i'm really sorry in advance if this isn't the right board to post this but, im not really sure where else to put it
I got adobe after effects the other day and I started adding some sfx to an illustration to make it a bit more "alive"
I have no previous experience with this kinda stuff at all, so my first project looks kinda shitty, and I rendered it kinda badly as well, but I want to improve, so I started with another image;

im not sure what to add next however
also im not good at drawing/animating AT ALL, are those things needed to "get good" at video effects?

Seriously, i mean the first is okish.
But why did you turn smoke into bubbles? Also it looks a bit wrong because the different ammounts and the way bubbles go up from the orb dont really reflect on the lighting on the plague doctor.

What do you want to hear, exactly?
Comments on how the hand looks? On the design of the flower? On the colouring? On the idea?
Because there's not much to be said on what you've done. It's hard to care about something that was done in 2-3 minutes for an English project, the anatomy was traced, so it's slightly off in places, the idea isn't particularly interesting or new, and the choice of colours isn't particularly pretty.
Sorry if you were expecting a pat on a shoulder or a "you sure did a good job on that project there, anon!".
Move on with your life from this goddamn English project. Make something actually cool and worth showing. Nobody's saying you can't.

basically i'm a doodler, not really an artist but i doodle. BUT i can't draw women. no matter what they come out lookign like weird trannies. i'm not looking for a "how to draw a woman" guide (like in the sticky!) but just general tips on what i have to do differently from the men in my art style to make women in the same art style
maybe i'm wrong but I'm assuming there are some mostly universal laws on what to change from a man to draw a woman

A while ago, I participated in an art competition. I was selected as a finalist for round 2 where people could vote for their favorite entries online. I didn't make it to round 3. Is it a bad thing for me to tell others/announce that my entry didn't make it?
I asked many people to vote for me... So, is it a bad thing for me to tell them I didn't make it? The drawing competition is hosted by an animal shelter. In my family Whatsapp, they were just posting about how this little cousin of mine is dressing up as an animal for her school event and it's somewhat related.
