Hello /g/ bros I have a quick question.
What is the best programming software for coding in Java on a Mac? I am beginning college on Monday and I would like to hear your recommendations.

this bloated pos is probably your best bet if you're just getting started and need some hand holding

Just drop out now. You're going to end up in a McJob either way. The only difference is with or without a mountain of debt.
>>56280401
College is free in Sweden, and I live close to school so no debt at all
Do you use github? Is gitlab any more convenient?
>>56280201
I fucking hate when people post fucking reddit frogs.
i only use github
gitlab is some cheap chinese knockoff
>>56280227
you mean /pol/ memes?
Where were you when the true router OS was released?

so i just torrented a lot of animu and i was wondering if there was a nice way to organize it, say in an application, instead of going through folders and clicking on each video individually
/adv/ sent me here
I use plex media server
Also if you're not excited about setting up a server you could check out kodi
>>56280573
ok so i like the idea of plex
i own a raspberry pi 2 but the problem is that i torrent all of my animu on my main pc and it stays on my hard drive
would i have to get an external hard drive to make this work well with my pi?
/g/,
I have an Ethernet port in my dorm that gives me Internet access, however I would like to get Wi-Fi so I can use it in my apartment nearby.
I bought a Belkin wireless router, is there any way I can configure this so when I plug it directly into the wall (via Ethernet) it will provide me wifi?
Disable dhcp and use it as normal.
Set it up as you normally would. Read the manual to work out how to set up the router. The only thing you need to do to make it an access point is disable dhcp
>>56280125
Disabling DHCP is really all I need to do?
Apple Internet Defense Squad will defend this.

old iPhones are having physical problems near end of life.
Apple is quick to the task and brings out new iPhone.
Now THAT's customer service!!

Wew lad, you got her, you don't need /g/ anymore
>>56279959
That article is hilariously misleading.
It is amazing how, with the Internet and so much information available in pure text, a story can get so messed up in the retelling.
This is why we don't need a thousand technology news websites.
Hello /g/, I work as a software developer for linux/windows applications, what linux distro should I install?
I like arch but some packages that I need don't have debug versions (wxgtk for example)
I used Xubuntu 15.10 up until now but it has it's own share of problems, one of them being an Ubuntu flavour, the others being stability issues (freezez, UI glitches)
The laptop I use is a piece of shit so basically I want a minimal distro, stable with good packages
gentoo

But I want to be productive senpai
based on this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Linux_distributions#Package_management_and_installation
openSUSE has most precompiled packages, also has a rolling release which is great, I might try it
You know, I actually liked Edge. It was fast, somewhat reliable and had built in news which I used extensively.
But the recent update to the botnet has made it literally unable to use. It was bad before, but it was fast. Now, I can barely open a tab without it crashing.
So fuck Edge.
nice blog
where do i click to subscribe
i didn't hate edge when i used it
pls no bully

Hey /g/ I want to broadcast an SSID that I can connect to from my RPI that doesn't actually connect to the internet but instead just goes to a webpage that I have stored locally on the RPI. Kind of like what you get at hotels.
If you could point me in the right direction or help me out it would be much appreciated

Been there done that.

Black Friday 2016 is on Friday, November 25, 2016!
https://blackfriday.com/
https://blackfriday.com/cyber-monday-deals
Working on my wish list for black friday / cyber monday. its all tech stuff of course, and I already know a fair bit about computer components so I could comment for others on that, but I need some input on tech like:
Routers / Modems,
Battery bank chargers for phones
decent medium TVs for consoles or computers, or monitors
Mice / Keyboards and other peripherals
Phones that might be dropping in price for black friday - androids like axon 7? maybe one plus 3? tablets, laptops, and other mobile devices
speakers, dacs, amps, other sound systems
and anything else one could think of for tech products. maybe software deals to look out for?
if you spend $1000 on Black Friday you'll save like $80 maybe
Cyber Monday actually doesn't exist, when Black Friday comes don't wait for the leftovers on monday
No thanks, i'd rather not get killed or trampled over anytime soon.
I'll just sit here on my crappy computer.
I'm going to buy some cheap speaker for my computer. Hopefully the prices on 470s will have dropped by then. I also want another SSD. maybe a 5TB HDD is the price is good. And a wireless KB/M.

What should I be looking for in a good dongle? Any recommendations?
When I was shopping around for my laptop a couple years back, I didn't realise what I was getting into with an Intel AC 7260 inside. It has been by far the worst connectivity and troubleshooting experience I've ever had.
I'm looking to get a usb dongle now, with the emphasis being on range and stability > speed.

Oh boy it looks like I've stumbled on a meme
Heyy Guys!!
I am looking for a realistic speech synthesis?
Can u help me?
>>56279367
Windows' text to speech, of course.
In all seriousness, there are software for blind people to use computers. You can try one of those.
install gentoo
Your OP pic sums it up pretty well, just break your input into diphones, use your pre-recorded dips for each then play them in succession. Bonus points for applying filters to make diphone -> diphone sound better
