single shot, three round burst, or full auto?
>>32815334
HK's 30 round burst ist gut
For what purpose?
We need context to be able to decide, one isn't objectively better in every situation.
But I'd choose all 3.
>>32815358
>30 round burst
nigga das full auto

I'm ik the market for a quality levergat. Is the Zombie Strike half-decent or are there better options? It's pretty ugly but I haven't seen shit else.
Follow-up:
Does /k/ prefer dart or ball ammo? It looks like darts are more universal compared to a niche of ball weapons.
Ball carries better imo.
Easier to conceal and better ballistics.

Can you get a job in the US army if you cant do physical tasks ?
I used to play soccer but last year I found out I have a congenital heart disease and I cant do high intensity physical activities anymore.
This year will be my first college year and Im yet to decide what Im going to study. I want it to be something that would allow me to get a job in the army even if I cant do physical tasks.
I really dont want to go into STEM and I suck at maths so thats probably not for me, what career do you think would let me get into the army ?
Anything in the humanities/social sciences field like psychology or whatever.
>>32814599
>Can you get a job in the US army if you cant do physical tasks ?
Yes.
>I found out I have a congenital heart disease and I cant do high intensity physical activities
No.
Everyone has to do boot camp.
Former Marine.
You are what is known as a bitch. Enjoy the sidelines.
>Congenital heart disease

Also there is an entire thread dedicated to people like you for questions like this.
Is 45 Long Colt a viable cartridge for self defense? How does it fair when compared to other revolver cartridges like .357 and .44?
>>32814421
>Is 45 Long Colt a viable cartridge for self defense?
Yes. Just make sure your revolver or lever action can handle the self-defense loads, which are hotter than the original .45 Colt specifications.
>>32814421
of course
>>32814421
Just get a SA revolver in 45acp. There alot out there since last year.
Have you guys ever felt like your love of firearms drives people away?
I can't help but feel like I could have many more friends or even a gf if my main hobby wasn't firearms related.
My /k/omrades, tell me of times your passion has hurt your personal life.
>>32814300
Yes, one of the greatest benefits of gun ownership is getting the self-indulgent, fart sniffing asshats away from you.
>>32814300
I do actually have to stop myself from talking about guns around my group of friends of whom a few are into guns and the rest completely don't care. I don't want to be that annoying fuck who talks about something in great detail that you don't give a fuck about.

Met a qt a few months later that comes from a nogunz country and quickly transitioned her and her sister into shooting. You don't need those people in your life, OP.
Hear hear!
The revision of the EU firearms directive has come out.
>SBR laws everywhere
>Mags over 10 rounds for rifles are now forbidden unless you have category A license, getting caught with 30 round mags will mean you will get your guns taken away.
>You now need to be in a club and participate regularly to keep your guns
>Medical testing every few years
>law will have to adopted by all EU states including Switzerland and Norway until 2018.
So, we are fucked. Even in Switzerland we will get fucked.
Feels bad man.
Any feedback from European gun owners? Are you guys willing to register your high capacity mags or will you just claim that you have none?

thats what you all get for joining the EU, i can only hope your only recourse is to have all your guns forcefully surplused here to the US
>>32814305
Funny thing is, we are not in the EU and we still have to enforce these laws.

Non-inbred /k/ knows it's an imperfect platform that is still unrivaled in capability and quickly becoming cheaper than less capable competitors.
Bug fixes happened, you retard. Everyone who thought the F-35 was going to be useless forever has no understanding of how complex software development works.
Sup /k/ I need a little help. Recently my grandfather passed away and he left me a rifle in his will. It was a bring back from WW2 when he was serving in the Navy. Allegedly he killed a Japanese soldier and took his rifle but not sure how true that is. As far as I can tell it is an arisaka but other than that I am lost. Could anyone identify some of the markings?
arisaka anon will be here shortly to help you out. hes got some kind of 6th sense when it comes to someone talking about these rifles.
Can we make it stop bullets?
Sure, but being that immobile in a firefight doesn't sound fun
probably.
a better question is would it be wearable by a human being not on canseco levels of steroids and still be able to function as a anything other than a giant bullet sponge.
>>32813843
Any type of clothing can be made to stop bullets by slapping a bunch of plates on it.
The question is how the fuck you're going to move around in that weight.
It's got extreme stopping power, has a scope and can penetrate walls. Why isn't this the standard rifle for the US soldier?
>>32813589
Rifles are for supressing, not for shooting at the enemy
it's been this way since ww1
Why are you so retarded?
>>32813589
Hey dudes. My 686 gets really hard to close the cylinder when loaded with .357 mag cartridges. When I finally force it closed the cylinder is stuck and will not "revolve" when I pull the double action trigger (its stuck). I can kind of force it to "revolve" with my hand if I guide it just right while pulling the hammer down for single action fire (its really stiff though). Doing this a few times and decocking a few times again the cylinder becomes smooth like normal function.
Whats wrong and how can I fix it? Is the "syncing/timing" of the mechanism inside kind of off or something? Loose? Idk bros but Thanks for any help. This isnt happening with .38 spl cartridges.
>>32813472
If the cylinder wasn't going in why did you force it?
>>32813472
>isnt happening with .38 spl cartridges.
>...
Doesnt even make any sense. .38 cartridge is only slightmg shorter than .357 cartridge.
Neither one projects pst the front end of the cylinder.
>>32813472
Take it to a person who can fix that bullshit, it's probably out of time.
