Ignore this faggot >>33059449.

Some people are such special snowflakes they get indignant if they are forced to do unthinkable things like

>Obey simple instructions
>Be expected to have good hygiene
>Relate to other people without throwing an autistic REEEE fit
>Kill "people" who are very good at pretending they aren't evil
>Not shove an entire bucket of lard into their face every day in between going for a jog

Of course a lot of the limp-dicked cum-guzzlers on this board find such common day-to-day activities to be the same as bathing in acid, so they shame anyone who isn't as mentally deranged as they are.

You'll make more friends than you thought possible, you'll run into people 5 years later at another base and catch up like lost brothers, and you'll learn skills that will be extremely competitive on the civilian market, especially with Trump's forthcoming legislation giving vets priority for jobs over fucking wetbacks.

Also good job on ATC. You'll be making buku bucks and the incentive bonuses are crazy.

I scored a 97 on my ASVAB and my recruiter told me I could do pretty much anything I wanted jobeuse but before I chose, he wanted me to take a new survey they have. My top 5 jobs listed were all ATC or ATC related except for some program that has another test that comes later. I can provide proof if you need it.

Bumping for interest.

I'm not easily startled, but when I am, I get a nasty flinch. Can that be desensitized out or something? Being able to keep focus and total control is a concern, I want to improve reaction time under stress.

Not talking about shooting. I'm good with that. I flinch very bad if someone sneaks up on me. I'd like to fix that.

I'm car shopping and there are some brands or models that are sleepers, cars that don't receive a lot of attention but are actually pretty slick.

Are there any sleepers in the handgun world?

I like having different caliber guns and I have nothing in .45 ACP. I also need a CC gun.
I'm 6'5", /fit/ and 207 lbs.
Is a skinny 1911 or some compact gun my best option for .45 carry?
Please don't try to sell me on a different caliber.

im 5'9" stocky, and I carry a 1911. Either small of back or shoulder holster if im wearing a jacket. I recommend stainless steel if youre carrying, otherwise if you got your pic related, the bluing would wear off to a dull gray.

Brand wise, for a stock gun, Colt is fine. Especially if you decide to go for the compact size. They have a couple of new variations that are interesting to me, but I would stick with a non railed 1911 if youre carrying it daily.

Springfield is also nice if you want more than a stock gun, but its spendy.

If you can find a ww1 reproduction like your pic related, I would recommend that, get the aniverssary III model. It has a black oxide finish that wont put you off when it gets holster wear. The reason I recommend this particular model is because of the sights. They are the super tiny GI sights that are so small they cant snag on anything.

I carry a full size 1911. 5'11 165lb. Get a good hybrid holster and you should be fine once you figure out where to carry it. I have an aliengear set to ride as high as possible, with the shortest spacers on the left side to press the grip into my back.

It's not comfortable. It's heavy, the grip digs into your back and you've got to always be aware of the grip when you sit down, crouch, stand up, etc. it doesn't print if im standing but if I bend my back the grip stands right out. A heavy duty gun belt is a must for a 1911

I love my 1911 but it is a retarded carry gun. I just happen to spend my money on other projects because a dedicated carry gun is super low priority for me.
>>
>>33058762
Thanks man. Do you feel the slimness of a 1911 makes it a better option than some compacts (like a cz 75 b compact or glock 30 or Springfield XD compact) that have smaller length x height dimensions?
>>33058772
So I guess it would be fair to say you don't recommend a full size 1911, despite it's relative slimness?

lazers do not drift with wind and air temperature

they do not have ballistic drop

there is no recoil to get good at preparing for

ballistics of a lazer dont change from a barrel getting hot

you don't learn about the reliability of your weapon with various ammo from a lazer

etc..

/k/, are there any full-size pistols for folks with babby hands and short sausage fingers that aren't 1911s? GLOCK, SIG, and Czechnology all have triggers and controls that I can't reach without holding the pistol like a retard. I can at least reach the trigger and safety on a 1911, even if the mag release is a stretch.

Lionheart LH9. It's literally a handgun designed for Korean manlets.

I'm guessing you can't get your finger in to the first knuckle for more leverage on the Sig and CZ's heavier double action trigger pulls. You're going to have a MUCH easier time with the LH9's DA+ trigger.

You can't make this shit up:

Sherman M4A4 also known as Sherman V, made mostly for the horse-teeth people* had a power unit that was made out of 5 Chrysler A57 engines with combined power of 370/450 horsepower.

Technical & logistical retardation aside, my hat is off to those engineers who made it work.

This baby also had 3 engines coupled together.

"so the Sentinel was powered by the combined output of three Cadillac 346 in3 (5.7 L) V8 petrol car engines installed in clover-leaf configuration (two engines side-by-side to the front and a single to the rear: all three feeding a common gearbox)"

http://learningenglish.voanews.com/a/us-aircraft-carrier-south-china-sea/3729373.html

>A U.S. Navy aircraft carrier strike group has begun "routine operations" in the South China Sea. The operations came despite a warning from China not to interfere with Chinese sovereignty in the area.

>The U.S. Navy announced the operations on Saturday. The strike group includes Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson.

>The Navy Times reported last week on the planned operations with information provided by unnamed Navy officials. The report clearly angered China’s foreign ministry. A foreign ministry spokesman urged U.S. officials “not to take any actions that challenge China's sovereignty and security."

>China claims the man-made islands are part of its territory, along with many other parts of the South China Sea. Satellite images suggest China has added military weapons to some of the islands.

>Other countries with territorial claims in the sea are the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brunei.

It's time to talk about the elephant in the room, the South China Sea. This is the most likely spot for the next conflict with USA.

-Will USA go it alone against China?
-Who will be the first to shoot?
-What strategy would USA need to counter China in a war?
-Would the Trump presidency be a factor in American (un)willingness to go to war given his unpopularity?
-What will the geopolitical implication in SCS and economic implication for USA if China wins?

The US needs way more super carriers

Bringing like 6 max to fight China is just asking for defeat

The US needs to get rid of their huge active land army which literally does nothing, greatly reduce the airforce, and pump all that money into more surface ships
>>
>>33058378

The US needs more submarines. At the moment, attack subs have the advantage over surface warships, and have higher survivbility than a bunch of destroyers which will likely be sunk in attrition like the ones the bongs lost in the Galklands in spite of their naval superiority.

I'm in the market for a 1911 for conceal carry. I'm leaning Colt (price isn't really a huge issue for me but I don't want something flashy) because a few veteran friends of mine swear by them (and the Springfield TRP).

I shot the Springfield 1911 (.45) on Saturday and did decently well (pic related, from range of 50-200 ft, first time shooting something larger than a 9mm).

Given the data linked (and that I shot the metal .45 with the same accuracy I shot a poly 9mm last week) should I get a 9mm 1911 over a .45 1911? https://www.buckeyefirearms.org/alternate-look-handgun-stopping-power

My reason for asking is because of ammo. The 9mm (the Colt Combat Commander as an example) can carry 9+1, but the .45 can carry 8+1. Is the extra bullet worth the smaller caliber (considering I'll always have a secondary magazine on me)?

STI 1911 might also be an option for you. They are higher end machined pistols. I have an STI Duty One with +2000 Rounds of .45 through it before I had my first malfunction. I just got a new spring + plug and it runs flawless again. Concealing a 1911 is another story.

A 1911 in 9mm for anything else than competition is a no-go for me. If you own a fun-gun get an appropriate fun-caliber.

Why doesn't every american own a gun? Buying a gun is relatively easy in USA, so what in the world could stop a person from doing it? Are they stupid or something? Why could sane person refuse a possibility of making himself stronger?

I live in a relatively safe area. But storage space is rather limited in my bedroom. Whats the best way to store ammo?

I just bought myself a Plano Storage trunk for my closet.

How does /k store their ammo?

Pic related what I bought, its pretty heavy so I don't think anyone will runaway with all my ammo.

I don't think there's any magic to ammo storage, other than keep it in your air conditioned house. Don't leave it in some damp basement corner or something equally retarded(especially polymer coated steel case, that stuff will rust). I just store it in a way that takes the least space, and preferably in something sturdy enough to handle the weight, and with handles that you can grab and move if you need to. Stacks of ammo boxes are a pain in the ass to move.
Some people go way out of their way to get air tight seals and silica packs, but I don't think that's too necessary, especially if you have ammo that's sealed against the elements on an individual cartridge basis(pic related).
