TL;DR
Unless you are FOSS or have to work for enterprise and configure servers don't give a shit about SystemD.

Do you like linear algebra?

You're seriously going to tell me that Linux is more complex than Windows? I can't think of a distro where the antivirus is constantly on, with only the option to temporarily disable.
I don't think running a couple of commands to disable a service is "more complex" than the stupid group policy editing bullshit fucking hoops I have to jump through just to disable the antivirus for more than a couple days at a time to stop the constant notifications from Windows Defender and the constant fucking disk usage.

How do I make Windows 10 as secure as Linux or as secure as possible?

What I do know

1. Use a limited user account.
2. Use Sandboxie.
3. Install a good antivirus.
4. Use Common Sense 2016 (don't download suspicious files, etc.)
5. Use Adblock.
6. Disable Flash and Java.
7. ...

Please tell me measures to add to this list.

>inb4 Use Ubuntu/Install Gentoo etc.
It's for my mom. She is tech-blind. Impossible for her to use Linux.

I've been through the same situation as you few months back. I gave up. You just can't secure Windows like Linux or bsd. Sandboxie is an unstable garbage I'd you don't know yet

keep Windows in a disconnected VM
>>
>>55645913
>As secure as Linux
Can't, there's kernel level spying going on.
>As secure as possible.
Don't use Windows 10... Use an older version of Windows (7/8, they're supported until like 2022.)

If you really have to use Windows 10... Just go through the settings and turn off as much as possible. Will this stop it from being insecure? *shrugs*

As for general security, what you have is good, but add something like DeepFreeze so that if she DOES get something... Rebooting will fix it... This is assuming that she DOESN'T save things often.
>>
>>55645913
it's impossible, you can do some things but it won't be as secure as GNU, if you want security then stop using Windows, it's not secure at all, it's built on ease of use and that's all.

Apple computers today are complete garbage but if you go back to the 90s Apple Computers were not AIDS positive cancer they are today.
For me I find it quite nice to Dualboot Arch alongside OS 9 on this Powerbook G3 Wallstreet.
Just the name alone would rustle some Tumblr Macbook communists.

I'm not a MacFag. The only Apple product I've ever owned was an iPod Classic many years ago.

MacBooks dominate their market for a reason. Retina displays are superior, Mac OS is superior, despite the clones MacBooks are still superior in terms of aesthetics.

>But you can install GNU/Linux on them so the OS argument is invalid.

Nearly every single pseud-normie buying a Windows ultrabook will never even think about changing the OS. The vast majority of people who need a *NIX environment for real work in the real world use MacBooks.

If you're just a crusty ole' /g/uy that needs to put Linux on a laptop, just use a T429

Yes taking over ships, raping, stealing and killing people oversea is fucking bad and awful.
Oh you meant sharing files on the internet freely? It is an act of love and must continue, trying to make files not able to be copied is like trying to make water not wet, piracy is such a propaganda term.
