Okay /g/ so
I got this old ass PC to make into a shitty Gaming PC for my friend
It's a HP Compaq Dx2300
Which has a mutherfuggin PENTIUM D
So I slapped a 300w PSU in there and then i threw a GTX750ti in there and ill throw in a 2 gig stick of ram to make it 4gb total
This thing is running XP which I will put Win10 because that friend is a dingus and cant understand gentoo
So what i came here for is what kind of processor Should I put in this rig to make it bearable it's LGA 775 i think
I just wanna make them a shut old gaming PC for Like Fallout NV lmao
I also im triggered because of this PC
I know this isn't personal tech but I figured some of you would know better than a "professional" at tom's hardware

>Internet uses "...between 3.6 and 6.2 percent of all electricity worldwide."
>1/10 of world's energy is in the digital arena
>data centers alone in the US use, per year, the same amount of power as the entire UK does in three months
>A smartphone and its associated technologies in the home uses more power per year than a refrigerator
>and the data is getting bigger and bigger requiring more and more powerful centers and infrastructure to handle it

When are we going to stop being so irresponsible with our technology? We have to scale back our usage of the internet, and change what we use it for. Just imagine how much energy is being used to allow the hundreds of thousands of people to stream all the HD video now on the net.

What can possibly done about this? An obvious answer is to scale the capabilities back enforce power consumption laws and give up on our thirst for more, but that isn't likely to happen?

This can't go on, so what is the answer to it?

And no, you can't say "keep going until we stumble upon an answer."

Energy isn't a problem. The problem is environment hippies who are against nuclear energy.

But surely we also have to worry about the disposal of the waste at some time?

This is without getting in to things like set-up costs. Add to this that those in the position to sign off on this also benefit most from fossil fuel usage.
>>
>>57146579
Waste isn't a problem with modern thorium reactors. Nearly every problem with nuclear has been solved or came aside be avoided.

How do I write a script for NFC tags for my phone?

I live with a violent drug-dealing nigger. I bought a ring with a NFC chip embedded into it.

I want to be able to swipe the ring across the phone to start an app called "Smart Recorder" with the ignore silence option enabled. If there is a better recording program, I'd love to know.

I am not a programmer, so I am lost. I have Trigger and Tasker and various addons.

Could someone help?

Thanks

Anyone please? I cannot get the nigger kicked out of the apt unless I can provide proof; Being able to stick my hand in my pocket to start recording when he does nigger shit like be violent or smoke crack would really be useful to get him evicted.

I also have a NFC keychain, stickers, and the ring, All the newest versions with the most memory.

Plase help me get this nigger evicted and arrested.
