Hey /k/. /pol/ack here. I'm from a pretty poor and dangerous country, and due to some fucked up things in the past i've fallen in love with all kinds of "Modern" weapons. I've been restoring old knives for a while, and i want to make some of my own weapons. I'm pretty poor, so if anyone has any not too complicated homemade weapons for me to try and make, it would be great. Shoot me up bois. Pic unrelated.
What tools do you have?
Can you buy ammo?
>>33057790
I have basic tools, and not legaly. I can most likely get some, but it has to be on the black market. Whatchu got for me mate?
Is it a hobby (aesthetics) or do you plan to sell / do crime (cheap+practical)?
What /k/ related clothes do you own?
>>33057677
none. i'm not a sperglord.
>>33057694
Nothing wrong with a little /k/ memes, brah

Remember the Saudi frigate attacked by the Houthis? Remote operated boat delivered by Iran.
Suicide USVs, what a world we live in.

Why can't muslim give up the concept of ''suicide'' and actually act like normal people for once?
>>33057619
Do Saudi ships not have very basic sonar/radar detection systems and countermeasures against that sort of thing?
>>33057637
In this case it works well.
You can look at the millennium challenge that one CAG was killed by missiles and a lot more by conventional and suicide small boats.
And how is useing a suicide USV different than a useing a ASM?
Whats a good choice for a first time buy? Im thinking the SKS because its cheap as fuck.
any experts here who could give me advice? Keep in mind im from Canada so no full auto or anything remotely scary looking
>>33057560
SKS is a good choice in that country, get a ton of food for it and you are set.
>>33057565
I've heard they can be in really bad shape though? because they were all shipped from the USSR so there is a chance that Vladimir used it to batter his enemies head in.
To those of you that have built ARs, do you check the headspace or just rely on the good ole Milspec standard?
>>33057500
wtf is field?
>>33057503
Out of spec but not terribly dangerous yet.
Is it actually "immoral" to train/deploy child soldiers? In many cases, the kids are already living (and being killed) in areas at war. It's not like they're being shipped to some front; they are AT the front. Either they train up and fight back, or they get massacred helplessly.
>>33057281
If it's strictly self defense, I don't see an issue with it. But I don't think that is considered a soldier.
well if the training consists in force them to figth and kill their parents then yes
Honestly, the only real issue I have with child soldiers is that generally they are recruited Congo-style and deployed against their will. Usually it leads to them getting fucked up.
>have parents killed in front of them or are forced to execute parents
>often hopped up on drugs nonconsensually, leading to addiction (see "brown-brown")
>forced to do fucked up shit beyond the normal fucked-up shit that happens during conflicts, like the kind of stuff that would make hardened veterans who've seen it all wince
If we're talking about a village militia in a warzone training a local 13 year old to be part of their village self-defense forces, then that's fine. It's a fucking warzone, and the kid is big enough to hold the rifle. If we're talking about forcing kids into armed groups and abusing them physically, emotionally, and sexually African-style like the term "child soldiers" generally implies, then no. That's fucked up. I have a pretty gray sense of morality because of my fucked-up childhood, and even I think that's immoral beyond belief.
I need a cheap 1911 either 9mm or .22 what are my options /k/.
>>33057280
Rock Island 1911. Surprisingly good 1911s for the price.
>>33057280
for a 22LR probably armscor or gsg
for 9mm probably RIA
for that matter for a 45 RIA as well

Have you ever been in a situation where you were asked to provide your weapon's serial number, or to show your NFA stamps or machine gun registration?
or is the law basically unenforceable?
someone who is not me is asking for a friend for theoretical research purposes only and he does not own any dogs and he would like to build an oh so very noncompliant gun and would like to know if he would get bothered at the range
>>33056675
Probably get bothered.
Probably get dog shot.
>>33056675
If you're not doing anything illegal you will never be asked for your serials
Intent to break laws, intent to construct illegal weapon in circumvention of laws, being in possession of a non registered nfa weapon in general let alone non compliant, traveling with said gun, bringing said gun to private property which forbids illegal shit
Yeah bud you're so edgy I bet if the cops tried to bust down your down you'd get headshots on all of them before they even knew what happened huh
>>33056675
My local gun range asks for my SBR stamps when I go to shoot.
Thats why I go to the free outdoor range with no RSOs
Getting into reloading. Read up a bit, saw the consensus that you tumble the pistol ammo and let the progressive press deprime it, but tumble once, then deprime, then tumble again with steel pins and only then send the brass to the press if it is rifle and especially precision ammo.
What tool do I want to use for depriming the rifle ammo before tumbling it for the second time?
>>33056487
Tumbling twice is really autistic.
The sizing die decaps (deprimes) the brass, or since you're starting with a progressive press (you probably shouldn't) you could get a universal decapper.
>>33056487
>>33056533
>Tumbling twice is really autistic.
I can agree with this statement about pistol rounds (I don't think I'll ever need it for anything better than training for speed shooting at self defense distances), but I can see the point about precision ammo. Not that I'm gonna get into it much, but just investigating the options.
>starting with a progressive press (you probably shouldn't)
I absolutely hate to pay twice for anything. I've been through a lot of pastimes already, lots of them expensive, and figured out that if I do want something, I'd better do my homework and get The Very Last Thing I Will Ever Need. So far, it works for me.
>universal decapper
I assume you mean the tool that goes into one of the press' stations. How do you disable other stations when all you want to do is deprime?
We know the anti-gun dems in Cali are most likely going to push another semi-auto ban like the one Brown vetoed a few years back, but in the meantime the vendors are coming out with new products to keep rifles legal.
The main way we're seeing people convert their rifles now is tying the mag release to the upper to satisfy the new definition of "disassembly of the action". Obviously this is kind of dumb and awkward, but the newer thing coming out from Mean Arms is basically a bolt-on conversion (any mil-spec upper they claim) that turns your gun into a strip loader. Personally I'd like to see it work with off-the-shelf clips but for the moment it's definitely a hell of a lot faster and slightly more appealing to me at least.
Also it's worth noting that the last semi-auto ban concerned all semi-autos with detachable magazines so even the current shotgun technique probably won't last long, especially with Gavin Newsome coming into office soon.

So my friend wants to buy my gun from me but i live in California and i dont feel like going through the FFL transfer bullshit. Is there any way anyone would know if i didnt trade it through an FFL?
>>33056245
Did you buy it through an FFL transaction? If so, then there's a record and your gun is registered to you.
>>33056264
Yea i bought it through an FFL. Damn is it like if you look up serial # my name comes up?
>>33056288
yes
if you illegally sell it and your buddy does something stupid with it its your ass not his
