>staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before
>staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers
>sneaky bastards will try to convince you into believing that cheating can be evaded, it can't and you will be banned with those bastards laughing at you
>people may report emails and other personal info posted here to staff to get you banned
>most of the invite offers here are people trolling you with false hope - begging for invites is a waste of time and you should just interview at What.cd

So, I want to get in bed and read a book while being extremely comfy, but I'm afraid the ventilation exhaust is going to get blocked and the computer will overheat. The manual said to only use it in hard surfaces, but the temptation is too big.
Pic is a representation of what I want to do, so you get an idea.

What are compatible GPUs for FX 6300? Considering upgrading my GTX 550
At which resolution and refresh rate do you intend to play?
>>55172892
something in the rang of 280x
I recently discovered a moneysaving lifehack, most of media would tell you to upgrade to a 1080, 980, R480 or something like that, however...
If you buy 3 GT460's, put them in 3way SLI, you'll get the same performance as that of a expensive GTX1080.
I tried this our of my own curiosity and it worked.

Is it just me or are Core2 processors infact 2 processors on 1 chip? Because lscpu registers it as 2 CPU's, and if I disable SMP I only see "1" core.
From Linux config:
>CONFIG_SMP
>This enables support for systems with more than one CPU. If you have a system with only one CPU say N. If you have a system with more than one CPU, say Y.
>If you say N here, the kernel will run on single and multiprocessor systems, but will use only one CPU of a multiprocessor system. If you say Y here, the kernel will run on many, but not all, singleprocessor system. On a singleprocessor system, the kernel will run faster if you say N here.
>See also the Documentation/smp.tex, Documentation/smp.txt, and the SMP-HOWTO available at http://www.tldp.org/docs.html#howto.
>If you don't know what to do here, say N.
What do you think? Can I see your lscpu or /proc/cpuinfo?
>>55172510
Every multicore CPU is going to do that.
a core is a CPU retard
>>55172510
how do you not know this?
This guy was right, Programming is fucking boring tedious work, You don't have to be skilled or even know much about it really. Just have a fundamental understanding of the language you are using and copy paste shit together until it works filling in the gaps along the way.
I've made several android apps this way.
He can't stop it and neither can i.
>>55172470
who is that faggot?
>>55172470
Probably because the apps you are creating are generic and boring. Yes, you can just copy shit off Google but that doesn't mean you understand it, so when it breaks further down the line or you want to change it, you'll be SOL.
>>55172470
>Programming is fucking boring tedious work
Yes because maybe you should stop trying to solve every problem with the same CRUD shit you shit out, you tumor.
