Convince me to switch to Android
Right now, how I see it, iOS has:
inbuilt flux (there are versions on Android that *might* work with some rootable phones, or might kill an AMOLED screen)
imessage, though I wouldn't mind losing it it's convenient
far better app support - I've tried snapchat and many games/apps on android and they often don't compare, even google's apps tend to be better on iOS
still the best fingerprint sensor on a phone
comparable camera to most flagships
better update support than any Android except a Nexus (even then they get officially supported for longer)
android has:
wide range of devices to choose from
potentially better battery than an iPhone
usually much better screens - the iPhone screen is just okay for me, not impressive at all, particularly brightness when it's sunny
direct file access - iTunes is garbage
usually cheaper phones
far better customisation
Google Now which blows Siri out of the water especially with automated stuff like package tracking, flight tracking, etc
iOS is for it you want it to just week. It's simple to use and aesthetic (IMO).
Android is for power users who want more freedom. You can get custom launchers and do a lot of things you'd need to jailbreak on an iPhone to achieve

Either way it looks like you've already given good reasons to stay/jump ship
Why haven't you bought a Skull Canyon NUC yet?
Too poor? Just hate Intel?
>>54976020
post yours with your build and then i'll tell you why.
until then just another marketing thread.
>>54976020
The performance is still awful compared to any discrete GPU.
BOOBOBOB

What's with the excessive documentation?

I-I'm just starting o-out with SFML.NET
A usb I keep a lot of shit on doesn't seem to be reading properly on my desktop or laptop computers. There is some shit on it that I need like right now.
It shows the usb as hidden "Removable Disk" and asks to put a disc into the drive.
How would I fix my usb without losing the files on it?
man windouz is ugly af
You should have had safely removed the device.

I did though...
A function:
> is a program organization unit that returns one immediate result.
> is directly called with its name (not through an instance).
> has no persistent state from one call to the other.
> can be used as an operand in other expressions.
That's nice, anon.
>>54975825
Also only has 1 input
Functional languages can do this with multiples due to currying, so it is still technically 1 argument
>>54976256
Only works with lexical scoping which isn't included in OP's definition.
What is the cost of A* search in the worst case?
anyone has the answer for this retarded question?
>>54975678
The time complexity of A* depends on the heuristic. In the worst case, the number of nodes expanded is exponential in the length of the solution (the shortest path), but it is polynomial when the search space is a tree, there is a single goal state, and the heuristic function h meets a certain criteria:
>>54976774
>In the worst case, the number of nodes expanded is exponential in the length of the solution (the shortest path),
What? No it's not. You can trivially construct an input where the length of the shortest path is 1 but the algorithm takes an arbitrary amount of time to finish.

What?
What is your favorite free forum platform?
I am thinking of hosting one and so far I think discourse is a good option to consider, what do you guise think?

phpbb obviously

i don't like node but nodebb is nice

Let's say with your genius, you discovered an algorithm that would do something very incredible (like say compress files at a very incredible rate).
Would you open source it and let other companies make money out of it or close source it and make a company of your own and make riches?
>>54975418
lets say, you find a way to subtly shill shit tv shows on /g.
would you do it every day??
Closed source. I'm not a /g/ pleb so I would want to be rewarded for my hard work.
>>54975441
No because I don't get paid to.
This thread is about open sourcing novel software.
what editor do you guys use and recommend ?

Atom.
Bitches love power mode.
Just how fucking bottlenecked is this card? Every new benchmark that comes out just has it perform better and better. This is going to become the i5 2500k of the GPU world.
>there are people who bought the 980ti instead of the future proof Fury
I bought a 980ti only because the fury wasn't out yet and I needed a high end gpu asap.
I regret it now.
>>54975084
AMD's hardware is just better, the software matures overtime, take a look at the 7970, the 290x, and now the Fury.

Trying to spoof my iMac's MAC Address
Once I type in
"sudo ifconfig en1 ether 10:9a:dd:xx:xx:xx" terminal accepts the command however I can no longer connect to WIFI.
It apparently connects but can not retrieve a DHCP IP. I try manually setting the IP and no luck either. Can anyone offer some help?
On OSX 10.11.5 (El Capitan)
p.s. when I reboot, I can connect fine to any wireless network (also resets the MAC addy)
>>54975071
read the ifconfig man page. I'm sure it has something in there talking about why that would happen. If not, check the wpasupplicant man page (assuming you use that in your system).
>>54975071
yeah cause you need to change it on the wls1 interface
There's a couple of days that Youtube videos are loading, loading but I can't watch them? Anyone else got this problem? I'm pretty sure it's not my internet because all other sites are working just fine.

Do keep it there for latency or security reasons?

Yup sure do.
