>got hit with a rubber bullet
come on now... do you know nothing?
The gun industry has been taken over by commercialism. I don't mind a little product placement, but the gun magazines do so much shilling you can't even tell the articles from the ads anymore. They tell us we can't use our good old soft points anymore. Instead, they expect us to pay twice as much for some fancy "premium" bullets with plastic tips in them and funny colored coatings on the jackets and brass. They tell us our old calibers aren't good enough and we have to buy new rifles chambered in some freakish new magnum cartridge.
Gaht dammit OP yer right! And I bet it's got somethin to do with that gay agenda keep pushin. Why back in my day...
>>34948516
Your stupid or new if you think that is a recent development, or bad in general.
>>34948544
>>34948551
I never said it was new. Yes, it's been going on for a long time, but it IS a function of time. Every year brings us new gadgets, but most of them either serve no purpose or fail to serve them better than what we already had. This is especially so with cartridges. 7mm Mauser is older than any smokeless American cartridge, and it has killed every species that walks or crawls, including African bull elephants, so the idea that you need some magnum cartridge to hunt deer sounds preposterous indeed.
The shop were going has this in stock in their price range:
M&P 15 Sport II (what I would pick)
Springfield Saint
Ruger 8500 AR556
Should I tell them to get the sport?
Your entire family is going to share one AR-15? That's so sweet, but sad at the same time.
>>34948330
It came down to a tough choice between an AR and a new set of truck nuts for the family truck.
>>34948320
Get whichever is the cheapest of the three, they're all pretty much exactly identical in terms of fit, finish, and reliability.
Why do you need the second amendment?
If you intend on scaring the government by keeping and bearing arms with the intent to be able to overthrow the government, why do you need it to be legal to do so?
Why do you need the revolution to be legalized? It's a revolution, it's already anti-government, why do you give a shit about law at that point?
>>34948293
in case you lose.
>>34948293
I think the law is there to be adhered to, by the government, before any revolution takes place. Basically so that they don't take our guns THEN take over. They have to take over then grab guns.
If the government chooses to take our guns, we have it on paper that they are operating out of bounds and can justify a resistance, be it verbal or violent.

Why does this exist? How is it an improvement over the SR9?
>bigger than the SR9
>clunkier than the SR9
>heavier than the SR9
What made Ruger think this design was a good idea?
>>34948235
should I buy a SR9e as my first gun?
>>34948243
It's a good gun. If you want a reliable pistol that doesn't break the bank go for it
>>34948258
what about people who say 9mm isn't enough stopping power

Post retarded gun designs by people who have no fucking clue how guns work.
Borderlands is a treasure trove of this kind of shit
Anyone here know if a Mosin with the barrel cut to 17 inchs will fit in a ATI Monte Carlo stock?
Yes it will. I had an m44 that was pretty trashed and in an ati stock. I cut it down to 17" and there was still atleast 4 more inches past the stock
>>34947947
Make sure to use a lathe, eh?
How much of "da marines do more with less" and "we make due with Army used equipment" is a meme? From what I see, the USMC actually shares very little of it's gear with the Army these days, meaning that hand-me-downs are less viable. They seem to have tweaked almost all of their gear to be ever so slightly different from the Army, sometimes for very obscure reasons.
>>34947945
the usmc is staffed with the rejects of the other branches
It was true up til about 2008ish, but these days its thoroughly a meme. All their kit is new, their vehicles are mostly new, their optics and rifles are seldom older than a decade and it looks like they're getting a brand new service rifle in a roundabout way too.
>>34947966
Lol, its harder to get in the Marines than the other branches.
Where can I buy a Winchester 1897 in Lubbock Texas?

How do you guys feel about the Cold Steel Rajah 2? Anyone owned one before? I'm gonna buy one tommorow
seems silly. What's the use case? 99% chance it'll stay on the shelf
>>34947876
Nope, gonna be my edc.
>>34947889
too big for EDC IMHO TQBH PHAM. The length would be manageable if the rest of it was skinnier. Also I hate sharpening recurves but some people don't mind. Taking a look around I'd probably for for something like the CS Counter Point XL which is 6" blade as well but almost half the weight, a lot skinner, but it still has a nice recess in the grip (better than the similar sized CS stiletto or Holdout)
I'm joining a local pistol competition club and was wondering what should be a nice starting competition pistol

What class do you want to be in?
