Why in western societies is it taboo and usually considered evil to consider oneself a Fascist or Nationalist but people everywhere call themselves a Marxist-Socialist, "Democratic" Socialist, or Communist and nobody bats an eye? If going by pure numbers marxist socialism has killed hundreds of millions more than right wing dictatorships ever have. Back in our grandparents' generation it WAS considered evil to be a socialist or communist and the ones of hollywood were constantly called out and attacked for it.

Dearest /his/,

Tell me about lynchings in the early 20th century. Were they justified or was it always black and white so to speak, straight up murder?
17 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
Many historians do their causes a disservice by making up bullshit where lynching victims are innocent, most people disagree against the death penalty in principle alone but when you stir emotions with transparent lies people start to sympathize more with the lynchers

Extralegal killing is literally straight up murder.

Lots of people died.. White people were afraid of blacks, propaganda made them believe blacks to be inferior savages, I'm sure there was a mixture of men who felt justified in there killing and also some fucked up heads who just wanted to bully/kill. I read one account of a pregnant mother hung upside down by her feet, they beat her stomach, then cut her open and they baby came out, they stomped it to death and the lady bled to death.

You come to power legally and hold the balance of power. Effectively you can pass whatever laws you like so long as they don't violate human rights.

How would someone take advantage of this situation to abolish, as much as possible, belief in god? Essentially you want to make the population as atheistic as possible.

Don't tell me belief in god can't be abolished because christianity and islam have killed-off many other religions throughout history, given similar political situations as described above. Are there lessons of history we can learn from their successes?

>Essentially you want to make the population as atheistic as possible.

You're a fucking idiot mate. Agnostic is the ONLY logical choice.

>chosing one un-proven assumption over another
>holding you beliefs to be true
Kek.

Belief in god will always remain within humans, whether or not they will be the big ones we know today are a different story.

Also, discovering the mechanisim does not solve the question as to why.

Atheisim is god dam retarded.

What happened to young men's hairstyles? In almost every picture in a 1966 yearbook guys have short hair combed to the side with a clean shaven face. In this 1972 yearbook just 6 years later, guys have longer sideburns and varying hairstyles with hair considered long for the time. Any of these haircuts would be unthinkable just 10 years earlier. Why did the average person's facial hair and hairstyle become something you could have however you want from every guy having short hair and no facial hair just 5 years earlier?

If time is infinite, isn't it sure that everything that's happened up to now will happen again some time?

If so, what's the inherent value of one's conciousness, when we know that it may not be unique?

Also, if Arnold lives twice in different points in time, would he be the same man in both cases, having both Arnolds lived the same exact experiences?

Is Abrahamic religion incompatible with democracy?
17 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Yes. Only polytheism is compatible with democracy, since it was invented by polytheists.

Every Abrahamic democracy needed to introduce some form of polytheism (multiple parties, multiple powers, etc.) to make it work, because it doesn't work under the failed abortion that is Abrahamism

You guys know that Greek democracy only happened in Athens, and even there, only for about 100 years? Also, it was far from a universal democracy.

Democracy in Christian (well, culturally, they are actually secular) societies is far more of a success story. Today, most Christian states are democratic, they even succesfully exported democracy to other civilizations, see Japan, Taiwan and Korea.

There were thousands of polytheistic societies from the ancient times, and only one city states became democratic for around 100 years.

Why is there a stigmatism against criticizing Islam the same way people criticize Catholicism, Christianity, or even the Westboro Baptist Church?

Is there some underlying guilt that the West is the primary cause of all of this Extremism?

How much of this because of the West's involvement in the Middle East, or is it a problem with Islam's findamental beliefs?

Just wondering why people are so quick to use the Westboro Baptist Church as an example of the problems with Christianity, yet these Extremist Muslim terrorist attacks are not allowed to be connotated with "Moderate" Islam in our society.

There isn't, Islam is continually criticized. This idea that you can't just comes from people who do it endlessly feeling like victims because someone tells them its wrong to want to kill millions of brown people they've never met.

>The separation of science and non-science is not only artificial but also detrimental to the advancement of knowledge. If we want to understand nature, if we want to master our physical surroundings, then we must use all ideas, all methods, and not just a small selection of them. The assertion, however, that there is no knowledge outside science - extra scientiam nulla salus - is nothing but another and most convenient fairy-tale.
