Good /g/ anons, anyone experienced with cheaper Chinese windows tablets? I am thinking of buying the Chuwi H12 but would love to hear your opinion.

Main purpose is for internet shitposting and split screen for work/school with onenote and a pdf open. I have an ipad mini that fits nicely into most lab coats but no split screen function to refer to a reference book while typing in onenote. Should I wait a bit more for a newer model?

Do you place it as the intake or as the exhaust?

Hi guys,

I bought a cheap offshore FTP backup storage, but it's just an FTP without any way to securise it.
But I got a VPS... And I mount the FTP on it with CurlFtpFs.

But I don't feel safe with it. I want crypto everywhere. So I was thinking about create a big empty file on this ftp, and use it as an encrypted filesystem in a file.

Do you think it's a good idea? Do you think the russian hosting will not being mad about this usage if it's works?

I'd opt for a 650w PSU because it's never good to stress it too much. I'd also go for the Asus Z170 Pro as it comes with better components and overall higher quality PCB. Other than that, this is fine.

HAHAH
Guys I fucked up
I ran "rm /*" on our Debian production server. Now it can't find anything in the usr/bin/ directory.

NOTE that it was not rm -rf /, it was explicitly rm /*. I'm thinking it didn't devastate everything since all the files not in the root directory are there, but for some reason it won't take any of my commands aside from echo and cd. What did it break, exactly? Am I just missing symlinks? If I pop in a Debian CD, can I just reinstall the core files and drive into the sunset?

Yeah not buying it. Nice troll thread though.
>>
As an update, all the files in /usr/bin are still there (I can see them with echo *), so I think it might've nuked a symlink. Any idea what I need to recreate to fix this?
>>
>>55180093
I wish it were a troll. Fat-fingered the ./*. Shit happens. There's nothing super-vital on there anyway, as it's just a failover system and there's backups, but I'd like to un-fuck it without resetting the whole thing.

Hi /g/!
So im looking for a cloud app that can be installed over a network (windows clients) and use a part of the client hard disk as a storage for a community cloud with redundancy, instead of a server with a single (or multiple) hard disk. Is there a cloud app that works this way?

>Researchers have found that software piracy is directly linked to intelligence on a national scale. Covering more than 100 countries, the study shows that software piracy rates are lower in more intelligent nations. However, that doesn't mean that 'dumb' countries have no option to curb this trend.

>In a rather straightforward analysis, the research examines the link between national IQ scores and local software piracy rates, which are reported by the Business Software Alliance. As can be seen below, there’s a trend indicating that countries with a higher IQ have lower software rates.

Note: I don't care about storage because I have everything on 10TB RAID thingy. No, I don't care about SSD vs HDD unless you convince me about which is better than the other. Also, I should mention that I have been doing IT work for 6 years.
