last you 1 month?
>Do you have at least 10 liters of spare gasoline for a generator or car?
Can you really consider yourself safe if you can't feed yourself in the event of a SHTF scenario?
Most of you city bitches are fucked.
If an 8.0 earthquake hits your city tomorrow, how will you eat?
If a 20ft tsunami fucks your coastal city up, what will you do?
If a blizzard traps you in for more than 2 weeks, what will you do?
>be me
>all I have is a fucking hatchet
>can't own guns until my upcoming 21st birthday because I was in a psych ward when I was a teenager
>I have enough water for 1 month.
>I have enough canned food, rice and oats for 1 month
>No spare gas
>I live in a city of 190,000 people in Commiefornia by the coast
How fucked am I /k/?
Is anything abor .270 win even useful in a SHTF scenario?
>>32806531
>500 rounds total
Nigga, if you don't have at least 1k each for everything you intend to keep I don't know what to tell you.

/gg/ glock general thread
Post about your glock and thoughts on the weapon. No fanboys allowed only honest, unbiased opinions.
>>32806522
biased against them cause they're ugly, but will probably buy one cause best gun in the price range.
Can I get a redpill on the "grip angle" being off? Is this some legitimat gripe or just autism?
What the hell would you even talk about in this retarded thread? All the exotic glocks?
"CARROTS GENERAL THREAD TALK ABOUT CARROTS AND HOW YOU LIKE TO EAT THEM"

Carrots are gross. I can only eat them when cooked til mushy and in a casserole with other things.
sup /k/
just got a new m&p 2.0 in fde. this is the 5" model. I haven't shot it yet, but here's my blog post.
heres a few things i'd like to share with you guys
changes to the gun from the original m&p™:
the trigger is much improved. I would say it's probably a tick below the glock standard trigger, or maybe right on par with it. has about 1/4 of takeup, and the trigger pull is like 1/8 inch once you start to feel resistance. trigger pull seems about 6.5 pounds, but I dont have a scale.
magazine catch is now metal instead of plastic. this is a nice little upgrade, also the texture of it feels a little different.
the stippling is much more aggressive. think 80 grit sandpaper.
obviously it comes with 4 backstraps. this is a nice little feature
the fde model was s&w's entry to the MHS, as such, comes with loaded chamber indicator, and a manual safety. everything is ambi on this gun, including safety and slide catch.
comes with 2 17 round mags
standard 3 dot sights, dovetailed
the slide stop is changed. it seems more secure. on my older m&ps if i had the slide locked back i could slam a loaded mag in and the slide would chamber a round, the new one will no longer do this.
anything i missed?
Guess I shoulda made a roll thread instead

(((Le Redpill))) me on modern nuclear war. Is Oppenheimer around?
What would a U.S. vs Russia war look like? U.S. vs China?
What is going to be targeted with which kinds of warheads?
How would one prepare for such a conflict?
How would one take care of themselves in the Upper Midwest?
How prepared have we been since 1991? How quickly can we expect to be prepared?
I'm not overtly concerned with the threat of it in the near future, but the prospect does intrigue me.
"In event of nuclear strike, remain in cover for 30 minutes minimum. Proceed to expose yourself to radiation for 1 hour, retreat, and repeat while increasing exposure by +1 hours intervals. Your body will build an immunity" (FM3-7)
>>32805921
Is this the radiation equivalent of the shooting yourself with .22 meme?
Oppenheimer is honorably kill,
Autists ran him off his trip
He probably still lurks though
We love you oppenheimer.
I'm looking to buy my first shotgun. I want something for home defense and occasional skeet shooting in the $300-$600 range. What do you recommend /k/?
>>32805791
just get yourself a double barrel shotgun
all you need is a double barrel shotgun, really powerful
good for defense too, you hear someone break in just go out on the back deck and shoot off a couple bullets
thats all you need to do
get a double barrel shotgun
>>32805791
I'm a fan of police trade-in Remington 870s. You can find them for under $300 easily. They are workhorses.
