>Look /k/, I'll make you an offer. I'll give you a 7/10 oper8or gf but you can only own 1 gun and 50 rounds of ammo
>>33068465
Make it a trap and you have a deal as long as she's not some right wing Nazi
>>33068465
1 gun? Fine.
Limit the amount of rounds I can have for it? Not a chance.
>>33068465
I don't want an operating gf because then not only will she care about what guns I'll own, she'd care that I only owned 1 gun and 50 rounds of ammo.
Not to mention the fact that netting 7/10's is not that difficult if you aren't a massive autist.
Just got out of the Marine Corps, what steps do I have to take to become a gunsmith?
You mean what steps do you have to take to become a bubba?
>>33068495
No a real gunsmith
>>33068547
Go to gunsmith school; I would say make sure to tell them about your "service" but as a marine I don't think that part will be a problem for you.
Anyone else order from Marschal Grips? Just put an order in for this Makarov piece and I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake for the $80 price.
Another image of the grips

>wood (dick) grips
Double entendre? I was never good at science.
If theres not a banner for the Mak grips that says "Let me put my wood in your hands" don't buy from him ever again.
>>33068233
Looks gorgeous
I'm sure you'll enjoy it
I hope your mak isn't a scratched to shit specimen though, that would be kind of a waste.
Why doesn't the US army and navy use sks in battle so they can use ammo from the terrorist AKs?
>>33068146
Because war doesn't play out like COD.
battel
>>33068146
Cause it might blow up.
What's the least autistic/tryhard/wannabe looking piece of uniform that one can wear as a civilian without looking like an idiot?
My vote goes for the WW2 tanker jackets with special guest appearance of the A2 flight jacket

Hey /k/, in you opinion are there any weapon that buy either construction or by function morally repulsive?
I feel there are a few straight up trolls in the gun world. The Streetsweeper and its insane not banned by name "Lady home defender" spring to mind. Both for being a shitty cheap design and having a poor marketing campaign straight out of any number of terrible liberal anti gun programs.
Raven arms as op showed and Jennings are pretty bad as well. They tried to keep the early 1900's velodog and pocket pistol market going with inferior products that more often then not seemed to be picked up by low rent gang bangers. The real insult is the notorious jamming problems would spell curtains for any law abiding user.
Tec-9 gets a good number of jimmies rustling as its a cludgy brick using an extremely basic blowback which constantly gets bandied about as being easy to make full auto. One of the big stars of the assault weapons bill.
I think any of the muffler shop semi autos like Ravenarms though are the worst. They are a poor choice for self defense if you actually have to use them. Even Hi-Point with its low price tag and similar ill reput as a criminal pistol at least is highly reliable and safe to operate for a cheap protection device.
Vulcan V50 .50 cal is the Raven arms of the big bore rifles with more then a few explosive incidents. A quick cash grab resulted in a totally unsafe shoulder fired pipe bomb.
Would wmd's count?
Just got a dozen new arrows in today, just waiting on some leather to make an arm guard.
Have another dozen on the way without field points to install some broad heads. I have some raw iron broadheads coming in too for spring hunting.
Anyone else shoot traditional style archery? (Longbows and Recurves)

> 72'' Cherrywood english longbow 45lb pull, No shelf.
Theres not enough of us here to make and effective thread. and im about to go to bed.
keep the sport alive tho man, it really is the best

>70" yew with red oak and bamboo backing
I do have a shelf, with a patch of beaver fur on the riser.
Been shooting since I was three, started off with the suction cub walmart special.
Already have a suction cup now for when my kid is old enough... when or if my fiancé and I get preggers.
>>33067710
>feathers
I bet you like to go slow.
You should've gone vanes on a twist or helix. Now you've got to worry about getting them wet.
Also, three feathers probably cost as much as the shaft.
/k/ approved youtubers
Hickok45, and nutnfancy are youtubers I currently watch, knife fag scum trying to get more information on things that spit rocks
>>33067565
Virtuovice is a pretty good source on knifes
Knight Errant is great for midevel armour
Forgotten Weapons and InRange TV are standard /k/ fare.
I also like Military Arms Channel, he does shill videos occasionally and some on /k/ hate him for it, but he doesn't drone on endlessly like nutn and he gets a lot of cool guns.
Ian-sempai and Grandpa Jerry Miculek.
The rest can rot in hell.
Just bought my first scary non-black rifle. She needs a little help, relating to whatever the hell screw into the stock (besides swivels), anyone here who can assist me?
Seems like you have it stuck on the roof, OP. I'd get it down from there before you try anything.
>>33067479
Buy some stock swivels, screw them into the stock. Buy a sling you like, attach to swivels. Wallah.
Can we have a "different but useful" thread?
Basically a thread for guns that did things a little different but weren't completely useless.
>Chiappa Rhino, along with a few other revolvers designed by the same person, have a 6'o'clock bore axis design that reduces the amount of upward recoil
>>33067217
>>33067217
Here's an example of how to be different but useless.
So not this.
>>33067251
What's different about it?
>>33067217
you know this is just going to turn into one of these threads, don't you?
I want to know all about the AR, enough so I don't look like a total idiot at the gun shop. I want to know the good, average and bad brands, common mistakes, autistic details, finish types, magazine, everything. I am somewhat of a cheap fag so I am looking to build a AR that will survive the apocalypse and can customize the shit out of it if needed (but nothing too tacticool). I got a budget of around 3000$ leafmoney so around 2300 USD. Not too fancy about optics
I didn't know firing a gun was such a liberating experience, I feel like I've been missing out so much.
>>33066999
Firstly don't listen to tripfags and don't visit /arg/
1. Make sure the gas key is properly staked
2. Make sure the barrel and bolt are mp/hpi tested
That is what makes a good AR.

>redpill
This would be more your speed slick.
>>33067185
so does the decocker on that thing just make the end fall off or what?
Sup lads, I'm going trap shooting for the first time next week. Give me some pointers please.
>>33066836
Dude don't be transphobic, it's 2017.
Got room for one more?
I hate fags as much as the next guy, I've never had the chance to shoot one.
All the jokes going thru my head and i still just say lead and follow thru after the shot. Good luck
What handgun caliber should I be using in case I come up against big guys?

Hey /K/
What is your opinion on PSA parts? Do you find them as a viable option?
>>33066484
premium line is ok, avoid anything PTAC.
>>33066494
Yeah, I agree completely. I built a ~650 AR using their "blem" stuff and it's fantastic.
>>33066484
Premium FN made barrels on their uppers are fucking awesome. The rest of their mid grade shit is M&P tier which isn't inherently bad but IS on the lower side of the spectrum regarding quality.
Good deals on blemished stuff with barely any marks. If you intend actually use it then 10/10 times go for blemished parts. Same with any other store.
Why don't they just give every soldier a minigun? Wouldn't they be unstoppable?
>>33066150
the force applied to the user would effectively fuck you over. that combined with the weight of ammo, gun, battery to make it work, charge time of battery, etc makes standard LMGs more appealing.
>>33066150
Well because the Military isn't run by a bunch of 12 year old's who play COD.
Because BRRRRRRRRRRRRT is expensive and we don't have power armor.
