Can someone please help me get the photos off my phone? Today my friend dropped a dumbbell on my phone and destroyed the screen. The top inch of my galaxy s6 worked for about 10 minutes before it completely stopped displaying things. Here are the problems I cant get around
>The cloud didn't back up the photos because its retarded
>its a galaxy s6 so no SD card
>Somehow the screen didn't crack but everything behind the that bent backwards rendering the touch screen unusable
>the screen isn't displaying things
>BIGGEST problem, I have a mother fucking password on, WHICH, if i got past could sync the files onto my computer
PLEASE /g/ i have about 5 years worth of irreplaceable photos that I'll lose on a device that still technically works just because whoever designed the S6 had down syndrome and had no sd card for me to save things on.
Pic related, a more exaggerated version of what my phone did
thanks for reminding me about making a backup

How to find out if my girlfriend is cheating ( no surveys please )
Just break up with her right now.
Even if you looked at her shit and found nothing, you're never going to trust her again.
>>54969215
fuck off with this facebook shit and kill yourself
>>54969232
Yeah basically. If you don't trust her enough that you need to read through her messages the relationship is already over.
>that guy who gets autistic over YIFY releases
You're watching the same movie in the end
>>54969184
Dunno if autism, but I have tTorrent rigged up to RSS results on Kat for YIFY 720 BRRips because decent res movies at just over 700mb is pretty nice and I've been nabbing shit from YIFY for years. I've occasionally grabbed someone else's releases, but I know what I'm getting from YIFY
>>54969485
I'd rather get a 1080p x265 release at 1GB
>>54969642
Running off a 3G phone hotspot and cramming it into a laptop HDD with ~500GB total space makes me shave every byte I can lol
Do they actually help?
>>54969102
Helps the airflow rather than relying fully on convection through what's probably a tightly packed device.
>>54969519
Yeah obviously I know it's not some desktop CPU power cooler etc.
But wondering it it actually helps with some temps and mild gaming.I mean for the prices. Cannot be that much of a fail
>>54969560
Yes they work. They move the hot air out of the laptop MUCH faster
Why are old people so incompetent with technology when it's people in their generation that created all that we have today? Do people just tend to ignore the advancements their own generation makes?
>>54969049
#notalloldpeople
they don't give a fuck as death is imminent and you feel like a special snowflake when you solve their needs, so it's a win/win.
You stop caring about stupid shit like ricing Loonix as you get older and instead focus on making the most of your dwindling time

Could we get a word filter for these:

Getting a pajeet word filter would be hilarious.

So, other Shells exist. Take the wonderous zsh, or the cozy fish-shell as examples.
Does anyone actually do shell scripting in any shell that isn't either a dialect of the standard Unix shell or Bash? I can't say I've ever seen anyone ever write or use a zsh or fish-shell script before, much less use it for anything but personal use.
Does anyone do scripting in alternative shells?
Nobody uses these outside of a few fringe circles, and certainly nobody tries to release scripts for non-bash shells.
>>54968964
Powershell. To be honest, it's really good.
>>54969060
Those were my thoughts as well.
I wonder why the developers even bother putting effort into their shell's scripting capabilities if nobody's going to even end-up using it. Is it because writing a language is butt-easy easy these days? And is that why every hipster I know mentions the word "lexer and token analyzer" at least once per day?
Why do people waste all this time and effort creating new meme languages when their predescessors were enough?

What does sam hyde do for money?
A lot of MDE sketches look expensive as hell to produce and I'm quite sure his youtube channel isn't raking in a lot of money.
Plus, he always looks like a homeless person.
>>54968912
He has an adult swim show coming out.
Not even joking. Its called world peace and comes out later this month.

Looking for a smartphone with the best possible camera for around up to 400 Euros.
What are my options?
Currently thinking of the Nexus 5x and Moto X Play/Style.
The lack of optical image stabilisation, average battery life and plastic build seem to be the only negative aspects of the 5x.
I could always cover up the plastic build with a nice case - anyone got any decent for the 5x by any chance?
Also saw that you can tool around with the software and enable EIS on it - which improves the video quality a lil bit - but strips you of the warranty.
Can't say much about the two you're considering , but when I was trying to make that same decision a few months ago, I went for a LG G4. Lots of manual control (if you're into it), RAW shooting, and the best camera on a smartphone I have ever owned. The 5X was my second choice, but it wasn't available in my country at the time.
Looking at some comparison pictures from GSM Arena, the 5X pictures seem to be a bit less grainy and sharper than the Moto X Play, and pretty similar to the G4 (and G5 for that matter). From those two I'd go with the 5X, even though I had a Moto X in the past and I dig the design a great deal, if the camera is what concerns you, the Nexus is IMO a bit better.

Yo, /g/, what's the best way to minimize buzz/hiss interference when using onboard sound? Just upgraded my shit (Core i7-6700K on a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 board), and suddenly I've got way more than on my old setup for some reason. Tried switching between front panel (makes an ungodly noise) and back panel (makes a buzzy hum, more pronounced when playing games). Assuming it's something to do with board-level interference, where would I go about starting to track that down?
just get a USB DAC
>>54968946
USB DAC's are retarded.
A 60€ PCI-E Creative card will do fine.
>>54968971
It's the same shit

UMI IS THE BEST GIRL IN THE WORLD.
sup /g/,
looking for a good quality laptop. i don't need a graphics card, but would like something that is decently fast and has a nice battery life
i've seen the specs of zenbooks (like the ASUS Zenbook UX303UB-DH74T) and they look good. is there anything wrong with these laptops?
laptop will be used for "getting things done" for coding and web development. basically a way to not procrastinate. as my desktop has games and firefox (i have 500 tabs open right now, it's a serious problem, another 100 tabs in chrome)
>>54968600
bump, any other laptops i should check out?
the Razer Blade Stealth has nice reviews too, so does the macbook air 2015, what do /g/?
Thinkpad t420 with some GNU/Linux distro
Hey /g/
What's your opinion of Cyanogenmod 13 ?
CM + f-droid is the only way to use android
>>54968497
skipping it because it doesnt support supersu for my device
>>54968593
if only there was a decent maps alternative and ability to use my google voice number without hangouts
Based AMD didn't fall for the overpriced LGA meme.
Yeah, just break that $200 CPU instead of the $80 motherboard XD
>>54968477
Fuck yes!
LGA is a meme.
>>54968530
Just unbend the pin you incompetent fuck.
>>54968477
Was known for a while that AM4 is PGA.
>>54968530
The thing is with PGA, neither of them break. If a heat spreader gets glue to a heat sink the locking arm isn't holding onto the pins with enough tension to unseat them from the package. The CPU will lift straight out of the socket with enough force.
Its easier heating up the heat sink with a hair dryer and removing a stuck CPU than it is dealing with a bent locking mechanism on an LGA board.
What programming language would you recommend someone learn who is interested in computers and technology but doesn't need it for his future career?
>>54968413
phython
>>54968451
Is it fairly universal or would you compound it with anything afterwards?
>>54968512
I don't know anything about phython or programming I am not a programmer phython is just the only programming language I can name
sorry I shouldn't have given advice
