On ubuntu? you can't
install gentoo
I wasn't entirely sure where to post this, but I figured you guys would be able to help. I recently acquired an iPhone 6s, which is still locked from the previous owner.
>it would be unwise to contact the owner
>implying I ever could
That being said, a quick search of the IMEI number shows me that iPhone has an iCloud activation lock, so I would not be able to wipe it without turning it into my own personal paperweight. As such, I am looking for any unconventional methods to unlock this thing and make it my own. Perhaps replacing some internals, the apparent "brain" of it?

Too bad you can't replace the apparent "brain" of niggers
I alerted the authorities, OP.
Hope you enjoy getting raped in prison.
will the 1070 sell out instantly when it goes live on june 10th and be unbuyable for a month to come?
I've never bought a graphic card at release before so i'm not sure how it goes. do i need to buy 1 right away to make sure i get one?
also is it only going to be this "founder's edition" crap released on the 10th? I don't want the F.E.

i am also wondering the same thing,
i have literally been waiting on this for two weeks to build my PC

It will be much more available than the 1080, the gddr5x in the 1080 restrained their ability to mass produce it. The 1070 uses regular gddr5, so it'll be more available, theoretically at least.

What should I do with the money I'm making from my internship?

Learn how to invest in the market & buy some shares around September.
If you manage to grow your investments around 1 mil, you can basically just retire and live off the dividends.
I was helping my dad go through his old computers today. For some reason, rather than being pleasantly nostalgic for machines I used when I was a kid, I was just depressed that they were still running and still had filenames I recognized.
How much emotion do you invest in the computers of your childhood, /g/? Do you hesitate to throw them out?
>>54970636
I didnt have any computers in my childhood. I wasnt allowed to use any computers except for things at school. I didnt have a computer until i bought one freshman year (I'm 19 btw.) This wasnt because of poorfagness, its was just that my dad is weird.
>>54970636
I threw them all out. 10/10 working great looking machines.
Instant regret when I look on ebay and everthing listed looks like it's been through hurricane sandy.
>>54970669
I could only use them under direct parental supervision, which was basically just dad reading car magazines in the kitchen while I played Close Combat.
I don't get it, I get nostalgic to the point of tears when I stumble on an old swing or trail or book from when I was a kid, but old computers bother me.
Is there even a way to make a city launch off the surface of the planet breaking gravity and entering space? Is there even enough fuel left on the planet to use in the rockets to perform such a task? Would we have to use some kind of thermal nuclear fusion rocket? Maybe an array of them? I know it would depend on the size of a city but lets assume its big enough to hold 150000 people and supply them food grown on hydrochambers with the aquatic ecosystem biodome. If it were possible, what would it take, and do we even have the ability? Would it require tech we can't even concieve of yet?
Hilariously inefficient.
Build space elevators, build your city in high earth orbit, transfer people from the planet to the city.
>>54970679
Can we build that high? What keeps the elevators being ripped to shreds by weather and wind?

Thinking about getting the SE, I'm coming from Android and am used to 5-5.5in phones but the SE didn't seem too uncomfortable to switch to when I tried it at the store. What does /g/ think of the SE?

Hey /g/, Is it possible to use the graphics card for computational processes other than graphics? Like to do parallel processing? Where can I learn more, any advice? Thanks ahead of time. Pic unrelated.

>The day 2 ofMicrosoft Build 2016came as a shock to the tech world when Microsoft announced that it has bought Canonical, the parent company of Ubuntu Linux, and shut down Ubuntu Linux forever.
>Along with acquiring Canonical and killing Ubuntu, Microsoft has announced that it’s making a new operating system called Windows L. Yes, L stands for Linux. Oh, and also, it won’t be open source.

Even the HP Prime series can't hold a candle to the 49 series.
