Someone please stop me.
I bought a Razer Kraken headset today. The guy at the store said it was the best they had under seventy euros, and it felt comfortable on my head.
I tried covering the tacky glowing logo with tape, but it's bright enough to shine right through. I'm not really sure what to do about that, except try to find some thicker tape. Other than that, the phones are not too bad.
My computer's USB audio output is way too loud, though. What software can I get to replace Windows volume control? Needs more granularity at low volumes.

Can we have a Computer Science thread?
Is the degree worth it?
>>57474866
Ask yourself this question, "Do I require this degree to get hired?" If not, the answer is that it's not worth it.

I went to school for IT. It was great for structure and learning quickly. There is a huge problem though, since I have no experience all that knowledge will be lost before used.
I need to work 2-5 years before I can take advantage of a lot of what I learned. Consider this for programming/comp sci as well. Try and be a code monkey before school. Find something with flexible hours and go to school while working.
You can even make an agreement with a company that you will get education while working there and they'll help with tuition
>>57474970
I shouldn't say all* but no one is going to let me do at least 60% of what I learned with no experience. Mainly because it involves production servers with lots of possibility to fuck it up.

I heard it connects to the internet faster. Not sure if true though. Apparently some guy's download speed was 3x faster with his pro than his original PS4.

Why can't shitdroid have a good browser like Safari on iOS?
I care why
>>57472007
I just use the stock browser (based on chromium) that comes with Cyanogenmod and it works fine
>>57472007
>a good browser like Safari on iOS?
You mean this?
>Inexpensive 990FX boards produced from 2011 until today that likely won't shoot up in value like X58, P67, etc
>New FX-8350 costs $150 and can be bought used for less
>Costs far less than a new Intel CPU and comes pretty close in performance
Is the FX line becoming to new Core 2 Quad for budget builders? we're still pre-Zen and the price is very good for what you get.
>>57437403
As long as you don't play the latest video games, AMD is fine.
In fact, it's an ideal choice for the budget conscious professional developer because it gets you ECC RAM at a low price point.
>>57437403
Yes. Fx 8350 is still outperforming i5 6400 despite a 3 year age gap and faster ram.
>>57437403
i burn my hand on my fx octomonster weekly, love it

Fell for the Nexus 6P meme.
So /g/ a friend of mine wants to buy the a new graphics card and was between the Gigabyte GeForce GTX1060 6GB and the MSI Radeon RX 480 Gaming X 8G, 8192 MB GDDR5.
Now he has a 60hz 1080 monitor and he just wants not to get old too fast.
I tried to get him to buy the 480 because AMD is clearly the best choice, and will get the best performance in 4 years time, but i was the minority in the discord server and some nvidiashills got him to buy 1060.
Can you get me some charts proving this shit, or articles or something, I dont want him to give his money to the jews.
1060 is 15% better at benchmarks now. Also better at VR which I consider to be the future in gaming.

Samsung is involved in CORRUPTION.
Samsung revenue is about 20% of Best Korea's GDP.

Is it smart to buy a 4K TV yet? A flatscreen one, not one of those retarded curved ones.
No. It would be like buying a 720p tv before 1080p came out. Just wait a bit.
No one knows but you, dude. Personally, my next TV will just be as high quality of a 1080p display as I can get now that those are a dime a dozen.
Times are great for those who aren't nitpicky.

not OP but I figured. Black friday is going to bring lots of 4K tvs under $1k. Best Buy is going to sell a 55in Sony 4K for $900
