Been doing some reading on dirty electricity, namely how to make my power supplies and graphics cards last longer with very dirty rural electricity.

I have been using my laptop until I can build a new desktop, but I have noticed that every time my ac kicks on, I hear a fast buzz or click through my hardwired headphones.

As the laptop is on a decent surge protector, this worries me because I am not sure if my hardware is even being protected, and I'll lose another build to this BS.

What does /g/ use for surge protection? What is, and how can I eliminate the 'click" I hear through my audio when the air conditioning clicks on? Happens with headphones and stereo.

I already searched for this issue on multiple other sites and found no help. I did read the sticky.
This error is holding my laptops browser hostage refusing to let me do anything. I ran malwarebytes immediately and removed 6 adware things called uni blue.

Wtf is going on?

Hey /g/, not completely tech-related but recently applied at a Micro Center and passed the two interviews. Now just waiting on results for bg and drug test. Still haven't signed any papers yet. I know they have to push getting emails and warranties but I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience working at one. Lots of people rating it good/bad so it seems like an even split on glassdoor/indeed.

If you know how to discern dubious websites/programs you need no antivirus other than yourself. For normies, just load them up with Malwarebytes and tell them to run it whenever they think they got a virus.
