Winblows 10 parjeets literally BLOWN THE FUCK OUT by Steve Gibson

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxGmQWrNQC4&t=12m12s

tl;dr

> Windows 10 is not more secure
> Windows 10 is not a different OS
> In fact, newer, probably lower quality code which is a trend nowadays with all the cheap workforce from India, could have even more bugs when compared to older, more mature, well proven code
> Said newer code being yet another layer on top of the old one

Meaningless when the code isn't auditable.

Well, that's apparently every pajeets' argument for winblows 10 nowadays.

Hey guys i need help. I cant fucking figure this out.

>friend brings over old tower says i can have it
>take out ram from my pc and troubleshoot it
>everything seems fine if abut outdated
>put ram back in main pc
>1 long beep and 2 short ones
>look it up apparently motherboard cant detect ram
>wtf?
>try it again with friends ram
>still beeping
>try my friends and my ram on friends tower
>it works perfectly

What the fuck happened? It cant be the ram as they both work on my friends pc. Is it my motherboard? How could the ram ports possibly be damaged? I literally did nothing wrong

/g/ is not your personal tech support

sounds like the ram isn't seated correctly & is improperly installed

make sure to build up some nice static electricity by rubbing the ram sticks in quick circles on the carpet

Are you matching the pair properly?
(I don't even know if that's relevant anymore)

need an office suite on linux

should i trust chinkware, or should i stick with the heap of shit that is libreoffice?

I don't know what is this, but LibreOffice fully suffices my needs.
>>
>>54977401
Depends on what you want to do with it...
I don't know WPS, but here is my experience with LO of what works and what not.

- creating simple texts like letters or assignments you don't care to much about. Works
- creating homeworks or bachelor thesis. Works. If the kerning pisses of the prof, even better.
- creating semantical styled rich text: It's actually a nightmare in every office and other software, as there is no proper rich text semantical highlighted software dedicated to it.
- tables: works, as long as you don't rely too much on VBA macros
- presentations: somewhat works as long you don't care for compability, buggy though, so if you do this often

About the rest, I don't know, but who knows if this WPS covers this.

There is literally nothing wrong with LibreOffice.

Why do people freak out the second they encounter any sort of computer trouble? Windows and most softwares hold your hand through every step but people can't be assed to read what's in front of them.

Beautiful and functional. It should take the mantle of the premier open source mail client from Thunderbird since TB development is apparently stagnating.

I am pretty sure this was already discussed but I really wanted to read people opinions nowadays.
I am planning to dual boot Windows and Linux. I would be using Windows for playing games and Linux for general use like browsing, coding, watching streams and etc. My question is: Which version of Windows should I use nowadays? I read around mixed opinions, some say it's better to go with Windows 7 and some say Windows 10 Enterprise is okay to use.
What is /g/ opinion?

I would recommend Windows 7, but it depends if you are going to use Win8-only programs.
DirectDraw in the Win8 is shit so old games will be running awfully slow.
