Can I ask a slightly off topic question. Has anyone noticed that a lot of images are taking a very fucking lone time to load now? I have 80mps down and no other site is having any kind of issue except 4chins. When I hover over an image half the time it instantly expands but now the other half take 20-30 seconds to load.

Well, 5.56 requires velocity to kill, which in a 10.5 incher means that your max range with MK262 is gonna be about 275~ yards.
While .300 black is designed for SBRs, it drops like a fucking rock at distance. It's also very expensive and if you wanna be quiet, you need to buy slow moving, shittily performing ammo.

Shorter barrel makes a louder rifle so consider a fullsize 7.62 can. My 11.5" with omega+5.56 endcap is around hearing safe (no meter but probably close to 140) but I still shoot with earpro because its still loud.

If you want larp/wrol go with 5.56 since .300 is niche still and subs even more so.

Alright. My principle concern was ballistics and effective range anyway, effectiveness of suppression is more of a secondary consideration for me. Everyone memes 300BLK to be god tier out of SBRs and suppressors, however, and I'm aware how velocity dependent 5.56 is (although, I wasn't sure the extent to which this was mitigated by specialty ammunition.), so I wasn't sure what to go with.

Size and bulk really, you can get a lighter dedicated 5.56 can compared to a 7.62 can but if you go with an omega or other gucci you will be fine. Upside of that increased size/bulk is the fact that you have more space for gas to expand and a can that is overbuilt for 5.56 uses. A 5.56 endcap on a 7.62 can will further drop the noise.

Only the .308 for now, still honing my skills and don't have anywhere to shoot past 500yards closer than 3 hours drive, though there is a new 1000y range just over 3 hours away now. I kinda want to buy the 18" .338lm for the unsuppressed option to be a dick to a certain group of assholes I see at the range occasionally.

The trigger is sick. I haven't fired many comparable rifles to this one but I can't imagine it gets any better. Light, crisp, no play at all, and that's how I got it when its fully adjustable. My first group after sighting at 100y was less than .5moa, 5 shots, and the first time I fired a rifle over 25y.

The bolt will take some getting used to but not an issue by any means, just different.
