16GB HBM2 on Vega 10.
>>56615745
Fuck me. The only thing that makes me feel okay with my Fury X is that the Vega 10 is also supposedly going to only have 4096 stream processors. If that's true, I don't imagine the jump from a Fury X will be worth it.
Also to consider is that I've got a custom cooling loop, and getting a new GPU would mean also needing a new block and back plate.
games are made with lowest common denominator in mind. if consoles and nvidia cards don't have more than 6 or 8 then that's the useful limit
Owning 2 AMD cards I must admit it is becoming a meme. Instead of making the GPU more powerful let's just throw more vram at it because biggest numbers are better right? AMD need to fucking sort their shit out. Vega better fucking deliver because you know just as soon as it drops a few weeks later (or less) Nvidia will drop the 1080Ti and wipe the floor with it.

Haven't seen a thread about the GPD Win for a while, it's basically a Laptop with Intel Atom CPU in the size of an Nintendo DS.
There are already tons of videos of the retail version prototypes on youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7A6uHEU66o
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1guTmlqmjEA
Here is a video of it running GTA5
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5sFfOSLEDY
Looks very promising so far, I just hope there won't be any issues with quality control once it hits mass production (probably already started).
Also, post other comfy small devices.
I pre-ordered mine. There's a controversy now about them switching back to the Z8700 chip from the Z8750 before it's shipped out due to either supply issues/bad drivers/not waking from sleep depending on who you talk to. It's not that big a deal except for a bug with alpha blending in the 8700 which can affect games. It's funny because most US users don't really care, but the Chinese users who ordered at JD.com are going apeshit and calling the developers dirty dogs.

Honestly I would get a 9 or 10 inch netbook instead. It's marginally bigger, but somewhere around 8-10 inches (depending on the size of your hands/fingers) is the absolute limit of whether you can touch-type efficiently on a keyboard. To me 7 inches is hopeless, with 10 inches I can hit 100WPM. Some people may be able to touch-type on an 8 inch laptop keyboard, but 5.5 inches? Not a chance.
>>56613097
The main point of that device is to play windows games and emulators though with the built in controller. The keyboard is really just secondary. It's for autists like me that have dreamed about having morrowind on the go. I'd use my phone for shitpposting before I'd use a GPD WIN.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

Well it probably does what it says on the tin. I only had the miband1pulse but it certainly recorded my steps, took heartbeat readings when I asked it too and gave some data on my sleep cycles. In the end it's best use a wristband to inform you of texts and emails. 30-40day battery is what I think puts it above fitbit and the like.

Xiaomi is known for quality budget stuff. At least, their phones, tablets, laptops are all great quality despite being cheapo.
So this Mi Band 2 thing might be ok.

Can I use it for my pc? Any ideas what can I do with it?

you can definitely use it for your PC, you may not be able to get 5.1 if it only has stereo inputs

Fuck dudes.
I was planning on being neet forever. I get enough swag from the government to live my life comfortable if I am VERY frugal. But life was getting boring. I was doing as much as i could every day, working on my machines, learning about interesting things but I felt like I wasn't going anywhere.
I decided to go back to school, middle of the summer. Was going to do software engineering but missed the deadline, and I guess my GPA could use a little boost. So I'm taking open studies. I got the last pick for every course, so i ended up in some compsci course for using 'application software'. My first lecture was yesterday. Pic related.
Fucking assassinate me.
