Hey /g/ I've been looking on amazon for a portable music player, but they either have really shitty looking ones or ones that are too expensive. I'm looking for one that has 64-120gb and has a solid battery life while still looking sleek. I also only want to spend at most $300. Do you guys have any suggestions? What portable music player do you use if you use one? What is a good website to find them? What are the best brands? Portable Music Player general I guess too

My PC just took a shit while I was playing vidya and restarted for the first time in its life. The only thing I have done recently is install an 850 Pro SSD.
I checked the temps when the PC rebooted and only the CPU temp was high: 64C. I don't think that can cause a restart?
Could it be that the PSU can't handle the power? Pic related are my specs. My PSU is CM GX 550w.

Hello /g/,
I own a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300D from 2007.
I recently cleaned the fans and reapplied thermal paste on the CPU.
At that point I thought it'd be a claver idea to replace the termal pad (Pic related) of the gpu with thermal paste.
Now I tried out a graphics intense game on my pc, it turned hot as fuck so I closed the game after half an hour. I kept using it and later went to sleep and shut it down.
2 days after that I now got a Blackscreen at bootup and after I was sure it wasn't Ram or Power I am convinced my gpu is fucked.
I discovered this video:

Which showed the guy just heating up the gpu to liquidify the glue on it or smth.
Question:
Why doesn't my GPU start and what does this fix do?
Could just reapplying a thermal pad solve it?
tl;dr Notebook GPU got way too fucking hot and now doesn't work. I want to find out why and how to fix it.

Hi /g/, I have a Nexus 5 as my primary phone and I need an upgrade because mine's started struggling with new software
I don't care that much for camera, I want a large selection of roms (which is a feature of the Nexus 5 for being a stock Google device), good battery life would be nice too
I know that the OP3 has crazy specs but what is it like in daily usage? Should I wait for the Nexus Sailfish to come out?
I don't really like big screens (inb4 manlet), 4.5~ would be ideal, 5 would be okay but there aren't many premium-grade devices in that range for some reason
I'm not interested in an iPhone SE because of the jailbreak thing

What exactly happened here? Why does Polaris have the same efficiency as a 28nm part? Look, Fiji was very close to perf/watt with Maxwell.. So why does it look like AMD completely shelved whatever magic they did with Fiji and went with something different with Polaris? Couldn't just a shrink of Fiji net a much higher perf/watt than what we have now?
Any theories on this extremely unusual phenomenon?

Since some people aren't aware of this, some parts of the die cost more to fab than the others, they're usually not super-replicated like the ALUs that's why you don't see 96ROPs on AMD's GPUs, Polaris being a midrange part, can run fine with one third of that, and half of Fiji.
tl;dr AMD doesn't consider the market Fiji is targeting ripe for a large swath of power reducing features and IP, Vega will be what you call a Fiji replacement, perf/watt and all, so expect something similar to Pascal.
