why haven't you used the distro with perfect out of the box experience?

waiting for more softwares in repos. Ikey is doing the work of 5 persons, he will break soon if they don't recruit.
>>54966471
I don't think Ikey will do that
>>54966406
You mean perfectly useless. They don't ship enough packages, the documentation is piss poor and when all is said and done you end up installing a bunch of stuff manually from source anyway because of this.
Who cares if there are user-supported repos if it's such a burden to figure out where they are what they are? I could scrape the forums, but if I were Joe F. Retard I wouldn't waste my time there.
No, Ubuntu and its derivatives still hold the best OOBE title because the sperglord maintainers are all properly pacified and Canonical realizes the first thing anyone is going to do is try to install something new.
Hey guys, any Googlers here?
I have two Google interviews (post recruiter meet'n greet) coming up and I wanted to snag as much advice as I could.
First interview is for the run of the mill Java dev position. All I know about it so far is that it's literally ground up from requirements gathering to post-launch maintenance.
Second interview is for an ads solution engineer position. I have zero information on this position besides that it's probably for google ads words work.
just google it
>>54966388
I sure hope you're not a white male. Even turning up for those interviews would be a hate crime.
They're gonna drill you on what you claim to know make sure you know it.

How badly did I fuck up by buying an unlocked Intel Core i5, which is missing the Intel VT-d feature?
How much are my VMs suffering from this?
Will they survive the winter?
And also, is it true that the Core i5 locked and unlocked models are 1:1 identical at the transistor level, with one of the very few differences being that Intel flipped a "dis shit be unlocked" bit somewhere on the die - and for which they greedily marked it up by $30?
>>54966209
Yes.
And yes. There's no hardware reason why non-K chips can't overclock (as seen in the recent Skylake non-K overclocking unlocked by motherboard manufacturers). They're just prevented from doing so because Intel are the biggest kikes around.
You're only missing out on passthrough pretty much, but I've seen memes about it on tumblr.
>>54966209
Should have gone with an FX 8 core if you needed to do virtual machine work
Any idea when or if S7 users like myself will be able to root? I know the ones with without the Snapdragon processor can but unfortunately that's the one I have.
You probably need a Linux kernel vulnerability or a major one in Marshmallow before you'll get root, I'm afraid

How many of you actually pay for things with your phone on a regular basis?

Will Windows 11 be the "next 7"?
Took this screencap after I searched for it, was too good to pass up.

windows 10 is the last windows. It's now a rolling release. Windows 10 will just get new features as they are rolled out.

How is AMD going to survive the 1060?
Two 480 can't even beat a 1080.
>>54966022
sorry i have skipped all the disscussion about it, at what price is te 1080 coming?
>>54966193
About $600 ish for non-reference cards.

I miss my 580's and this 970 is a little underwhelming. If AMD ever gets their shit together I'd consider it.

Is this good internet? I always lag playing Xbox but other websites say this is a good speed
The ping isn't terrible, game should be playable
But overall its pretty mediocre internet.
It's really just "okay". If you are the only one gaming on it, it shouldn't be a problem.
What's your process for cleaning up your pc when it runs slow? I've run scans from two different anti viruses (Avira and avast) and tried malware scanning with anti malwarebytes but am still seeing sluggish performance.
Bonus question: what Antivirus are you guys running? avast is starting to get annoying with all its ads for premium service

how good are your anti-anti-anti-adblock filters /g/?
can you pass the test by loading the following video?

That site looks like malware so I'm not even going to bother.

It loaded fine and I don't even have reek's anti-adblock killer enabled
I just got tricked into clicking on your site, didn't I op
